That Faux Quilt pattern I shared on March 29th has been fun to apply to scenery papers such as this sheet from the retiring Pretty Prints Designer Paper pack. The pack includes 12 sheets of patterned paper: 4 each of 3 double-sided designs. But the 4 of each are in 4 different main colors: Bermuda Bay, Mossy Meadow, Calypso Coral and Blackberry Bliss. So each sheet in the pack is unique.
For today’s cards, my Faux Quilt patterns are from the lowest section of this sheet.
Products I used… See below for a list of products linked to where you can find them in my online store. Items not available until May 2nd are not listed.
Here is the first card where I used the first of the three lower sections of that designer paper.
By the way, all three cards today that I’m sharing require these same measurements.
Measurements
Base Cardstock (Pretty Peacock, Mossy Meadow or Lost Lagoon)
4-1/4” x 11” scored parallel to short end at 5-1/2”
(opt.) scraps for stamping and/or cutting/punching images
Basic White Cardstock
(2) 4” x 5-1/4” – one for the inside layer and one for under the designer paper
(opt.) scraps for stamping and/or cutting/punching images
Once you’ve added all the designer paper layers to your white layer, stamp the sentiment and attach that layer in place. Assemble the card layers. Then add the embellishing pieces. (Use a Bone Folder to curl the petals of the flowers a bit before connecting them together and adding to the card.)
For this first card, the base cardstock (and ink) is Pretty Peacock (available May 2). The jewel in the center is the Calypso Coral large one from the Iridescent Pastel Gems pack.
Here is the second card using the second of the three lower sections of the paper. It’s a slightly different look, but still very peaceful. In fact that’s why I paired these cards with the Through It Together Stamp Set (also retiring soon). The imagery connects well with the sentiments.
For this one, the base cardstock (and ink) is Mossy Meadow. The jewels are the gold ones. And I cut my punched set of leaves into smaller sections to put behind the tiny flowers.
Here is the last card where I used the third of the three lower sections of that sheet of designer paper. For this one, the base cardstock is Lost Lagoon (available May 2). The ink is Blackberry Bliss. The jewels are the Balmy Blue ones. I stamped with the Layering Leaves set (also available May 2) before punching the two sets of leaves. I stamped with the Petal Park set before punching the flower.
And I added that sentiment layer with Dimensionals.
I got these great color combinations from Stampin’ Up!’s Color Combo resource (also call the Color Coach). You can download it from my website under the What’s New drop-down menu.

Oops! I forgot that I was going to share photos of this card that I shared during my March 22 Live. It’s the A4 version of the Faux Dog-Earred Card I had demonstrated that day. I initially got his card layout idea from my friend Silvia Werner. (Thanks Silvia!)
The Bermuda Bay cardstock (the base color) is now sold out because it was one of the Last Chance products. But everything else (as I’m writing this) looks like it’s still in the US online store.
Products I used… See below for a complete list of products linked to where you can find them in my online store.
ImperialMeasurements (for Letter Cardstock)…
Bermuda Bay Cardstock: 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ scored at 4-1/4″ (Fold and then mark in 1-1/2″ from upper left and 1-1/2″ from lower right. Open up card and connect the two marks with a diagonal cut.)
Enjoy the Journey Designer Paper: 3-7/8″ x 5-1/8″ (Mark in 1-1/8″ from upper left and 1-1/8″ from lower right. Connect the two marks with a diagonal cut.)
Basic White Cardstock: 4-1/16″ x 5-5/16″ – 2 pieces (Mark in 1-5/16″ from upper left and 1-5/16″ from lower right. Connect the two marks with a diagonal cut. Repeat with second one for the inside layer.)
MetricMeasurements (for A4 Cardstock)…
Bermuda Bay Cardstock: 14.8 cm x 21 cm scored at 10.5 cm (Fold and then mark in 4 cm from upper left and 4 cm from lower right. Open up card and connect the two marks with a diagonal cut.)
Enjoy the Journey Designer Paper: 9.5 cm x 13.8 cm (Mark in 3 cm from upper left and 3 cm from lower right. Connect the two marks with a diagonal cut.)
