If you are new to paper crafting with Stampin’ Up! products, there is an acronym that many of us use…DSP. It stands for Designer Series Paper. Just wanted to share that with you in case you had seen it and were curious.
My favorite DSP is currently Expressions in Ink. The colors are amazing, and the designs are trendy and feature the alcohol ink art technique you may have seen out there. One side of the sheets include gold foiling. So of course it is so much more stunning in person. But hopefully these photos will do it a bit of justice.
I’ve share lots of projects already featuring this paper on May 12, May 14, May 31, June 11, June 18, July 7, August 6, and August 30. But I have to share it AGAIN. Hahaha! Here is my latest card featuring my favorite of all the papers in this pack. Yes, I finally cut it up and used that deep and dreamy green sheet.
And here is the information you’ll need if you wish to recreate what I made.
Products I used… See below for a complete list of products linked to where you can find them in my online store.
Measurements for one card…
Basic White Thick Cardstock
5-1/2” x 7-1/2” scored parallel to short side at 4-1/4”
Shaded Spruce Cardstock
2-1/8″ x 5-1/2″
Early Espresso Cardstock
Scrap for die-cutting pinecone piece
Soft Suede Cardstock
Scrap for die-cutting pinecone piece
Gold Foil Paper
Scraps for die-cutting pine branch pieces
Expessions in Ink Designer Paper
2-5/8″ x 5-1/4″
Directions
Die-cut the pine cones and branch pieces. Trim the branch piece so you just have what you need. (The rest of it can be used for additional cards. OR you can just die-cut the portion you want to use for one card in the first place.) You’ll need a bit of the branches for the outside AND the inside.
Add the designer paper with just a tiny bit of adhesive (so you can remove it if you mess up) to the front 3-1/4″ wide section of the Basic White card base. Then stamp the vertical sentiment. If you mess up, you can always use that designer paper on another card base. I suggest practicing your stamping first on scrap paper. I mass-produced my set of cards. So I used the Stamparatus tool. That way all my stamp images landed in the same place on all 40 of my cards.
Stamp the inside sentiment.
Once you’ve stamped the vertical Happy Birthday and the inside sentiment, add the designer paper layer with more adhesive making sure to tuck in a gold branch piece before pressing all the way down.
Assemble your pinecone/s using Multipurpose Liquid Glue and then add to the front with Dimensionals.
Emboss the Shaded Spruce cardstock. Add to the inside of the card on the right making sure to tuck in that second gold branch piece before pressing all the way down.
Ta-da!! Here are a few different versions…different designer paper pieces, different branch pieces, and different pinecone configurations.
Thanks for stopping by to see what I had to share today.

Remember the cards I shared on Wednesday with the 4-panel layout using the Blackberry Beauty Designer Paper? I hope you enjoyed those. Here is the Halloween version of that layout that I shared towards the end of that video. Isn’t that cat image hilarious!?
Here are details if you wish to recreate this one.
Products I used… See below for a complete list of products linked to where you can find them in my online store.
Measurements…
Basic Black Cardstock
4-1/4” x 11” scored parallel to the short side at 5-1/2”
Cute Halloween Designer Paper pattern #1
Two pieces that are 1” x 3”
Cute Halloween Designer Paper pattern #2
Two pieces that are 1” x 3”
Basic White Cardstock
4” x 5-1/4”
Scrap for punching
Scrap for stamping and fussy-cutting two image parts of the cat
Smoky Slate Cardstock
Scrap for stamping and punching cat
Old Olive Cardstock/Paper
Scrap for punching tree border
Gray Granite Shimmer Ribbon
12″
Directions…
Stamp the cat on a scrap of Gray Granite. Then Punch. Stamp it again twice onto scraps of Basic White. Fussy-cut the cat head and box from one and just the box from the other. Glue the cat head and box to the top of the main cat image on the Gray Granite piece. Then glue the box onto that.
Punch a Basic White label. Cut it in half horizontally. Attach the top piece so it peeks out the top of the Gray Granite punched piece. Then attach the bottom piece so it peeks out the bottom.
Add the designer paper strips to the bottom front of the Basic Black card base. Add a punched out row of trees above that. Then wrap and adhere ribbon. (On mine I actually did the ribbon first and then added a couple sections of trees tucked in.)
Add the layered punched cat piece with Dimensionals. (Make sure the straight side edges of this punched piece are parallel to the side edges of the paper strips and card edges.)
Stamp the sentiments and cat head image to the 4″ x 5-1/4″ Basic White piece and attach to the inside of the card.
Finish off the card by adding a few stars.
That’s it. I bet the other cat image from that stamp set (or the pumpkin!) would look great on this card, too.

For many of my recent demonstrator team gatherings, I’ve been posting a card sketch challenge. Basically I share a card layout idea in the emailed invitation as an inspiration for everyone to use their own products to create a card to share during that upcoming event.
We just had one of these team gatherings this past Monday. This is the card sketch I had posted in the invite. (I found it on Pinterest, but I do not know the original source. So sorry.)
It was so fun to see the cards that were created and shared by others! And with the help of the sentiments in the limited-time In Your Words Stamp Set, I made three “fantabulistic” cards with this 4-Panel layout!
I just showed live on YouTube about an hour ago step-by-step directions for creating them using that set along with the Blackberry Beauty Designer Paper, the Cork Specialty Paper, dies and punches, some Gilded Leafing, and the ¼” Gold Shimmer Ribbon. And now I’m sharing that video here in my blog post. Be sure to watch the video by clicking here (or you can just click on this image below if you are already on my blog post), scroll through the close-up photos that follow, check out the measurements & products list below, and then let me know if you have any questions.
I hope you enjoyed what I shared in this video. Below are measurements, close-up photos, and a product list for what I demonstrated. (Please subscribe to my YouTube channel so you can get updates when I share and go live).

