I’m hoping you are all having a wonderful weekend and a Happy Easter.
I’ve been playing with the Bough Punch a lot lately. I’ve also been cleaning my craft area. And I came across some boxes I had made and shared last year on April 13, 2022. Both of the critters’ bodies on the boxes are made with the Ladybug Builder Punch. The bunny’s ears and tail are also made with the Bough Punch.
And so with Spring in the air and these punches in hand, I made another bunny and added it to the front of this green card to create a Congrats card geared for someone expecting or someone who has just had a baby.
I had a lot of green on the card base layers already. And when I added the bunny, the leaves under it blended in too much. So I punched black leaves and gave them all a shadow layer.
Here are the details for recreating this card.
Products I used… See below for a complete list of products linked to where you can find them in my online store.
Measurements
Basic White Thick Cardstock
4-1/4” x 11″ scored parallel to short side at 5-1/2”
4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″ (for die-cutting the Flora layer)
Scraps for punching the bunny parts
3/4″ x 3-1/4″ strip for punching the sentiment layer
Parakeet Party Cardstock
3-7/8” x 5-1/8”
Garden Green Cardstock
3-3/4” x 5”
Granny Apple Green Cardstock
Scraps for punching the leaves
Basic Black Cardstock
Scraps for punching the leaves
Tips/Directions
Watch the video in my 4/13/22 blog post (starting at the 8.5 minute mark) for instructions for punching and assembling all the parts to form your bunnies (one for the inside and one for the outside). After assembling that bunnies, add the green leaves & one more layer of black leaves for the shadow to one of the bunnies. Set aside.
Die-cut the 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″ white layer with the large die from the Two-Tone Flora Dies. Use large or small Blending Brushes to add color to the layer…Parakeet Party in the bottom right section, then Granny Apple Green further out, then Garden Green going light to dark. (You can swap these steps if you’d rather – blend the ink on the cardstock and then die-cut.)
Glue this to the Garden Green Cardstock layer. (I sponged it on with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.) Then trim up the overhanging sections.
Punch the ends of the sentiment strip piece. Stamp it so the word is off to the right a bit.
Assemble: Add the Parakeet Party Cardstock, add the Garden Green layer, add the bunny with the leaves and the sentiment strip with Dimensionals, and add the silver flower embellishments.
Open the card and add the other bunny with Glue Dots (so it has a small amount of dimension) and a few flowers.

I made a bridge fold card to share with you today. And what’s fun about this one is I created the look of a an actual bridge with the new Elegant Borders Dies and added on it the walking rhino image from the new Rhino Ready Bundle (Stamp Set & coordinating Dies). So it’s my Rhino-on-a-bridge Bridge Fold card! (I’m giggling.)
The images in this set are so adorable. I’m in love with this birthday card, and know it will delight whoever receives it. Below is what it looks like on the back.
I’ve shared how to make bridge fold cards in the past. But if this is a new fold to you, I invite you to watch my tutorial from my 2/24/17 blog post to get a feel for how this kind of card can come together. Another one of my favorites was from my 2/21/18 blog post when I turned the supplies from the Picnic Paradise Paper Pumpkin kit into a picnic table (upside down, this card looks like a table).
Here is a view from the top of my Rhino-on-a-bridge Bridge Fold card! (I’m giggling again…catchy, right?)
A bridge fold card can flatten in either direction to fit into an envelope for mailing.
Here are the tips and details for this card in case you want to recreate it.
Products I used… See below for a list of products linked to where you can find them in my online store.
Measurements…
Garden Green Cardstock
4-1/4″ x 8″ scored in at each end at 1″ and 2″
1-1/2″ x 5-1/2″ for die-cutting the canopy of foliage at the top of the card
Scraps for die-cutting leaves
Basic Gray Cardstock
1-3/4″ x 5-1/2″ for die-cutting the canopy of foliage at the top of the card
Enjoy the Journey Designer Paper
3-3/8” x 4-1/8”
Basic White Cardstock
3-3/8” x 4-1/8”
Scraps for stamping and die-cutting rhino/bird image and little bird
Scrap for stamping and punching sentiment oval
Daffodil Delight Cardstock
Scrap for punching sentiment layer
Tips…
Color (with the Basic Gray, Daffodil Delight and Pumpkin Pie Watercolor Pencils and Blender Pen) the stamped rhino and bird images. Then die-cut. I find it’s much easier to do it in this order so you have more cardstock to hold onto while coloring. There are two images to die-cut and two to just stamp on the back white layer.
