Each month I send out a card that I designed with the recent Paper Pumpkin kit to a few of my subscribers. These fun Z-fold cards (the cards I’m sending to those subscribers this time) are designed with elements from the November 2022 From the North Pole kit, one of the North Pole Sacks, and a few extra tools and supplies. (By the way, there are just 5 days left to make sure you have an active Paper Pumpkin account so you don’t miss out on the NEXT kit. See below for more details.)
Here is how the cards appear when closed.
And here is how they look when open.
As you can see the North Pole Sack is cut into sections. It appears as one when open, but it allows the card to fold shut and just looks like a designer paper layer on the front when closed. (Shhh…don’t tell anyone but my middle strip is upside-down in the first open card.) The first two sections (front and middle strip) are sealed shut. The third one that acts as a pocket is sealed shut just on the left edge.
I added the third one first so that I could fold the card shut with it tucked right into the crease. Then I added the strip on the other side of that middle crease… again making sure the card could fold shut without causing any crinkles or bending of these sack layers.
Then I attached half of a glitter snowflake peeking out from the lower left corner of the first section.
Before adding this first (front) sack section though, I used it as a guide and randomly stamped the snowflake image (from the October 2022 Ho Ho Ho PP kit stamp set).
I also added the banner pieces so I could trim the tops to meet the top edge of this front layer. (Tucking a Dimensional under the bottom of the snowflake designer paper and ho ho ho banner creates a bit of shadow. But be sure to connect the tops of those banners flat.)
Add this front layer with adhesive only on the back left portion. You won’t want it sticky anywhere beyond that, or you won’t be able to fold your card shut.
Finally I embellished with word strips and white snowflakes from the kit.

I also can’t pass up creating a scrapbook page or two with every Paper Pumpkin kit I get. Here is the 2-page layout I came up with this time.
For my big giant snowflake, I used the scraps from the glimmer paper and one of the glimmer banners. I cut strips from the scraps and “v’s” from the banner. I also punched wings from the Songbird Builder Punch for the tips of the snowflake. I started with one large frame to make it symmetrical. And then after attaching it to a small vellum square for support, I cut it in half so I only had to build up the rest of the snowflake with half the extra pieces (v’s, strips and wings) and half the time and effort.
Before securing all my other layers and pieces in place, I made sure to stamp that snowflake here and there.

I have my first set of alternate projects from the November 2022 From the North Pole Paper Pumpkin kit ready to share with you today.
This kit contained the supplies shown below to make 12 festive Christmas tags (4 of 3 different kinds).
But I never assemble my kits as is, because I like to show subscribers other ways to use those supplies. I like to think outside the box…see what else I can come up with, and create alternate cards, scrapbook pages and more. So today I’m sharing with you…

12 tags turned into 36 cards (tripling the kit) These are 9 cards made from the supplies of 3 tags. To get 36, make everything 4 times.
A unique advent calendar I decorated the kit box, added a special insert made from cardstock, and then added decorated and numbered mini envelopes.

The North Pole Sacks are a new item now available in the online store for active Paper Pumpkin subscribers. They are super cute and will coordinate with the upcoming November kit which is still a surprise since it hasn’t shipped out yet (thus the reason I only have these peek images).
The bags also coordinate with this past month’s October 2022 Ho Ho Ho Paper Pumpkin kit shown below.
These are two things you can create when you combine the October kit supplies with these North Pole Sacks.

This first one is super simple to put together.
I used a 1″ circle punch (which Stampin’ Up! currently does not have available, so you’ll see it listed separately below in the products section) to punch out the snowflake for the “o”. Then I added it to the backside of the red letter “o”, added a large Evening Evergreen In Color Opal Round, and then attached it along with the “j” and “y” and green and striped strips. All the pieces except for the sack, the punch, and the opal round come from the October kit.
This second idea takes a few more extra supplies and involves a few more steps. But it’s worth it, ’cause it’s a super cute way to give a gift card!

Score horizontally 2-3/8″ from the bottom
Kit card base
3-3/4″ x 5-1/2″ scored parallel to the short side at 2-3/4″

Gold & Vanilla Satin Edged Ribbon

Place the “stencil” from the kit against the folded blue card. Hold securely, then use a Blending Brush to blend on Pool Party ink. Stamp and emboss the sentiment. (I stamped one half of the phrase and embossed it. Then I stamped the second half and embossed it.) Add to the front of the card and embellish with a few Glossy Dots. Fold the base edge of the sack up, crease along the score with a Bone Folder, then wrap & tie with the ribbon. Insert the card and a gift card, and embellish with a few more Glossy Dots.

This time we are highlighting the October 2022Ho Ho HoPaper Pumpkin kit. See what I have to share. Today I am sharing…
Two cards that focus on just the stamps from this kit and very few additional supplies #simplestamping
And the designs of each were influenced by other cards that I’ve received recently. So I’ll share those as well.
The blue card in the background was a swap (also shared October 28th) from fellow demonstrator, Lori Callies. I loved the beauty she created with just inks, stamps, paper and a few pearls.
So I used the same measurements and masking technique…just different colors, stamps, and embellishments.

Parakeet Party Cardstock
5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ scored parallel to the short side at 4-1/4″
Sweet Sorbet Cardstock
3-3/8″ x 4-5/8″
Basic White Cardstock
3-1/4″ x 4-1/2″
4″ x 5-1/4″ (inside layer)
I used large Post-It® Notes that I had in my stash, cut one to 1″ tall, and placed it across the middle of the small white layer. Placing marks on Grid Paper helped me make sure I had straight lines for my masking.
After stamping the snowflakes in Starry Sky (some stamped without reinking for that lighter color), I stamped the stars to fill in the spaces. Can you tell?…I cut my star stamp in two pieces so I could stamp a few single Parakeet Party stars and some pairs of stars in Sweet Sorbet ink. Then I filled in even more gaps by making dots with my Tahitian Tide Marker.
When all that stamping was done, I pulled my sticky note mask away and stamped “merry” in the middle off to the right. I layered this white cardstock onto the Sweet Sorbet piece with Seal Adhesive. Then I added this with Dimensionals onto the folded card base and embellished by adding small rhinestones to the centers of the darkest snowflakes.
On the inside white layer I added more words and one more snowflake with rhinestone.
My second idea came from a birthday card gifted to my son, Nick from my parents. I used the snowflake and star images with the 2021-23 In Color Opal Rounds to embellish the garlands on my card.

Fresh Freesia Cardstock

My 8-1/2″ diameter Corelle® plate and a pencil were the simple tools I needed to lightly draw in my curved garland strands.
I stamped my snowflakes and then drew over the lines with my markers. I erased all my pencil lines, stamped my stars, and then filled in with the Opal Round embellishments.
I stamped my “ho ho ho” and “Tis the season…” sentiments and attached my inside layer. Super simple and super fun!

I just got my October 2022 Ho Ho Ho Paper Pumpkin kit, already had a ton of fun making alternate projects with it, and I’m excited to share them with you today!
This fun kit contained the supplies shown below to make nine Santa-themed Christmas cards.
But I don’t assemble my kits as intended, because I like to show subscribers other ways to use those supplies. I like to think outside the box…see what else I can come up with, and create alternate cards, scrapbook pages and more. So today I’m sharing with you…
Twelve cards that I created from the supplies of three
Yep! I’m sharing with you how you can add extra cardstock and envelopes and QUADRUPLE the number of cards you can get from this kit. So after you learn how to change up one set of supplies, you can do that with the other two sets and get 36 Christmas cards altogether!
