Our Stampers With ART Community had another card swap recently. On April 18th we swapped fun fold cards with each other! It’s my favorite swap theme, and I’m so excited to share!
Some of the cards even feature new products that demonstrators could preorder from the 2024-25 Annual Catalog! Can you find the “new?” Click here starting May 1st to find a link a link to that new catalog. (But give me some time to add that link…I’ll be in Mexico vacationing and not on my usual task schedule. 😉)
Take a look at all the creativity! Those that made each card are mentioned in the watermarks of the photos. By the way, this is a “sharing post” only. These ideas are to inspire creativity not to instruct. Please don’t ask for further details. I don’t have a supply list or measurements for each of these cards. And I don’t want to pressure the creators to provide that. Thanks for understanding. Of course, if you see an idea that you’d like me to share in the future, let me know.

I woke up this AM with a card idea and went straight to work putting it together. No video today… and it’s just a quick post because I need to get to packing! (I leave for Mexico tomorrow!!) But I had to share this card with you that I made with the April 2024 Delicate Wings Paper Pumpkin kit.
It’s based on a fun fold card I made back in May 2023 (gosh about a year ago!) for my Layering Leaves Class-to-Go. I called it my Tucked Gatefold Wreath card. But this one I’m sharing today is a vertical version of it. (By the way, the tutorial for that class is a popular one which includes other cards/projects as well and it’s still available for purchase.)
I already shared four other alternate project ideas using this April 2024 Delicate Wings kit just a couple days. Check it out here. But I couldn’t resist and had to put this Tucked Gatefold Card together and share!
The only extra products I used are listed here. In fact, I didn’t even use the stamps or ink from the kit. So one could just use the refill kit, coordinating dies, and the Iridescent Foil Gems to make it! To purchase the refill kit and dies, be sure to have an active Paper Pumpkin subscription or click here to get a subscription going, and then visit the Paper Pumpkin products available just to subscribers for purchase. (Both Cut & Emboss Machines are listed here, but you only need one. The mini size will work with these dies.)
Delicate Wings Tucked Gatefold Card…
To begin, I scored my flat card base in on each side at 2-1/8″ and at 4″. Then I trimmed 1/4″ off each side.
I folded along the four score lines I had just added (as shown) but not along the middle one that already was there. I attached the 1/4″ strips to the middle 1/2″ wide area with glue. There was a small overlap when I added them, because I made sure they were just inside the outer middle creases. This helped to reinforce the center. I also attached the cut-out/printed butterfly layer to the champagne foil layer (lifting the wings a bit).
OH! I also used the Thanks & Beyond Dies to cut a small detailed butterfly from another quarter piece of champagne foil. And then cut it in half to get two wings for adding later. But in hindsight, I wonder if I could’ve cut that shape from the foil piece I had layered here (maybe in a conspicuous spot on the bottom portion that gets covered by the top layer).
Next I used the champagne foil layered piece as a guide and added Dimensionals to the center of the card base in a few spots.
I closed my card by bringing in the two sides (like a Gatefold Card) and attached the layered champagne foil/butterfly piece to it with just those three center Dimensionals making sure it was centered and aligned. Then I opened the card by bending back those tucked side panels, and I added the two wings I had die-cut earlier (with glue) and the four butterflies from the kit to the inside panels (using Glue Dots on the center backs of each so I could bend the wings up a bit). I finished the card by adding some gems to the front panel. Here is the finished front.
And here is the inside. Yay! So pretty, so fun, and so easy to make!

I’m excited to share with you my first set of alternate projects I’ve created with the April 2024 Delicate Wings Paper Pumpkin kit!
For those of you not familiar with these kits, they get delivered straight to your mailbox in the months of your choice. Inside are all the supplies you need AND the directions for assembling the kit cards/projects designed. Here are the intended cards designed for this April 2024 Delicate Wings Paper Pumpkin kit. (Click here for Stampin’ Up!’s how-to video to help you assemble these as intended.)
What are alternate projects? Well, I take the supplies from the kits and create other things…different cards and projects. This way I can show others how to stretch the kits in new ways. A kit that you may have not been a fan of might all of a sudden be more attractive (or a favorite) because of a new way of using the supplies!
And I’m sharing my first alternates with you today. Even if you didn’t get this kit, I hope the ideas I share can be applied to other products you own, and I hope what I share inspires your creativity!