Basic White Cardstock: 10 cm x 14.3 cm – 2 pieces (Mark in 2 cm from upper left and 2 cm from lower right. Connect the two marks with a diagonal cut. Repeat with second one for the inside layer.)
Be sure to watch my video from March 22, 2023 (starting around the 33-1/2 minute mark) to get the basic instructions for preparing and assembling the layers. This is a pretty straight-forward and simple card once the assembly of the layers is completed. Then just stamp a strip of Basic White cardstock (1/2″ x 3-1/4″ or 1/3 cm x 8.3 cm) with the sentiment & adhere, stamp the inside sentiment, stamp the fireflies, add Wink of Stella to their abdomens, and add the pink dots.
A big thank you again to Silvia Werner for the inspiration for this card layout!
Yay! Boxes of the 2023-24 Annual Catalogs arrived late Monday…

I was looking at the products that are retiring and just had to share a set of outgoing specialty papers that I love so much: the 2022-24 In Color Glimmer Paper. I highly recommend grabbing this up if you don’t have it in your stash yet.
I shared this set of glimmer papers a couple times over the past year by using it in small amounts (on May 4, 2022 for the bird wings and on June 22, 2022 for the fish and the sentiment layer). But the cards I am presenting today really show off a reason to own it. In fact if you’ve followed my blog posts for awhile, this look may be familiar. Here it is with totally different products back on February 27, 2021.
I just demonstrated live on YouTube and on Facebook about an hour ago step-by-step directions for a putting together a simple yet stunning starburst pattern background that looks amazing with the ombré pattern in these 2024-26 In Color Glimmer Papers. The two cards also feature the retiring Conversation Bubbles Stamp Set & Dies. And now I’m sharing that video here in my blog post. Be sure to watch the video by clicking here (or you can just click on this image below if you are already on my blog post), scroll through the close-up photos that follow, check out the measurements & products list below, and then let me know if you have any questions.
I hope you also enjoyed getting some peeks at new products that will debut from the upcoming 2023-24 Annual Catalog which debuts May 2nd.

I’m hoping you are all having a wonderful weekend and a Happy Easter.
I’ve been playing with the Bough Punch a lot lately. I’ve also been cleaning my craft area. And I came across some boxes I had made and shared last year on April 13, 2022. Both of the critters’ bodies on the boxes are made with the Ladybug Builder Punch. The bunny’s ears and tail are also made with the Bough Punch.
And so with Spring in the air and these punches in hand, I made another bunny and added it to the front of this green card to create a Congrats card geared for someone expecting or someone who has just had a baby.
I had a lot of green on the card base layers already. And when I added the bunny, the leaves under it blended in too much. So I punched black leaves and gave them all a shadow layer.
Here are the details for recreating this card.
Products I used… See below for a complete list of products linked to where you can find them in my online store.
Measurements
Basic White Thick Cardstock
4-1/4” x 11″ scored parallel to short side at 5-1/2”
4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″ (for die-cutting the Flora layer)
Scraps for punching the bunny parts
3/4″ x 3-1/4″ strip for punching the sentiment layer
Parakeet Party Cardstock
3-7/8” x 5-1/8”
Garden Green Cardstock
3-3/4” x 5”
Granny Apple Green Cardstock
Scraps for punching the leaves
Basic Black Cardstock
Scraps for punching the leaves
Tips/Directions
Watch the video in my 4/13/22 blog post (starting at the 8.5 minute mark) for instructions for punching and assembling all the parts to form your bunnies (one for the inside and one for the outside). After assembling that bunnies, add the green leaves & one more layer of black leaves for the shadow to one of the bunnies. Set aside.
Die-cut the 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″ white layer with the large die from the Two-Tone Flora Dies. Use large or small Blending Brushes to add color to the layer…Parakeet Party in the bottom right section, then Granny Apple Green further out, then Garden Green going light to dark. (You can swap these steps if you’d rather – blend the ink on the cardstock and then die-cut.)
