Many of us Stampin’ Up! demonstrators are in the midst of our yearly convention, the November 2021 OnStage@Home. So today I thought I’d share a few glimpses from this event, share a bit of what we’ve experienced so far, show off the gifts Stampin’ Up! sent to us attendees, share the gifts I sent to my team members, and tell you a bit of news about my rankings this year.
This event is still virtual, so here is my viewing area in my favorite spot of the house, my crafting room. This time I brought over my BIG screen, my desktop computer. So I had four devices in front of me which also included my laptop, iPad and iPhone.
Thursday night was all about celebrating each others achievements and introducing new products that will debut in January. We had a team Zoom (hosted by my upline, Susan Campfield) that started an hour before the SU event where we chatted and stamped. I believe there were over 60 of us online at once! And then many of us stayed on the Zoom while we also watched the event at the same time.
The bonus to that was not only did it feel more like we were in person together cheering for each other when names were announced, but we got to go through the new January-June 2022 Mini Catalog & Sale-a-Bration Brochure at the end of the SU presentations. It’s ALWAYS much more fun to look at a new catalog with other crazy, obsessed paper crafters!
Yesterday was the second day. And it was a full one…over 7 hours of more great content which also included even MORE new product presentations. Here are just a few peeks at what will be coming soon!

We have one more full day today. Fun, fun, fun!
Here are the gifts that Stampin’ Up! sent to all of us attendees (well,…all of us that registered to get the “swag.”) The swag included exclusive grid paper, a fun angle-bound notepad, a set of three OnStage pins, a set of six pencils, a fun tote bag, and the In The Moment Stamp Set (which will be available in the new mini). Stampin’ Up! also sent all the leader demonstrators a pair of magazine holders with a matching pen holder.
Speaking of gifts, it’s sort of a tradition for uplines to send goodies to their event-attending team members. So this time I reached out to Glenn at www.thecountrycardinal.com and he mass produced 80+ of these coasters for me. I sent him my design, and he printed them. Oh my goodness…I was so impressed when they arrived! In fact, because he lives “close enough,” he delivered them to my door! This may seem strange, but it’s all good when he is the father of one of my team members. (Ashley, the co-owner of www.thecountryhive.com is his daughter.)
Aren’t these just beautiful!?
For the packaging, I added each of these coasters to a cellophane bag along with a couple bags of guava tea, added a stamped and decorated topper, added a note on the back, and then inserted our team ribbon in the in-between space of the topper.

I love these events! Joining together with my stamping friends in this way gives all of us so much energy and joy! It allows us to look forward at what’s to come. But it also allows us to look back.
And what a year it has been! Thank you to all of you who have helped me to get here. I’m BLOWN AWAY to be among the top achieving Stampin’ Up! demonstrators again this past 2020-21 year!

Today is the last day to sign up (or have an active subscription) for Paper Pumpkin so you get in on the next kit titled Haunts & Harvest (see below for more info). So I thought I’d share one more card that I put together with the kit card base that originally challenged me. It was a tough one to change up, because the design was very specific and made to pair up with the large colorful die-cut piece.
But here is what I did. And I’m quite happy with it. It’s simple and uses very few extra supplies.

Measurements for extra pieces…
Calypso Coral Cardstock
3/4″ x 3-1/4″ (for left banner)
3/4″ x 3-3/4″ (for right banner)
Directions…
Stamp the large and small butterflies overtop the the purple-pink “shadow” areas. These shadows are butterfly shaped already, so they will fit pretty well inside the stamped image outlines.
Punch one end of each Calypso Coral strip. Then stamp sentiments from the kit stamp set (or from other stamps you have on hand) onto these strips. I used sentiments from A Grand Kid Stamp Set.
Add a sequin to each sentiment strip opposite from the punched ends if you have room.
Attach these to the card front with Dimensionals as shown and trim off any overhanging ends.
Then stamp the small butterfly on the inside to finish off the card.
I made six of these from my two kits so that I could send five of them out with some product to a few of my lucky August 2021 Paper Pumpkin subscribers.

The July-December 2021 Mini Catalog is full of many holiday-themed stamp sets. So if you are looking for that, this catalog has plenty to offer. But it also includes a handful of sets that are more diverse or what I consider “all-occasion” and are great for covering some basic card-maker’s needs like birthday, thank you, and congrats. I’m featuring one of them today and pairing it with one of my favorite new border punches from the 2021-22 Annual Catalog to make a winter version and a summer version of the same type of card.

I’ve had lots of fun creating with the Counting Sheep Stamp Set and the coordinating Sheep Dies – two free picks that are at the $50 level from this season’s Sale-a-Bration brochure.
Today’s project shows them off in this fun window card.
You can see the jumping sheep when the card is closed AND when it’s open. Below are the details if you wish to recreate it.

Measurements
Balmy Blue Cardstock
5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ scored parallel to short side at 4-1/4”
Basic White Cardstock
4” x 5-1/2″
Scrap for stamping and die-cutting sheep
Smoky Slate Cardstock
Scrap for die-cutting fence
Vellum Cardstock
Scrap for coloring with the alcohol ink art technique and then die-cutting with the 2-5/8″ diameter circle die
White Glittered Organdy Ribbon
8″
Directions
Color the Blends Markers onto the scrap of Vellum, spritz with rubbing alcohol, move the color with the Heat Tool to get a look that you like, then allow to dry. Click here to watch my how to video for this technique. Die-cut with the 2-5/8″ diameter circle die.
Prepare all the other pieces listed above. Then die-cut the 3″ diameter circle from the front of the Balmy Blue card base piece.
Add the Basic White layer to the inside of the card. Mount the sheep onto the vellum circle using Dimensionals. Close the card and add the vellum circle/sheep piece to the inside of the window. Make sure the adhesive on the vellum is hidden by the sheep. Open the card and stamp the sentiment.
Color the ribbon with the Dark Balmy Blue Blends Marker. Allow to dry. Tie it into a bow.
Add the fence and the bow with Glue Dots.
Add dots of Crystal Effects and allow to dry.

Welcome to our All Star Tutorial monthly blog hop for the Hand-Penned Suite!
Be ready to be immersed in this fantastic suite with all that we have to share. In addition to the suite products, you’ll also notice now that there is an addition pack of beautiful black & white designer paper now out there called Beautifully Penned. This paper coordinates well with this suite and is free with a qualifying order (in the US that amount is $50 not including shipping and tax). I didn’t use that paper in the card I’m sharing today, but I did in my exclusive tutorial project (see below for details on how you can get that tutorial bundle).
A few hours ago I shared live on YouTube step-by-step directions for how to make a Double Slider Card using the Hand-Penned Petals Stamp Set, the Penned Flowers Dies, the Hand-Penned Designer Series Paper, the Gold Metallic Specialty Paper, and the new Brushed Metallic Adhesive Backed Dots. It looks like a complicated card, but it’s done with a super simple mechanism – a loop of thin plastic! And now I’m sharing that video here in my blog post.
