Last month (during preorder time for Stampin’ Up!® demonstrators) I created a bunch of projects with products the Blackberry Beauty Suite, a suite that debuted August 3 in the July-December 2021 Mini Catalog. One of these projects transpired when I looked outside the suite and started playing with the new Tombstone Treat Boxes. And that is the project I’d like to share with you today.
I just showed live on YouTube about an hour ago step-by-step directions for creating this Mini Accordion Photo Album in a Box using the following products: A Good Man Stamp Set, Beauty of Tomorrow Stamp Set, Beautifully Penned Designer Series Paper, Subtle Shimmer Sequins, and Tombstone Treat Boxes. I’m ready to share with you my first set of alternate projects that I made with the July 2021 “The Adventure Begins” Paper Pumpkin monthly subscription kit.
This amazing kit contained the supplies shown below to make twelve fun-fold, outdoor adventure-themed cards.
The cards the kit instructs you how to make are fantastic. But I never assemble my kits as is, because I like to show subscribers other ways to use those supplies. I like to think outside the box…see what else I can come up with, and create alternate cards, scrapbook pages and more.

Welcome to the July 2021 Technique Blog Hop! See what I have to share. This technique is addictive…HIGHLY addictive!! My craft room is starting to fill up with fun samples. I shared a couple finished cards yesterday on YouTube.

During that broadcast I brought out this sheet of vellum with a more earthly, masculine look.
And I put together this card below. The Alcohol Ink technique definitely is a fun background for alcohol drink images. Hahaha!
The swirly and marbled looks are also great for underwater and sky images. But really, the designs that you can create are just perfect alone with just a stamped or die-cut sentiment. Each sheet truly becomes a work of art.

4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″ (start with a larger piece if you wish and trim it down after the ink dries)

Black satin ribbon from the kit

Tips…
Watch my video to get tips for this technique. As you see at the end of the video, I added Wink of Stella here and there on my design to create the gold veins.
After coloring the whiskey with Dark and Light So Saffron Blends, I colored over it with Wink of Stella.
I added the layered center piece with Dimensionals.
And I finished it off with Gilded Gems that I colored with the Dark Mossy Meadow Blends Marker.
This technique is super popular in crafting right now. You can look it up on Pinterest and see all kinds of methods, tools, color combo inspiration, and end results (some creators even going as far as manipulating the ink itself into imagery – flowers, scenery, faces, words, etc.). You CAN invest in a lot of product to get those results. So that why it’s even more exciting for us in this hop to all share how with just a few Stampin’ Up! products that you may already have on hand for your other paper crafting projects you can get such fantastic similar results. Six alternate card ideas (including three fun-fold cards!) – making each of these 3 times doubles the cards in your kit
Today I am sharing a fun spinner card that stretches tall when open.

Measurements…
Balmy Blue Cardstock
4-1/4″ x 11″ scored parallel to the short side at 2-3/4″ and 5-1/2″
2-3/4″ x 4-1/4″
Basic White Cardstock
Scraps for die-cutting circles (for forming clouds)
Garden Green Cardstock
1″ x 4-1/4″
Granny Apple Green Cardstock
1″ x 4-1/4″
Real Red Playful Pets Trim
Two pieces that are 1″ each
Directions…
Die-cut the smaller Balmy Blue piece as shown using the 2-5/8″ and 1-7/8″ diameter Circle Dies. Die-cut white scraps to get multiple circles which will later form clouds. I die-cut one 2-3/8″, two 1-5/8″, two 1-3/8″, and two 1-1/8″ diameter circles.
Stamp sentiments on the two that you’ll want to have as centers of the clouds.
Add Dimensionals to these parts and pieces as shown. Be sure not to have the Dimensionals positioned too close to the circle edges on both cardstock pieces.
Make a coin sandwich by connecting the coins with a Dimensional (keep everything centered as you make the sandwich).
Add them to the bottom fourth of the card base by first adding the outer piece, then the sandwiched coins so the raised cardstock fits inside the coin sandwich, and then the inside circle. (Be sure this is centered as perfectly as you can get it. AND be sure the circle fits inside the coin sandwich on the opposite side.)
Prevent the coin sandwich from escaping by adding the Garden Green strip as shown (about 1/8″ from the bottom edge).
Add the main cloud sentiment circle using Dimensionals when the card is closed so you can see it completely. Keep the Dimensionals in the middle of the circle so you can tuck other circles under and around.
Finish building the clouds with the remaining circles.
Add the ribbon pieces using Glue Dots from the kit.

I got back from Maui on Monday morning, and I’ve been busy creating. I just put together my first set of alternate projects using the May 2021 Batter Up Paper Pumpkin monthly subscription kit! And I’m excited to share them with you today!
This fun kit contained the supplies shown below to make nine cheerful, baseball-themed cards.
But I never assemble my kits as is, because I like to show subscribers other ways to use those supplies. I like to think outside the box…see what else I can come up with, and create alternate cards, scrapbook pages and more. So today I’m sharing with you…

I used the supplies for three kit cards and turned them into six. So technically I doubled the cards in the kit AND got treat bags to boot – 18 cards and 9 treat bags. Woo hoo!
