I just returned with my family from the 2021 Stampin’ Up! Incentive Trip in Maui. We had a wonderfully relaxing time. And we were very spoiled and pampered. A huge thank you to all of you who support me in my Stampin’ Up! business!!
I’ll share more photos from our trip this weekend. But today I am sharing swap cards I received, the swap boards, the gifts given to me by Stampin’ Up! before & during the trip, gifts I got from a few other fellow demonstrators, and a fun way to make a folded paper wallet from a 12” x 12” sheet of designer paper. (A big thank you to Jackie Ross for sharing her version of this in the 2021 Maui Stampin’ Up! Incentive Trip swap.)
I just showed live on YouTube about an hour ago step-by-step directions for creating this paper wallet (with coordinating note cards) using the Inspired Thoughts Stamp Set, the Perfect Plants Dies, the Expressions in Ink Ephemera Pack, and the Bloom Where You’re Planted Designer Paper. And now I’m sharing that video here in my blog post. Be sure to watch the video by clicking here (or you can just click on this image below if you are already on my blog post), scroll through the close-up photos that follow, check out the measurements & products list below, and then let me know if you have any questions.
I hope you enjoyed what I shared in this video. Below are measurements, close-up photos, and a product list for what I demonstrated. (Please subscribe to my YouTube channel so you can get updates when I share and go live).
Products I used… See below for a complete list of products linked to where you can find them in my online store.

Tonight I’ll be attending a fun, 3-hour online Stampin’ Up! event called OnTour along with several other demonstrators. This event and many others that have been taking place this month are designed to kickstart and support the launch of the 2021–2022 Annual Catalog in our businesses. I’m looking forward to all the connecting and sharing that this event promises. And I’ve heard lots of positive reviews from those on my team that have attended other sessions this month already. Yay!
I gifted all those on my team who took part in OnTour a pack of Pearls and a Z-Fold card that I made with products from the Sand & Sea Suite.
Products I used… See below for a complete list of products linked to where you can find them in my online store.
Measurements
Basic White Thick Cardstock
5-1/2″ x 8-1/2” scored parallel to short side at 2-1/8″ and 4-1/4”
Emboss the Mint Macaron piece. (I made 80 cards. So to do the embossing step quicker, I embossed larger Mint Macaron pieces – 4-1/4″ x 6″ – and then cut them in half.)
Punch the left ends of the 1″ tall pieces. Stamp the sentiment on the white one. Layer these together so the Just Jade piece peeks out on top and on the left a bit.
Then attach the sentiment piece to the embossed Mint Macaron piece using a Dimensional at the banner cut end and Seal+ at the other. Trim off any excess. Add this all to the 3-1/8″ x 4-3/8″ Just Jade layer.
If you wish to make the inside layer as I did, then click here to download the sheet I printed off for my cards. Print it onto Basic White regular cardstock (or just printer paper if your printer can’t take cardstock), and cut each section to 3″ x 4-1/4″ pieces.
OR…stamp something onto the 3″ x 4-1/4″ piece of Basic White using images from the stamp set.
Adhere the 3″ x 4-1/4″ piece of Basic White to the inside of the card so that it is centered. Close the card and adhere the embossed layered section just to the folded left half so it is centered on the card AND so that it covers the white layer on the inside.
Add Wink of Stella and pearls around the sentiment strip area.
Sign the card with the Just Jade Marker if you wish.
I’m excited to see what the event has in store! Because the event is being held on a Zoom platform, I’ll be able to reconnect with old friends and meet many more. Fun, fun, fun!
Thanks for stopping by today!

If you’ve been following my blog posts over the years, you’ve seen me share photos of a special weekend getaway that my parents and I have hosted at their place for my achieving team members at the Silver Elite and above title. But like many events this year, our Silver Elite Retreat was held virtually (on Zoom) to keep us socially distant during this pandemic. And today I’m excited to share with you a couple glimpses of the fun we had on Saturday and photos of the gifts I gave to the well-deserving Cheryl Lee and Nancy Forsberg!
My husband, Tim delivered their baskets of goodies that morning. And I personalized them by including beverages and treats that I hoped they would enjoy.
Cheryl’s basket included tortilla chips, salsa, Bacardi Limon (two bottles) and a chilled Diet Coke.
Nancy’s (and Kayla’s – they are a mom/daughter team) included Doritos, Sun Chips, a mini champagne, Moscato, and Vodka.