To create the orange layer between the white sentiment oval piece and the yellow scallop oval piece, color a thick line of the Pumpkin Pie Watercolor Pencil as shown below. Then swirl the tip of the Blender Pen to draw the color up nearer to the edge for the new scallop layer.
Multipurpose Liquid glue on the detailed areas of the bridge help connect the rhinoceros/bird image. You’ll also want to use this glue for connecting the sides of the bridge and the sides of the canopy to the outer areas of the card. (Flatten the card in one direction when attaching these connecting pieces.)
Wink of Stella on the detailed areas of the bridge help give it a more metallic look.
The big leaves and the white sentiment oval are added with Mini Dimensionals.

I wanted to make birthday cards with the contents of the Let’s Party kit, one of the selections in the Kits Collection by Stampin’ Up!® Normally this kit makes “pillow” box treat containers as you can see when you click on this link to take you to the product in the online store.
So I played around with these kit pieces and came up with this card layout below.
Products I used… See below for a complete list of products linked to where you can find them in my online store.
Measurements
Basic White Thick Cardstock
4-1/4” x <5-1/2″ (5-7/16″) scored parallel to short side at 5-1/2”
Box base from the kit
Trim off the rounded ends to give you a piece that is 4-1/4” tall (save the ends)
Directions
After slicing off the rounded ends of the kit box base, trim the scraps in half. Keep the two rounded pieces and discard the two notched pieces.
Fold only on the score mark towards the outer edge of the box base layer. Connect this folded end with the Basic White Cardstock wrapping the end around. When it’s all lined up, add adhesive and adhere.
Adhere one of the rounded ends in the center of the outside edge of the exposed area of the Basic White Cardstock. Add one of the scalloped circles from the kit so it extends out and off the front, so it’s centered/lined up with the rounded end on the outer edge, and with the second rounded edge tucked underneath but seen when the card is open.
(You may need to trim the ends before tucking this piece or it will look like this.)
Stamp the sentiments on the rectangles. Attach the animal and the front sentiment with Dimensionals. Add the inside sentiment.
Add embellishments from the kit and some of the yellow Adhesive-Backed Milky Dots.
Thanks for stopping by to see what I had to share today. If you need to purchase supplies, make sure you include envelopes!

#APaperPumpkinThing Welcome to our monthly APPT blog hop to showcase Paper Pumpkin kit alternate projects! This time we are highlighting the “Sunshine & Smiles” February 2023 Paper Pumpkin kit. See what I have to share. Then check out all the other blogs in the hop for additional creative ideas that my fellow Stampin’ Up! demonstrator friends shared. Here are the cards the kit instructs how to make. (Click here for a link to Stampin’ Up!’s how-to video to help you assemble these as intended.)
I’ve already shared some other alternate projects using the contents of this kit on February 22nd.
A tri-fold window card (a fun-fold card)
And how I turned the three different kit cards into eight (more than doubling the cards you can make from the kit contents)
Today I am sharing…
An adorable mini album (great for a gift!)
AND… a simple set of refrigerator magnets
Yes! It’s a simple idea. By adding magnets to the back sides, you can make fun scenes on your refrigerator. And what a great activity for young kids (or bored teenagers hanging out in the kitchen).
I used business card magnets with Stampin’ Up!’s Foam Adhesive Sheets. I peeled the backing off one of the magnets, stuck it to a sticky side of a similar size piece of Foam Adhesive Sheet, and then trimmed it into pieces that fit each of the kit pieces.
By using the Foam Adhesive Sheets, the added height makes it easier to grab the character and move it.