Glue this to the Garden Green Cardstock layer. (I sponged it on with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.) Then trim up the overhanging sections.
Punch the ends of the sentiment strip piece. Stamp it so the word is off to the right a bit.
Assemble: Add the Parakeet Party Cardstock, add the Garden Green layer, add the bunny with the leaves and the sentiment strip with Dimensionals, and add the silver flower embellishments.
Open the card and add the other bunny with Glue Dots (so it has a small amount of dimension) and a few flowers.

#APaperPumpkinThing Welcome to our monthly APPT blog hop to showcase Paper Pumpkin kit alternate projects! This time we are highlighting the March 2023 Ten Years of GrowthPaper Pumpkin kit. See what I have to share. Then check out all the other blogs in the hop for additional creative ideas from my fellow Stampin’ Up! demonstrator friends. To follow the hop and see these other creative project ideas, simply scroll down and click on the names of the other hop participants. (If you are receiving this blog post by email, click HERE to see that hop list.)
Here are the cards the kit instructs how to make. (Click here for a link to Stampin’ Up!’s how-to video to help you assemble these as intended.)
I’ve already shared some other alternate projects using the contents of this kit on March 22nd.
Two fun fold cards (a Faux Dog-Eared card and a Tucked Gate Fold card)
And a 12×12 scrapbook page layout
Plus I copied one of the samples on the back of the kit’s direction pamphlet and shared it in my video that day. (It’s much more stunning in the video than on the back of the direction pamphlet.)
Today I am sharing…
A “Happy Spring” home decor banner
It’s been awhile since I’ve made a banner. But I had so much fun with this that I’m hooked!
I used one of each of the kit card bases. I cut them each in half. Then I cut them each in half again – except the two more decorated card front pieces – to get 10 panels. The two larger ones are on the ends of the banner to frame it.
I used a lot of gold trim…4 feet for the main strand that runs through the “loops” on the back of each piece & eleven 3″ pieces to create the knots between each panel. (The “loops” are from the envelope paper.)
Since I didn’t need to mail these pieces as cards anymore, I used the three extra envelopes for die-cutting the S P R I N and G letters, creating some 3/4″-wide mini banners for the top of the “happy” panel, and for making the “loops” on the back of each panel.
They aren’t really loops. I guess they are just folded pieces of paper. But the gold trim runs through them.
Each “loop” is the same width as the panel it’s behind. And they are all 2″ in the other direction folded in half and glued shut just at the ends. Once that’s done, glue the “loop” to the upper back side of the panel.
When you die-cut the letters, alternate them so the colors within the letters will vary. This is how I set them up. After cutting the letters from the envelope flap, cut them from Foam Adhesive Sheets and connect them. OR…better yet. Add the Foam Adhesive to the back of the envelope flap and cut all at once. Hahaha! Wish I would’ve done this. But I didn’t know I was going to raise them up and give them more dimension until after I had already cut them from the envelope flap alone.
I put thin Dimensional pieces behind parts of the gold happy to raise it and give it a bit of shadow. The plant pots on the two outer panels are also added with Dimensionals. I used Multipurpose Liquid Glue to add all the foliage.
The panels with the letters are decorated with gold 1/8″ wide strips cut from the kit scraps that are placed about 1″ from the bottom edges, the letters (of course), leaves (the purple ons from the kit and some punched from the envelope flaps with the Bough Punch), and some Brushed Brass Butterflies.
I couldn’t keep the banner on the kitchen cupboards and moved it down to my office for now. But I’ll find it a home soon. It makes me happy when I look at it!
I hope I inspired your creativity with what I shared today! If you did not get this kit, I hope you can apply these ideas to products you already own.
If you are not a Paper Pumpkin subscriber, I invite you to give it a try. CLICK HERE to learn more. CLICK HERE to sign up by April 10th for this next kit…

I haven’t done a “One Sheet Wonder” in quite some time. And with the anticipation (and now the confirmation) that the designer paper in this suite would be retiring, I created One Sheet Wonder cards with designer papers AND without.