I told them they couldn’t open or dig through it until we started the Zoom at 10 AM. ?
Here is what else was in each of their baskets: their own personalized insulated beverage bag,…
…a Mini Paper Pumpkin Box decorated with some upcoming new products (the Fine Art Floral Designer Paper, Gilded Leafing, and Blushing Bride Metallic Ribbon) holding a sampling of Gilded Leafing and a personalized Clear Block D,…
…and other etched blocks (in decorated Gold and White Mini Pizza Boxes) that they earned from achievements this past SU year.
In fact a HUGE congrats to all those on my team who earned these!
But the most fun part about the baskets were the new products debuting in the January-June Mini Catalog and make-n-take supplies prepped and ready to put together.
After going through our baskets I walked them through assembling our Sand & Sea Suite projects.
After breaking for lunch we gathered again and put together our Hydrangea Hill Suite projects. (I’m so excited to share these suites with all of YOU.)
Then we got creative and did our own card designs with the supplies from the upcoming You Are Amazing Project Kit.They finished their cards. I did not. And I forgot to take photos! Oops! Maybe it’s because we had enjoyed our beverages at this point in the day? Hahaha.
We took a break for dinner. And when we returned, we chatted about all kinds of things. I loved that we were able to make this event possible. I’m so very excited for how far these gals have taken their businesses. They really deserved this pampering!
Here is a bit of news from Stampin’ Up! that was shared with us late Thursday night. Some of you may have already heard.
“We are sad to announce that the supplier’s mill producing our Whisper White cardstock has permanently closed due to impacts from the COVID-19 pandemic. Even though this decision was out of our hands, rest assured that we jumped right into action to find the best replacement paper possible. We have dedicated many hours to source and test alternative cardstock options from several suppliers to find the perfect fit that still maintains the Stampin’ Up! quality you know and trust. And we are happy to share that we have found a winner for our new cardstock, Basic White! Our new Basic White products will become available to purchase as soon as we have them in stock. It’s always hard to say goodbye, but we are excited about the new Basic White product line and we encourage you to try it out!”

MY ONLINE PAPER CRAFTERS CLUB IS LOOKING FOR NEW MEMBERS We are looking for more to join our online Paper Crafters club. The commitment is to order at least $25 worth of Stampin’ Up! product in each of 6 consecutive months. In one of those months, you would reap the hosting rewards (free merchandise based on the club orders). And then you’d also be able to get in on monthly product perks that would be sent to you along with your monthly club cards.
Over 10,000 of us demonstrators from around the world just attended Stampin’ Up!’s OnStage@Home event, our annual convention this year held as a virtual event because of the pandemic. And they really knocked it out of the park!
The event kicked off Thursday evening with musical entertainment from Pat Benatar & Neil Giraldo (yes! can you believe it?!) and was followed by awards/recognitions and fun stamping demonstrations.
It was during this event that I found out that I placed in the TOP 20 in the US for sales, team building and leadership AND ranked #14 IN THE WORLD out of 57,040 demonstrators!!! I am so completely grateful and humbled to be among the top achievers. I knew I had an amazing year with my stats, but wow! I bow down to my team of course for the team building and leadership rankings! In fact most of these awards were not earned on my own. So…HUGE thank you’s to ALL of you who have supported me so I could turn this passionate love for paper crafting art into such a rewarding career. ❤️
I was also recognized for earning the incentive trip, my $800,000 career sales milestone, my 20 year anniversary with the company, and my promotion to Gold Elite.
To my surprise, a few deliveries came the next day from a few of my demonstrator friends! So not only was on on cloud 9, but the house smelled spectacular!
Friday and Saturday were full days filled with trainings, breakout classes, Stampin’ Up! news, prizes, announcements, and more demonstrations of new products that will debut in January in our upcoming January-June Mini Catalog and Sale-a-Bration Brochure. Oh yes! Did I forget to mention that?! We were able to see all the new goodies coming our way! AND we were able to preorder some of these items early. (So of course, I did. Join me this Monday evening at 6 PM Central Time on my Facebook Page where I will reveal many of these items during my Box Opening party. That’s tomorrow, because yes…I expedited my order. Ummm…of course. LOL)
Here are some more glimpses of new products coming our way soon.