Here is the next project idea. I received a mini album as a gift from my friend and fellow demonstrator, Luanne Peterson. So I used that layout from hers as inspiration for this one I’m sharing today. The layout is similar with slightly different measurements to maximize the use of the 12×12 cardstock base.
Measurements…
Balmy Blue Cardstock
12″ x 12″ scored in one direction at 5″ and 10″ and then scored in the other direction at 3-3/4″, 3-15/16″, 7-3/4″ and 8-1/8″
Larger layers (from the kit cards and the Rain or Shine Designer Paper)
3-5/8″ x 4-7/8″
Smaller white layers (from the envelopes)
1-7/8″ x 3-5/8″
Basic Black Cardstock
optional…these 3-1/4″ x 4-1/2″ pieces are just in there to represent photos in the windows
Piece wrapped around the outside when closed (from an envelope)
cut as directed below
Balmy Blue and White Variegated Ribbon
25″
Most of the products come from the kit, but there are a few extras.
Products I used… See below for a complete list of extra products I used linked to where you can find them in my online store.
After scoring the Balmy Blue 12″ x 12″ Cardstock, remove the skinny strip sections. Below is a visual of the scores and cut out sections.
Add the layers. The strips along the bottom of the white sections are just leftovers that I had after cutting the card bases down to size. Photos can be added to the top of the solid layers and…
…underneath the window layers. I used the glue dots in the kit just at the very top of the window layers.
To cut the window layers so the windows are centered, trim the card base at 3-15/16″ as shown below. Then flip and trim at 3-5/8″. Then trim off a little over a quarter inch (5/16″) from each of the other two ends.
To cut the wrapped outside piece (from one of the envelopes), trim 7/16″ (just under 1/2″) from each of the two sides. Then without opening the envelope and with the bottom closed edge lined up at 4-1/8″ mark on your trimmer, cut the excess off as shown below.
Open it up and now line up the straight edge at the 3-3/4″ mark and score to give you a second score line. Add this after all the inside layers are completed and after you’ve stamped the sun image. So when ready, fold up the completed album, tie on the ribbon, wrap and glue on this piece, untie the ribbon so that it’s flat under the layer when drying, add the final embellishment pieces, and re-tie the ribbon when dry.
Here is a walk through now of the album closed and what it looks like as it opens up.
(By the way, I used one of each of the different card bases, an extra yellow card base, and two pieces of designer paper for the 10 larger layers.)
Here is a look at the inside fully open.
And here is a look at it when it’s flipped over.
Thanks for seeing what I had to share. I hope these ideas inspired your creativity!

I received my February 2023 Sunshine & Smiles Paper Pumpkin monthly subscription kit yesterday afternoon, and I’m excited to share with you today my first set of alternate projects that I just put together!
This fun kit contained the supplies shown below to make nine cheerful cards (3 of 3 designs).
But I never assemble my kits as is, because I like to share other ways to use those supplies. I like to think outside the box…see what else I can come up with, and create alternate cards, scrapbook pages and more. So today I’m sharing with you…
A tri-fold window card (a fun-fold card)
And how I turned the three different kit cards into eight (more than doubling the cards you can make from the kit contents)
Because my craft studio has been overtaken by tools and supplies for our bathroom remodel project, I haven’t been able to spend time in there and haven’t had a lot of creative time. So I decided to combine two things together: my first set of Paper Pumpkin alternates AND my Wednesday Live Online Paper Crafting Class. What a whirlwind! But oh so fun!!! Normally my Paper Pumpkin alternate videos are pre-recorded so I can edit out mistakes and speed up slow parts. So I had to be pretty organized bringing all of this into a Live recording.
Watch my video first by clicking here to get to get measurements, directions, and tips (or you can just click on this image below if you are already in my blog post). Scroll down to see close-up photos, access the links that I mentioned in my video, and see a list of extra supplies (linked to my online store) that I used to make my creations. Then be sure to visit my blog again soon, because I have many more alternate projects that I’ll be sharing on March 3rd.
Here are the cards the kit instructs how to make. (Click here for a link to Stampin’ Up!’s how-to video to help you assemble these as intended.)