A One Sheet Wonder is basically a way of cutting a sheet of paper/cardstock (with images) in a way where ALL the pieces become layers to decorate and create multiple coordinating cards. I came up with a pattern for cutting 6×6 paper (the size of the Regency Park Designer Paper sheets) so that the pieces cut create layers for and decorate three different but coordinating cards. And because I was worried that the designer paper pack might sell out soon (or even before I shared in this blog post), I used some stamp images in this suite and made my own 6×6 designer papers to show you my first set of cards.
On the left is an example of stamped patterned paper you could create with stamp images (the one I picked for my finished cards is a bit different) and on the right is how you would cut it (or how you would cut any 6×6 patterned paper) when creating the following card layouts…
I have two other sets of cards to show you that I made with the Regency Park Designer Paper sheets. But let me first walk you through this set of three cards. You can then apply the directions and tips to recreate the other sets or different sets that you want to make with other paper patterns.
Products I used… a complete list of products I used is shown below, and everything is linked to where you can find them in my online store.
Measurements (and tips for cutting)…
Basic White Cardstock (or a sheet of Regency Park Designer Paper)
(3) 4-1/8″ x 5-3/8″ for the inside layers
(3) 2″ x 3-1/4″ for die-cutting sentiment layers
Start with a 6″ x 6″ sheet
Cut off 1-1/4″ from one side and then cut that piece in half to form two 1-1/4″ x 3″ pieces
Rotate the main piece a quarter turn and trim off 2″ to form a 2″ x 4-3/4″ piece
Then rotate the main piece one more time and trim off two 1″ strips to form two 1″ x 4″ pieces and one 2-3/4″ x 4″ piece
Pool Party Cardstock for the card bases
(2) 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ scored parallel to the short side at 4-1/4″
(1) 4-1/4″ x 11″ scored parallel to the short side at 5-1/2″
Pretty Peacock Cardstock
1-7/8″ x 2-5/8″
2-1/8″ x 4-7/8″
2-7/8″ x 4-1/8″
Blackberry Bliss Cardtock
Scraps for die-cutting flowers
Fresh Freesia
Scraps for die-cutting flowers
Directions…
Create your 6×6 patterned paper: Stamp the outline floral images first, then stamp the inside solid images within. I used Blackberry Bliss and Pretty Peacock for my darker colors and had to keep cleaning my outline image stamp and switching colors as I filled in images across the paper. After the outline images were added and everything was spaced well, I stamped all the Fresh Freesia centers first then the Pool Party centers. I added the silver dots after cutting.
Cut the patterned paper using the directions above. Prepare the remaining pieces. Die-cut the flowers, die-cut the sentiment layers, and stamp the sentiments.
Optional…Add super tiny drops of Multipurpose Liquid Glue to fill in the white space of the patterned paper. Sprinkle on silver embossing powder and tap off the excess. Then heat to create the shiny silver dots. The dots of glue have to be almost microscopic. Hahaha! Seriously don’t make them too big, or you’ll have problems when you try to heat emboss.
Stamp and add the inside white layers. Add the patterned paper and Pretty Peacock layers to the outside front. Add the sentiment layers with Dimensionals. Then add the flowers with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
Finally add small rhinestones in or around the die-cut flowers.
I hope you enjoyed those ideas! Now to make it even easier, use pre-printed designer paper. On these two other sets I used paper from the Regency Park pack. Remember…one sheet can accent 3 cards. So one pack can make 144 cards if you really want to go that far.
If you want to recreate these cards below, be sure to grab up the Regency Park paper pack before it retires. You’ll also want to invest in any coordinating colors. Oh! And I used the retiring Mango Melody cardstock for the accent flowers. Refer to the retiring products lists to see what is leaving. And then check out the online store to see if the products you want are still available.
Here are the 3 patterns (from each set) photographed separately.
If you want more One Sheet Wonder patterns for creating cards, check out my team member, Mackenzie Grimme’s site, Mackenzie Makes. She shares One Sheet Wonder patterns these quite often and has wonderful ideas!