All the presenters did a fantastic job! But I have to say ending the event with the “Sara and Shelli Show” is always the best. Shelli is the co-founder of the company. Sara is her daughter and now the CEO of the company. This mother-daughter team is seriously always SOOOoo much fun to watch.
And they presented one of my favorite new suites: Fine Art Floral.
Stampin’ Up! always spoils us with gifts and prizes. I won a level two Sale-a-Bration Stamp Set called A Touch of Ink. And the all-attendee give-away was $25 product credit. SOooo nice. These items were also sent to those of us who opted for the “swag” when we registered.
And demonstrators at the title of Silver Elite or higher were also sent this CenterStage gift: a new paper snips with dangling scissors charm.
When I opened it I had to laugh. Because that’s the gift I send out to those in my team who attended…a scissors charm! I also sent them a fun-fold card, a team ribbon and a note of appreciation. Here are a few photos that I took during the process of assembling and getting them out in the mail.
I bought the actual etched charm from NouveauElements on Etsy. And then I added the jump rings and cord myself.
I got a few gifts, too! We demonstrators like to do that sort of thing at in-person events. But how fun that the gift giving still took place even though we weren’t gathering in person. Those that made each gift are mentioned in the watermarks of the photos.
I have yet to break open the champagne that Nancy and Kayla gave me. I’m saving it for when my husband brings home a celebratory flourless chocolate cake.
By the way, if you want to see even more glimpses of new products and more from this fun event, use the hashtag #onstageathome when searching social media.

We are in the midst of Stampin’ Up’s Leaders Summit event. As most large events in this crazy year of 2020, the Summit is being held online. Though this August 2020 event was switched from in-person to virtual, it has still been incredibly amazing and full of information, inspiration, motivation and more!
Attendees from all over the world started getting spoiled and excited when gifts began arriving to each one of us. To keep this special gift a surprise to those who were still awaiting theirs, most of us tried not to share what it was until the event began. So now I can reveal it to you. Stampin’ Up! sent each of us a set of two champagne glasses from Tiffany & Co!! And they arrived in a beautiful Tiffany blue box!
What a great way to make us leaders all feel so special. ❤️
My upline (and dear friend), Susan Campfield sent her husband door-to-door the morning of the first day of the event to drop off a gift to each one of us attending. Wow! Right? This made us feel even MORE special. And she personalized mine to include nectarines, dark chocolate and a gluten-free treat. Yay!!
And then it began!…
Leaders Summit kicked off with a Welcome Reception at 2 PM Mountain Time on Thursday, August 27. We were asked to bring one of our glasses as we raised a toast.
Because Stampin’ Up! had liked what I had written in a response to an email that had been sent out about a month back, I was picked as one of the presenters for a special Global Top Performers session that followed the Welcome Reception. I was nervous, but very honored. (So I kept my toasting beverage mellow… just water! LOL)
Yesterday was much busier. Friday’s events went from Noon to 8:30 PM Mountain Time with a 1-1/2 hour break for dinner (in my case). Because this event is being held live for demonstrator leaders all over the world, there are many who are getting up in the early hours of their morning or staying up to the wee hours of their night to participate. And some ventured out to stay in hotel rooms with their computers to make it easier to focus and be in the moment of this incredible conference. I’m fortunate that my husband and boys are self-sufficient and okay with me staying in my studio/office while the event is taking place.
Plus I really couldn’t have traveled well anyways because of my broken toe. So I’m even more grateful that this event is virtual. In fact, by evening I had moved up to our living room so I could elevate it.
For those of you who missed me telling the story this past Wednesday during my Online Paper Crafter’s class on YouTube, I broke a bone in my fourth toe of my left foot when I wasn’t watching where I was going the evening of August 20th. I ran into the leg of our new couch. 🙁 Here’s the x-ray.
I’m over a week into the healing process and starting to feel better now. Thank you for all your well wishes.
We have one more full day today. I am rested and ready! In fact I’ll be gathering for a Team Online Brunch via Zoom with those in our group in less than an hour! Fun fun fun!!
Oh!… I also wanted to share what I sent to those in my team attending this event with me! I had a few extra bags left from my Blossoms In Bloom Paper Pumpkin Palooza event this past June. They they each got one of those with some little gifts inside.
The gifts included a bracelet, a pack of Gold Gilded Gems, and a string of mini LED lights that they could use for decorating. I enclosed the lights and a special card with a hand-written note inside a Gold Mini Pizza Box wrapped with the Forever Greenery Designer Paper.