One set of new products you’ll be seeing come May 1st is our new Mix & Match collection which includes packs of preprinted images (called ephemera packs), preprinted cards and envelopes, and the Simply Said Stamp Set which is a suggested set of basic all-occasion sentiments. This combination of products allows someone newer to paper crafting to have a creative stamping experience making greeting cards without the need to “own it all.” In our new catalog, you’ll find these products and lots of card ideas using them on pages 18-21 of the 2024-25 Annual Catalog.
I used a card base from each of the two preprinted card and envelope packs: Sunny Springs & Calming Creek. And I used sentiment stamp images from both the Simply Said and the Unbounded Love sets.
I also used a couple pieces from the Labels & Layers Ephemera Pack…
…and the Fully Flowering Ephemera Pack to create two cards for you today.
For this first one, I started by adding two flower images together to get a layered floral focal point. I added the single pink flower cut-out the the double one so it was positioned in the middle and up a bit and didn’t cover the green strawberries.
Then I turned my card base inside out, folded it with the print side in and the white side out, and folded back the front half to create a z-fold.
I stamped the pink label and attached it to the inside with its left edge lined up next to the middle crease. Then I folded the card back shut and added the layered floral cut-out with Dimensionals on the back of the left half to attach it in the middle so it covered the label.
I made a Spanner Panel card for my second one. I started by cutting into my card base to form two 1″ wide outside strips on the front half. I then stamped both my label pieces and added my wider one to the middle of the middle panel. Next I attached my skinny label piece to my floral piece, and then added this combo to my card front with Dimensionals connecting only on the outer one-inch strips to form a sort-of bridge: the “spanner” part of the card.
As you can see in this second photo, the front layer is now a separate panel from the middle.
I finished the card by stamping one more sentiment on the inside.

Last month I shared Tucked Insert Fun Fold cards that I had designed and made for gifts and swaps. I shared the measurements, supply lists, photos, and instructions in my how-to video. But within that video I also improvised and put together another card with that same fold using upcoming new products including two ephemera packs: Fully Flowering Ephemera and Saying Something Ephemera.
So now that we are less than two weeks away from the start of the new catalog and these new products releasing, I am sharing with you the measurements, supply list, and photos for that ephemera card. PLUS I created one more version with similar supplies but using different papers and cardstock. I hope these cards inspire your creativity and give you a peek at what’s available soon!

On this card, be sure to add the 1-3/4″ diameter circle first and then add the main flower to it with a Dimensional.
I didn’t add inside imagery or wording, but you certainly could. Remember to add “bling” in the center of your main flower, too!
Here is the other card I put together using the same two ephemera packs. This one has a Texan feel to me. 🤠 Maybe I was influenced by attending OnStage there.

This time we are featuring ideas we created with the contents of the March 2024 Memorable MeadowsPaper Pumpkin kit. See what I have to share. Today I am sharing…
A unique fun-fold card that turns 90° and extends far when open
AND… a 12×12 scrapbook page layout
I’m calling the card a Twist Corner Wide Tri-Fold Card. Check this out…
To make this amazing card I used the full daisy card base from the kit, folded it closed the opposite way, opened it up and folded the upper left corner diagonally so that the left edge when folded back lined up with the bottom edge, then attached an extension piece on the right: a 4-1/4″ x 5-1/4″ piece of Pretty Peacock cardstock scored at 3/4″ on the left (for the overlap).
After connecting and folding, I added a 3-3/8″ x 3-5/8″ layer of Granny Apple Green and a 3-1/4″ x 3-1/2″ layer (stamped with the “beautiful birthday” portion of the stamp) of Basic White to the inside of the Pretty Peacock flap. On the opposite side I added a thin strip of the purple vellum to the edge, a die-cut leaf to the right and an upright butterfly that does not show when the card is fully closed. You’ll want to make sure it doesn’t show when closed because the rotation of the card changes.
With the card closed, I added a strip of purple vellum coming from behind the upper edge of the “corner.” I stamped the other half of the sentiment onto an arched label and attached it to the card with Dimensionals while also tucking and adhering a couple more die-cut leaves. I finished the card by embellishing with three more butterflies.
This is what it all looks like from the back when fully opened.
For my 12×12 scrapbook page layout, I was inspired by the exclusive card that I created and shared with my personal subscribers. (Some of you know what one I’m talking about.) I absolutely LOVE how it came together!
I prepared my pieces:
One sheet of 12″ x 12″ Basic White
Four pieces of 4″ x 5-1/2″ Basic Black
Scraps of Basic Black for the sentiment pieces
One piece of 2″ x 12″ Basic White
One piece of 2-1/8″ x 12″ Holographic Paper
Two 1″ x 5-1/2″ strips of the kit card with the tree image and clouds above
And two 1″ x 5-1/2″ strips of the kit envelope (I hadn’t cut mine down to 5-1/2″ yet in this photo)
Then I stamped the flower outline images randomly on the thin white strip with Smoky Slate ink. I filled in the flowers and leaves with “stamped off” Smoky Slate ink for a slightly lighter gray. For the smaller single flower image I used a Blender Pen dipped into Smoky Slate ink on an acrylic block to add light gray coloring on the petals.
I then masked the sentiment stamp, stamped it onto the black cardstock scrap with Versamark ink, stamped the full sentiment image again onto another area of the scrap, added the white embossing powder, and used the Heat Tool to emboss. I trimmed these words out by hand for my title pieces and set them aside.
To build the page, I started by adding the Basic Black photo mat pieces in the four corners. Then I added a 14″ length of ribbon adhered only in the center and on the ends which are wrapped around to the back.
I added the kit card and envelope strips right up next to the photo mat edges above and below the horizontal ribbon creating a look of an extended sky above the trees.
I layered the stamped white strip onto the holographic strip, tied on a bit more ribbon through the middle, added this to the page with Dimensionals, attached the sentiment pieces to the upper front with Dimensionals, and finished off the page design with some kit sequins.