I was thumbing through the beautiful Peaceful Place Designer Paper admiring how pretty and wintery it was. And of course being the designer paper-obsessed person that I am I wanted to create with it. But I wasn’t quite in the mood for winter and I’m already wishing for more Summer as we begin the chillier Autumn season.
So one morning while enjoying my favorite breakfast (protein crepe with berries), I decided to pull out my Sweet Strawberry Stamp Set and create a summer strawberry card with the buffalo plaid pattern from this Peaceful Place pack of paper to show it’s versatility. And this is what I finally came up with. (As you read on, you’ll see why I say “finally.”)
Products I used… See below for a complete list of products linked to where you can find them in my online store.
Measurements
Night of Navy Cardstock
5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ scored parallel to short side at 4-1/4″
Real Red Cardstock
4″ x 5-1/4″
2-3/4″ x 4-1/8″
Basic White Cardstock
3-7/8″ x 5-1/8″
2″ x 4″
Scraps for die-cutting flowers and leaves
Scraps for stamping and punching strawberries and stems/leaves
3/4″ x 2-1/4″
Peaceful Place Designer Paper
3-3/4″ x 5″
3/4″ x 4″
Directions
Create the strawberries. Stamp the two with full color. Stamp one with lighter color. (Stamp off onto scrap paper, then stamp without reinking onto the Basic White cardstock to get lighter shades of Poppy Parade or Granny Apple Green.) Punch, assemble, and set aside.
Die-cut the blossoms and leaves and set aside.
Punch the end of the small white strip and stamp the sentiment towards the right.
Color some Rhinestones with the dark Daffodil Delight Blends Marker.
After cutting and preparing all the pieces, assemble the card. My recommendation is to connect the two front strawberries first (the top one is on Dimensionals) so the stems meet at the top. Add these to the front of the card centered between the top and bottom edges of the designer paper and off to the left about an inch from the left edge. Tuck and attach the sentiment banner. Then adhere all the white die-cut flowers and leaves. (The Take Your Pick Tool and Multipurpose Liquid Glue will help here.)
After assembling all the pieces of the card, finish by attaching those large, medium, and small colored Rhinestones.
I actually had completed this card with a retired floral die-cut from the Ornate Borders Dies first. But I wasn’t as happy with it.
Then I tried out a couple other versions and surveyed those in my Facebook Group.
Most voted for the yellow, but loved the sparkle of the gems in the pink. So I went with this look and changing a few other areas of the card.
But then after finishing and photographing this version, it dawned on me that the Ornate Borders Dies are no longer available. Oops! So for those of you who DO have them and those of you who want to see the variations and what I played around with before I finalized my card, I thought I’d share these photos too.

One of my favorite sets of papers right now as we enter the fall season here in North America is Blackberry Beauty which debuted early August.
And THIS particular sheet from the 12×12 designer paper pack can be easily cut to make six 4″ x 5-1/4″ card front layers which is what I did in the cards I’m featuring today.
I didn’t want to use the warm purplish hues of either Blackberry Bliss or Rich Razzleberry (two colors that are featured in the designer paper pack) in my card, so I started searching. And I was really excited when I put this sheet next to the color, Pool Party. It’s even better in person and looks almost mesmerizing especially with the reflective sparkles of gold from the paper and gems AND the shimmer from the ribbons.
If you’d like to recreate this card (or make a set of 12 like I did!), use the measurements and follow the directions below. You can even print off a 1-page PDF tutorial.
PDF Tutorial…Click here to access and download a printable direction sheet.
Products I used… See below for a complete list of products linked to where you can find them in my online store.
Measurements:
Early Espresso Cardstock: 4-1/4” x 11” scored parallel to short side at 5-1/2”
Pool Party Cardstock: 3-7/8″ x 5-1/8” & 3/4” x 4”
Burmuda Bay Cardstock: 4” x 5-1/4” & 4-1/8” x 5-3/8”
Blackberry Beauty Designer Paper: 4” x 5-1/4” & 3/4” x 4”
Pool Party Sheer Ribbon: 4-1/2”
3/8” Gold Shimmer Ribbon: 4”
Directions:
Punch Pool Party Cardstock strip and stamp sentiment towards the right. Angle cut ends of ribbons. Attach cardstock strip to ribbons so ribbons angle down to the right a bit. Stamp speckle image a few times onto designer paper layer. Add sentiment banner with Dimensionals and trim left edge of strip/ribbons to be flush with designer paper edge.
Add all of this to the larger Bermuda Bay layer & then add to card front. Add a large and small Blue Gem.
Stamp the inside sentiment onto the Pool Party layer. Layer the designer paper strip onto the bottom of the Pool Party layer then onto the smaller Bermuda Bay layer. Add this onto the inside of the card.
Again, I’m just totally amazed at how the Pool Party blue color vibrates next to the warm light purplish-brown tones of the paper.
I loved this design so much that I made 12 of these cards which you can get from the two sheets in a full pack. When the sheets are cut up, you will have four each of three separate floral scenes. In the photo below you can see what I did with the sentiment strip for each of the three separate scenes.