These demonstrators have worked hard to get to their titles and qualify to attend this event. I’m grateful that they have invested in it and are attending it with me! I can’t wait to see what this day has in store for us.

And then you’d also be able to get in on monthly product perks that would be sent to you along with your monthly club cards.
As you saw from my last post, I spent this past weekend up north celebrating and spoiling my Silver Elite team member, Cheryl Lee at my parents’ cabin. This is the 3rd year we’ve done this (click here to view photos from last year). And it is so much fun to just get away, create projects, and pamper Cheryl (with the help of my mom and dad).
We headed up on Friday morning, stopped for lunch at our traditional place (The Beanery in Aitkin, Minnesota),…
…and then arrived, unpacked, and were stamping away by 3 PM! My mom helped me cook and serve yummy meals, and my dad did the dishes afterwards. Those two put their all into this weekend, and it felt like we were at a Bed & Breakfast. (I’m blessed.)
I like to throw in silver embellishments when I can when I make my gifts for this event. So I used that fun Silver Metallic-Edge Ribbon and a Silver Leaves Trinket on this tag.
I even added a Silver Leaves Trinket to the zipper of the bag.
This was an extra special gift that I included in her bag.
Cheryl (bless her heart) gifted us, too! We each received a mini bundt cake. She gave my parents a pretty flowering plant. And I received this hand crafted bag with a pretty stone necklace inside!
I love how she used a strip of coordinating designer paper across the front of the bag to hold the card.
Over the course of the weekend, we each stamped 13 cards and one 3-D project. Here is one of cards we made Saturday morning – part of a set of 8 card variations made with the Seriously The Best Card Kit that I’ll be sharing in detail here on my blog next week.
Click here to see another set of 3 cards we made that I shared on my blog on Monday. And stay tuned for more posts (like the hexaflexagon card) coming soon for the rest of the items we made.
A week before our event I sent Cheryl this vellum z-fold invitation.
Here are the details if you wish to recreate it…
Products I used… See below for a complete list of products I used linked to where you can find them in my online store.
PDF Tutorial…Click here to access and download a direction sheet for this project.
Measurements
Melon Mambo Cardstock: 5-1/2” x 4-1/4” and 2-1/8” x 5-1/8″
Lovely Lipstick Cardstock: Scraps for stamping and punching two umbrellas
Vellum Cardstock: 9-3/4” x 5-1/4” scored parallel to the short side at 2-1/4” from one end and 4” from the other end
Whisper White Cardstock: 5”x 2” for the outside and 5” x 2” for the inside of the card
Best Dressed Designer Paper: Scraps for stamping and cutting two umbrellas
Silver Metallic-Edge Ribbon: 15”
Directions
Stamp and punch two umbrella tops from Lovely Lipstick scraps. Stamp and fussy cut two umbrella tops (cutting right to the black outline) from pink floral prints from the Best Dressed Designer Paper. Adhere with SNAIL. And embellish top of each with a Rhinestone.
Stamp sentiments, rain drops and umbrella handles onto Whisper White Cardstock layers. When front layer images, position umbrella tops first. Use the Basic Black Marker and a ruler/straight edge to extend the length of the handles.
Then adhere umbrella tops using Dimensionals.
After cutting, scoring and folding Vellum Cardstock, adhere inside white layer first so it’s attached to the inside widest section but centered under the narrow 2-1/4” wide part of the Vellum. (You’ll be able to see through the vellum to line things up.) Flip Vellum over, add adhesive under the white cardstock area, then attach to the wide Melon Mambo base layer. Add the front white layer to the narrow Melon Mambo layer. Then add this to the top of the 2-1/4” wide Vellum section. Because of the way the card opens, there is no need to worry about the adhesive under this front layer.
Wrap around and tie on ribbon. Secure knot in place with a Glue Dot.
Since this is Cheryl’s 3rd year attending, we spent time reminiscing about previous years… trying to recall which year had the huge snowfall, which year we ate certain meals, etc.
This year the weather was pretty darn perfect. It was super cold on Friday, the day we arrived and on Sunday, the day we went home which was fine for traveling. But it was much warmer on Saturday when we ventured out on a walk. And the sun shone pretty much all day every day.
It’s a beautiful location and I am looking forward to next year already! We had a wonderful time together.
