Part of that presentation focused on card sketches. We shared how most of them can be seen on p. 22, but that there are a few others hidden gems here and there. On p. 103 you can find the “hidden gem” sketch that inspired today’s and Saturday’s creations. These pages show that sketches are meant to be “starting points” and that you don’t have to use card sketches just to inspire card creations, right?
I used the Sweet Peas Stamp Set, circles from two sets of dies and a punch, and the pretty Flowering Zinnias Designer Paper to create this page. And just like the page that I shared on Saturday, I have horizontal strips with a large circle focal point and sentiment strip off on the left (closely in alignment with the card sketch on p. 103).

Scraps for stamping and fussy-cutting the extra leaves
Scrap for die-cutting 3-1/4″ diameter circle
Scrap for die-cutting 1-5/8″ diameter stitched circle
Crumb Cake Cardstock (from the Neutrals 12×12 pack)
11-3/4″ x 11-3/4″
Flowering Zinnias Designer Paper
Three different 1/2″ x 11-3/4″ strips
Blackberry Bliss Cardstock
Four pieces cut to 4” x 5-3/8”
Scrap for punching 1-3/4″ diameter circle
3/4″ x 3″ strip for sentiment
Highland Heather Cardstock
Four pieces cut to 3-7/8” x 5-1/4”
Directions
Die-cut the Basic White circles. Punch the Blackberry Bliss circle.
Stamp the Sweet Pea image with Garden Green ink on the 1-5/8″ diameter stitched circle. Using this circle as a guide, stamp the leaves where they look best on the larger die-cut white circle. Stamp even more leaves on the white scraps. Then color them all in with the Blends Markers.
Layer and adhere the circles to create the focal point image. Fussy-cut out the remaining leaves.
Position the Blackberry Bliss photo mat layers, designer paper strips, and leaves on the 11-3/4″ x 11-3/4″ layer. When everything looks balanced and lined up, take one piece at a time and secure it with adhesive. Trim off any excess branch pieces, then add this whole layer to the 12″ x 12″ Basic White layer using Dimensionals.
Stamp (with VersaMark ink) and heat emboss (with white embossing powder) the ‘Welcome Sweet Pea’ sentiment. Add the die-cut circle using Dimensionals. But be sure that the adhesive does not connect to the photo area and also allows room for the sentiment strip.
Slide in and adhere the sentiment strip in place.
Embellish here and there with Transparent Adhesive-Backed Dots.
Then add the Highland Heather photo mats and/or photos to finish off the page.

I’m a math girl. I LOVE figuring out ways to make the most of our great Stampin’ Up! patterned papers. And today I have another set of measurements you may want to try out with your 6×6 sheets of scenic patterned paper for some quick and easy cards. These cards are not fun fold cards. The bases are basic 1/2 sheets of cardstock folded in half. But the cuts from the scenic 6×6 patterned paper allow you to create two completed cards from one sheet. I hope you like what I’ve come up with!
I’m featuring the Lily Pond Lane 6×6 Designer Paper and using 4 of the sheets to make 8 cards. Here are the base measurements you will need for each card. Additional more precise measurements for the front designer paper layers are below under the photos of each card.
Measurements…
Basic White Cardstock
3″ x 4-1/4”
3/4″ x 5-1/4″
Pretty Peacock Cardstock
5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ scored parallel to short side at 4-1/4”
Designer Paper
Two front pieces 5-1/4” wide that together are 3″ tall (The cuts are different on each card…see specific measurements for these two pieces under the photos.)
Two inside pieces that are 3/8″x 3″

Here is the first sheet of paper and how I cut it for my first two cards. Even though with this sheet you could cut horizontally through the middle first at 3″, you will want to instead cut your 4 smallest pieces first. Cutting vertically first will prevent you from making mistakes on the other sheets.
Trim off 3/8″ in from the left edge. Repeat. And then cut those two strips in half at 3″ to get four 3/4″ x 3″ vertical strips.
Position your paper in the trimmer so you are cutting in from the top. Then cut in at 2-1/4″ to get the first horizontal piece. Cut at 3/4″ to get the next one, Cut at 2″ for the next. And you should end up with a 1″ tall piece for the last one.
Those pieces above along with the stamped Basic White pieces, the Pretty Peacock card base, and the Adhesive-backed Dappled Dots will give you these two cards.

For all cards add the two front patterned papers first about 1/8″ from the outer edges. Then add the stamped white strip in-between to get good spacing. For the inside, add the middle white panel first with very little adhesive so it’s centered but removable, Then add the two vertical strips so they are each about 1/8″ from the outer edges. Add more adhesive to the stamped white center piece to add it again permanently so it’s centered well.
We had our huge garage sale (our massive paper crafting supplies sale) this week on Wednesday and Thursday. Here are a few photos I remembered to take from this annual event.
It was fun to see shoppers (many familiar faces, too!) ready and waiting at 7 AM.
This year we had TWO tents for shade and fantastic weather which made the two days even more amazing.
Shoppers saved big, we earned, and everyone had a great time!
One shopper was quite memorable to us. We are hoping she’ll come back next year too! Wink wink.

