I have a passion for challenging myself to multiply the projects one can get from one of our Stampin’ Up! crafting kits. I’ve done this with the Paper Pumpkin kits often. (In fact, tune in this Friday so you can see how I quadruple the cards in the October 2022 Ho Ho Ho kit.) But Stampin’ Up! also has another line of kits…the Kits Collection. And I had a bunch of fun with one of the newest in this line: the Christmas Gifting Kit.
I just showed live on YouTube and on Facebook about an hour ago step-by-step directions for how to take the supplies in this kit, add a bit of cardstock and twine, and double the 9 tags to create 18 cards with pockets. And now I’m sharing that video here in my blog post. One of the newer kits in the Kits Collection by Stampin’ Up! is the Cozy & Bright kit which features enough supplies to make 12 festive holiday cards with classic pine, cinnamon, and orange designs. I couldn’t help myself… In a goal to stretch the kit to make even more cards I was able to triple the cards from the kit with these sets of designs. If you want to do the same, you could pick one of these three sets or make ALL of them. Each set of three is made from one card and one envelope from the kit. So all together I got these nine cards from three kit cards.

Soft Sea Foam Cardstock

Cut to 3-1/4″ x 4-1/2″
Kit card
Cut card in half down the middle, then cut the design and the back at 2-3/4″ to get 4 equal size pieces. Cut each of those to 4-1/8″ wide paying attention to where the cuts are going on the designs.

Tips…
Add one 2-3/4″ x 4-1/8″ solid green piece and one 2-3/4″ x 4-1/8″ printed design piece to each card. But tear a long edge of the solid one before attaching.
Punch a row of trees and then trim up what you need. If your sentiment is longer, you may want more than just 3 trees.
You can use the kit scraps from the punched out pieces, left over envelope scraps, or even Basic White cardstock to make the 5/8″ tall sentiment strips. I stamped those, trimmed them at an angle, and added them with Dimensionals.
Wrap the cinnamon sticks with Linen Thread. Add the orange, and then add the sticks with Dimensionals.
For the third card stamp the sentiment, then add the printed envelope piece with Dimensionals.
Stamp the insides of the cards if you wish.

Tips…
You can use the kit scraps from the punched out pieces, left over envelope scraps, or even Basic White cardstock to make the 5/8″ or 3/4″ tall sentiment strips.
Add the solid green piece to a white card base. Then add a stamped sentiment strip.
Layer the punched leaves behind the small orange. Wrap the cinnamon sticks with Linen Thread. Add the orange, and add the sticks with Dimensionals. Then add one more star anise tucked into the left corner.
For the second card add the printed green piece to a white card base. Add the large orange and star anise. Then add a stamped sentiment strip with Dimensionals.
For the third card stamp the sentiment, attach this envelope piece to the gold strips, then add the printed envelope layered piece to the front.
Stamp the insides of the cards if you wish.

Add the large orange to the larger printed base, and trim off the excess for the second card. After folding the z-fold base, add the printed pieces. Wrap the cinnamon sticks with Linen Thread and attach with Dimensionals. Stamp the inside sentiment.
For the second card layer the punched leaves behind the small orange. Add the leftover orange section and the smaller orange to a solid green layer.
You can use the kit scraps from the punched out pieces, left over envelope scraps, or even Basic White cardstock to make the 5/8″ tall sentiment strip. Add it with a Dimensional. Then add a large star anise with a Dimensional and small star anise.
For the third card stamp the sentiment, then add the printed envelope piece to the other solid green layer. Add it to the card with Dimensionals.
Stamp the insides of the cards if you wish.

I needed eighteen cards to send to my club members this month. So I split up the supplies in the A Million Thanks Kit from the Kits Collection,…
…added in Basic White Cardstock and Rhinestones, and took those supplies for nine cards and doubled them.

Here are the cards I created.
They are pretty similar to the intended kit cards, right?
But by just cutting the kit card bases into two 4″ x 5-1/4″ pieces, creating a few extra sentiment labels (punching each end of the 2-1/16″ x 3-1/4″ white strips with the Label Me Lovely Punch), and making the design of the cards a bit simpler/less layered, you can really extend this kit and get so much more for the money. Here are photos of each of the 6 designs a bit closer up.
Yay! I had fun with this kit. The sentiments in the stamp set are beautiful, and the embossed papers and rich colors are so pleasing to the eye. I hope you enjoyed what I shared.

I love that Stampin’ Up! made a kit aimed towards younger crafters. The Robot Buddies Kids Card Kit is one of several kits from the Kits Collection. Kits build creativity, offer quick crafting for when you need that last minute card, store easily, are all-inclusive, make great gifts, are fun to do with others, etc… I’m a fan.
Here are the cards this Robot Buddies kit creates. Aren’t they cute?
Of course you can change them up and do alternate cards/projects. But you can also make all the cards as is and then continue creating with the stamps, inks and left over pieces. This photo shows what I had remaining after making all the cards as the kit intended. There are a lot of leftover pieces, right?
So I created cards with a few of the leftovers and I have five to share with you today. They are super simple. I used an extra stamp set for the sentiments, but you wouldn’t need to.

The first couple cards I made would be perfect for birthday party invitations. (In fact you could turn ALL the cards in this kit into invites for a robot-themed party! Just use your computer to write up the party details. Then print it off and add it to the inside of the card.) The robots in the top card are stamped and then embellished with a few little stickers and googly eyes. The robots in the bottom card are created from the extra stickers. And if you run out of speech bubbles, you can just add skinny triangular stickers cut from the edges of the sticker sheets as I did in the bottom card to still give that look of who is talking. The Bermuda Bay cardstock is cut to 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″. The Basic White is cut to 5″ x 7-1/2″ and scored parallel to the short end at 3-3/4″.
I used a Basic White Notecard for this 3rd one. I thought the robot’s hand was a perfect place for a flower.
And for the inside I used a portion of the long sticker that looks like a bunch of gears.
Here are the last two cards. Again I used a notecard for my simple “what’s new” robot card. But the other one required a few more extra supplies (see below). The Granny Apple Green grass sections are just 1″ x 4-1/8″ pieces that I cut along the top. And the Balmy Blue card base is 4-1/4″ x 11″ scored parallel to the short side at 5-1/2″.

I added a bit of extra cardstock, some envelopes, the new Happiness Abounds Stamp Set and ink, the Bough Punch, and some Iridescent Rhinestones and turned the supplies from this kit around to make a simpler more personalized magnet board, a 12×12 scrapbook page layout, and 15 greeting cards! It’s a beautiful project as intended. But I couldn’t help myself and had fun changing it up.
I just showed live on YouTube and on Facebook about an hour ago step-by-step directions all the projects I came up with. And now I’m sharing that video here in my blog post. As many of you know we are getting rooms in our house remodeled. I have yet to share with you before and after photos of our bathroom because it’s not quite done yet. A couple things needed to be re-done. I will share those photos soon.
But we are already going forward with our main level remodel project. And as I mentioned in the video, we are going to have some BIG changes. Tear down began on Monday of this week!
Lucky and I love all the action. Here he is supervising the work. The plan is to have this whole level done by the end of June. So we are crossing our fingers that there are no delays in products and supplies.
