Oh yes, you can get a TON of cards from this new Kits Collection kit, Colorful Kaleidoscope! Eek!
If you follow the kit directions, you can assemble 9 cards: 3 of these three designs.
But what I did was take the supplies for the three different kinds of cards, spread them out, and turn them into fifteen cards. If you repeat what the designs that I share today with the supplies for the other two sets, you will get 45 cards from one kit. Crazy, right?!
I love the gold foil in the main card base pieces in this kit.
This metallic accenting AND the details in the laser-cut layers make creating with this kit SOOOooo much fun!
So what extra products will you need to quintuple the kit?
Products I used… See below for a complete list of products linked to where you can find them in my online store.
Initial Measurements…Start out by cutting 45 Basic White Cardstock card base pieces that are 5-1/2” x 8-1/2″ scored parallel to the short side at 4-1/4.”
To turn the nine cards that you can make from the kit into 45, you’ll need to bring in outside envelopes too which means you can use the decorative kit envelopes in the creative designs for these additional cards.
Here are the first three of 15 different designs I came up with. The blue layer from the kit card base is 4-1/8″ x 5-3/8.” I added these laser cut layers with Multipurpose Liquid Glue which I sponged onto the backsides. The Silicone Sheet is great for using as a surface for the glue. And then I just made sure not to move the laser cut piece on my Grid Paper surface while applying the glue. Check out my Reel on Instagram or Facebook to see a quick look at these cards coming together.
Here are cards 4 & 5 of 15 different designs I came up with. The blue decorative layers from the kit card base are each 2-1/8″ x 5-1/2.” The Gold Trim initially measures 16″ for each card.
Here are cards 6 & 7 of the 15 different designs I came up with. The gray decorative layers from the kit card base are each 2-3/4″ x 5-1/2.” The gray plain layers from the kit card base (on the inside) are each 2-3/4″ x 3.” The Gold Trim initially measures 10″ for each card.
Here are cards 8 & 9 of the 15 different designs I came up with. The coral decorative layers from the kit card base are cut down the middle of the center star. The coral plain layers from the kit card base are 1-1/2″ x 4-1/4″ (the Just Because card) and 1-3/4″ x 4-1/4″ (the Thank You card). Then there are two strips 1-1/8″ x 4-1/4″ each under the top edge of the decorative layers to create borders. The Gold Trim initially measures about 6″ for each card.
And below are cards 10, 11, 12, 13, 14 and 15 of the 15 different designs I came up with. The decorative layers from the kit envelopes start out as full 2-3/8″ x 5-1/2″ pieces (as you see in this photo).
But then I cut each at their score line and arrange these two pieces on the card so the non-decorative area is more towards the inside. The plain layers from the kit envelopes (on the insides) are each 2-1/4″ x 3-3/8.” The Silver Trim initially measures about 6″ for each card.
I hope I inspired you. Be sure to grab up one or more of these kits before they sell out.

WOW! I love how you increased the card count with just one kit and they are ALL very nice!
Thanks Tonya! The kit made it easy with so many beautiful elements.
I love your cards, very creative.
Thanks Nancy!
I always love how you expand PP and kits. BUT, I can’t believe you didn’t do a u-tube on this card kit. I tried the facebook real but it is so fast I couldn’t follow it very well. The written directions also confused me. Love you anyway.
Thanks Bunny.
The reel was only an “extra” because I was playing and trying out reels. It’s not intended to be an instructional video. I’ve included written directions in this blog post. And when I have written directions, I do not usually have video instruction as well. Both take lots of time. And I’m a mom of teens. 😉