We are busy preparing for Nick’s graduation party that will be held here on June 9th. He’s super excited and ready to move onto college to focus on Exercise Science, but will be enjoying a well-deserved summer off first. His last day of school is Friday, and the graduation ceremony is Monday evening.
In addition to party prepping, I’m creating many personalized graduation cards for the other kids we know that are also graduating this year. This fun fold card I’m sharing today is pretty popular. In fact, I found several versions of it out there on the internet. So I tweaked it a bit to make it large enough to hold a gift card upright AND large enough to fill our standard Basic White envelopes.
I just showed live on YouTube and on Facebook about an hour ago step-by-step directions for creating these Grad Cap Fold Cards with Pockets using the the Wonderful Thoughts Stamp Set and other fabulous products from Stampin’ Up! I also shared measurements of other basic variations. And now I’m sharing that video here in my blog post. As this blog post is releasing, I’m at the airport with my oldest son Nicholas getting ready to board our plane to Mexico. But prerecorded an instructional video for how to double the cards you can get from the By Your Side Kits Collection Card Kit. And I’m sharing that with you today.
By Your Side was released into in the Kits Collection in early April. If you are a pet lover, you will ADORE this one! There are extra doggie and kitty die-cut images – 8 of each. So if you complete kit cards as intended you can make 8 cards AND still have 8 more animal images left over. It’s the perfect kit for creating and going beyond. And so I did that with just the addition of just some Basic Black Cardstock, an additional ink color, and envelopes. Instead of making just 8 cards, I made 16.
I thought it would be more fun to explain how to put these cards together in video format. So today I have for you another bonus Online Paper Crafting Class.

So yes, Nick and I are at the airport heading to Mexico to get pampered on the incentive trip* I earned through Stampin’ Up! We will be at the Xcaret all-inclusive resort April 27-May 4 in the Playa Del Carmen area. I’m taking him as my guest this time because he’s a high school senior this year! My goodness time flies. We are really looking forward to being pampered and spoiled, trying fun foods, relaxing by the pool and ocean, zip-lining in the rainforest, swimming through caves, and more! I promise to take photos and share about our adventures when I get back.

Have you seen the adorable Frog & Friends Kits Collection Kit? It’s a kit that creates three different classic cup-and-ball games – two of each, and it was developed with kids in mind. Well, the characters are stinkin’ adorable. So I had to get it to see if I could turn the supplies into cards. And I’m proud to say I did just that.
I just showed live on YouTube and on Facebook about an hour ago step-by-step directions for creating pocket cards with this Frog & Friends Kits Collection Kit, a bit of extra cardstock, some envelopes, and other coordinating Stampin’ Up!® tools and supplies. And now I’m sharing that video here in my blog post. Measurements of extra cardstock per card…
Basic White Cardstock
2-1/2” x 3-1/4”
Scrap for punching 3/8” circle (for shark and fish cards)
Basic Black Cardstock
2-5/8” x 3-3/8”
Scrap for punching 1/4” circle (for shark and fish cards)
Here are photos of the finished cards. This frog one was the easiest to make and worked well with the folds that were already in the frog body.
The shark card was also fairly easy to make, but required an adjustment with the tail and the back eye.
The fancy fish one probably needed the most adjustments. The tail is a bit shorter to fit the envelope, too. But I think it still looks pretty darn cute.

I’m still in Houston at Stampin’ Up!’s OnStage convention, but prerecorded an instructional video for how to more than double the cards you can get from the Panda Friends card kit. It’s such a fun kit with bright colors and playful images!
Panda Friends made it’s debut in the Kits Collection in early January. It’s a non-stamping kit, so it doesn’t come with stamps and ink…just consumables. So already at $14 US it’s quite affordable to purchase more than one if have the desire to make several cards with it. But I thought, why not change up the designs a bit to share options. And all of a sudden with just the addition of some Basic Black Cardstock, ribbon, envelopes and extra sentiments from outside stamp set images, I came up with designs that shifted this kit of 8 cards to a kit of 20 cards.
I thought it would be more fun to explain how to put these cards together in video format. So today I have for you a bonus Online Paper Crafting Class.

Measurements for the extra supplies needed to make 20 cards…
Basic Black Cardstock
(8) 4-1/4” x 11″ scored parallel to the short side at 2-3/4″ and 5-1/2”
(8) 5-1/2” x 8” scored parallel to the short side in at 4-1/4”
(4) 5-1/2” x 5-1/4” scored parallel to the long side at 4-1/4”
Black & White 1/4″ Gingham Ribbon
(8) 14″
(8) 5-1/2″
(4) 16″ for knots or 21″ for tying bows
Here are photos of my finished cards. Remember in the video I share how to change the supplies from the two different “kit cards” into five. Then doing this with the other three sets of “kit cards,” you will end up with 20. So you won’t see all 20 below…just the variations AND some options if you decide to change things up.
These are the easel cards. You can get these two designs. from cutting up the 8-1/2″ wide slimline card into four pieces.
This is the card that shows off both sides of the pretty paper layer.
Remember you can flip over that inner panel to have a green layer or a polka-dot blue layer.
And these are the other two of the five designs.
The green layers can be wider or narrower.
And the stamp set I used for the additional images (Perennial Postage) has many sentiments that will work with the different layouts of these cards. This is just an example of the ones that fit into this hexagonal window of the pink cards.
If you run out of that gingham ribbon, you can use other. I grabbed up my Silver & White Sheer Ribbon for the remainder of my cards.
Because I DID end up creating all 20 cards after recording my video.
