A new Kits Collection kit arrived in my expedited order a couple days ago, and I (of course) was motivated to do something a little different with it. So while our house guests from Vienna were in Duluth for the day, I played around with the kit contents to see what I could do to “stretch” the kit. And I’m excited to show you what I came up with.
I just showed live on YouTube and on Facebook about an hour ago step-by-step directions for how to almost double the projects. I was able to get nine Christmas cards with the supplies for five of the tags from the kit by adding some extra cardstock, a pack of envelopes, some ribbon, sentiment images from the Brightest Glow Stamp Set, and some creativity. And now I’m sharing that video here in my blog post.
Plus my special guest Laia demonstrated how to make the tags using the kit instructions!

US BACK-TO-SCHOOL SALES TAX HOLIDAY Thirteen states and Puerto Rico are offering a sales tax holiday for school supplies during the months of July, August, or September. Products that are eligible according to the statute include “items normally used by students in a standard classroom for educational purposes.” To see the names of participating states, products exempted from tax, and sales tax holiday dates 2023 Tax Holiday spreadsheet here. CREATIVE CONNECTIONS 2023
About 300 Stampin’ Up! demonstrators gathered this past Sunday in Medina, Minnesota for Creative Connections, a yearly event by leader demonstrators for their demonstrator team members. Stampin’ Up!’s Logan Sutherland and CEO Sara Douglass attended this event which made it EXTRA special this year!
Here are a few glimpses of the fun. Twenty-seven of my team members were able to attend in person and here we are with Sara and Logan for a group photo.
This was one of the 35 global events this year being attended by SU staff members to celebrate Stampin’ Up!’s 35th anniversary.
I was one of the presenters at the event and shared my Million Sales Achiever stamp set, Layering Leaves. (I’m bummed I didn’t ask someone to take photos of me on stage, but here is a screen shot of the video recording.)
The energy in the room was amazing. Everyone was full of smiles, hugs, and kind words! These next photos are a few I took with or of my incredible Stampers With ART Stars team members.

I wanted to show off every bit of that paper that I could on one card without converting back to an accordion card or my 3-Panel Scenery Z-Fold. So I started looking through my swaps and gifted cards for inspiration. And ta-da!! Thanks to Michelle Carlson’s Joy Fold swap card and a bit of math, I was able to get started.
I made one and then kept going… eventually creating a Joy Fold card with every paper design in the pack. Some are made with one full sheet to keep the beautiful scenery intact. Some are made like a traditional Joy Fold card, using a couple patterns per card. And now if I just create 3 more of each I will have used up my whole pack of designer paper AND I’ll be set with 48 Christmas/winter cards!

I love the Missing Middle cards and wanted to try a horizontal/landscape version using the Cheerful Daisies dies as the connecting pieces. If you’ve never made Missing Middle cards, they are super easy. I can’t wait to share with you!
I just showed live on YouTube and on Facebook about an hour ago step-by-step directions for creating these cards with the Cheerful Daisies Stamp Set and Dies, pretty papers from the Masterfully Made Designer Paper pack, and other coordinating product. And now I’m sharing that video here in my blog post.
