The new Give It a Whirl Dies are so much fun! Have you seen them yet? I’ve been inspired by many and have been pinning some of these creations on my 2021-22 Annual Catalog Pinterest board. But I’ve been most inspired by team member, Vy Tran’s spinner card variations. She does a great job making interactive cards! The new Turtle Friends Stamp Set has some adorable images. I purchased it along with the Turtle Punch, because buying them bundled together saved me 10%. But I didn’t use the punch on today’s card. Take a look at what I came up with.

5-1/2” x 8-1/2” scored parallel to short side at 1-1/4″ and 4-1/4”

Directions
Stamp the large turtle onto the small white piece and onto the Pale Papaya scrap. Stamp the shell shaped sentiment inside the shell of the Pale Papaya turtle, then cut it out.
Emboss the Pale Papaya shell and the larger gold strip. Adhere the shell to the large, stamped turtle (this is called “paper piecing”).
Fold the card base. Add the 1″ wide strips so that the designer paper one is centered in the 1-1/4″ wide section of the Early Espresso card base and the gold one is about 1/8″ away from the right side when the card base is open.
Stamp the words and small turtle on the larger white piece, then add to the left of the gold strip so that its left edge is close to (but not touching) the middle score line. You want to be able to fold the card shut, and if the white is too far over, it won’t. You also want to make sure that when the front of the card is folded over that the white piece disappears.
Add the larger designer paper so it looks balanced between the designer paper strip and the white piece.
Add the small gold strip to the small Early Espresso piece, then add the small white piece. Open the card all the way and add this layered turtle piece with Dimensionals to the card so it’s lined up with the imagery on the larger white piece AND so it’s centered on the 1″ wide designer paper section.
Close the card and add the gold pearls.

Welcome to our All Star Tutorial monthly blog hop for the Sand & Sea Suite!
I received an amazing fun fold card from Sara Douglass & Shelli Gardner earlier this month. When I messaged them to thank them, I said it was the most “wowest” card I have ever seen! Seriously…this thing is incredible. (Click here to check it out.) And so of course as an addict to fun fold cards and math, I just had to recreate it (in a slightly more simplified version) and share it with all of you.
So a few hours ago I shared live on YouTube step-by-step directions for creating my version of this card using products from the Sand & Sea Suite: Friends Are Like Seashells Stamp Set, the Seaside Seashells Dies, the Seashells Embossing Folder, the Opal Rounds, and the Sand & Sea Designer Paper. I’ve already shared some other alternate projects using the contents of this kit on April 26th.
Today I am sharing party invites that I mass produced with the Stamparatus and some easy but cute gift pouches for party guests.

The gift pouches are super easy to make. All I did was cut my envelopes from the kit in half. Then I trimmed off the sides to open them up.
I turned them inside out and resealed them with Tear & Tape (along the bottom) and Stampin’ Seal on the side.
This is what they look like on the back side.
I added a layered sentiment piece with Basic White (1-1/4″ x 3-1/2″) and Basic Black Cardstock (1-3/8″ x 3-5/8″), Rhinestones and a stamped sentiment from the kit in Tuxedo Black ink.
I filled my sample one with some odd but colorful treats (I was laughing when all I could find in the house was Kool Aid and a pack of Craisins. hahahaha). I guess if I was having a cool treats themed summer party, I’ll probably put a $5 gift card to an ice cream shop and a pack of Pop Rocks in there instead.
Here is what I did to make the invites.
First I stamped the popsicle images all over a piece of cardstock that I colored with multiple ink colors using the Blending Brushes. Click here, click on the video, and then scroll to the 21 minute mark to see how I colored that cardstock and added droplet images. I then fussy cut those popsicle tops.
Next I pulled out my Stamparatus and easily & quickly stamped 16 note cards with two stamp images at the same time.
I added a 1″ x 5″ strip of the envelope liner paper (you can get 4 from each envelope) and a 5″ length of Black Glittered Organdy Ribbon to the bottom of each card front, added a colored popsicle top with Dimensionals, stamped the splatter image in matching ink colors, and added Rhinestones.
I have 16 cards ready to personalize with party information on the inside. Now I just need to set a date and have the boys give me their guest list so we can enjoy and celebrate together outside when school is out.

Directions
Die-cut the banner portion of the largest die.
Die-cut the circles.
Then trim out the banners and stamp them with the sentiments.
Stamp the bouquet on the 2-5/8” designer paper circles. Add the banners to the circles and trim the left ends. Layer onto the Silver Foil Circles.
Emboss the top flap of the black card base and the bottom flap of the white card base.
Add the 4” x 5-1/4” designer paper layer to the inside of the card, then fold the bottom flap up and adhere with Tear & Tape Adhesive on the sides to form a pocket card.
Tie on the mesh ribbon, attach the circle layer with Dimensionals, and add the rhinestones. (Optional – on the black card, add the die-cut designer paper half circle.)

I was making bookmarks showing off the new 2021-23 In Colors to send to my customers with their catalogs. And I accidentally cut too many strips. So I paired them up with the Elegantly Said Stamp Set and Elegant Tag Punch and I turned them into cards.
I just showed live on YouTube about an hour ago step-by-step directions for making these cards with these new products debuting in less than 2 weeks in the 2021-22 Annual Catalog. And now I’m sharing that video here in my blog post.
