I’ve been a little busier than normal as I’ve been preparing for my Layering Leaves Class To Go. But I just have to share some creative inspiration with all of you. So today I thought I’d show you a card that was made by my friend and fellow demonstrator, Luanne Peterson.
Gorgeous, right!?
She made it with the Cheerful Daisies Bundle debuting 5/2/23. AND she actually made nine of these cards because she donated them for the prizes for our recent Stampers With ART team event. Just think of all the time put into that.
Aren’t these layering dies amazing? All three flower layers started out white. But on the bottom two layers she added the pink and yellow inks. Under all that are the green foliage die-cuts from these dies and from the Timeless Arrangements dies. Then all of this is atop a Cane Weave embossed Smoky Slate layer with a Bubble Bath Countryside Corners frame cut out in between.
Luanne also featured two new colors (Bubble Bath & Lemon Lolly) and two returning colors (Lemon Lime Twist and Berry Burst). Can you spot them?
By the way, this is a “sharing post” only. These ideas are to inspire creativity not to instruct. So I don’t have a full supply list, measurements, or directions. And I don’t want to pressure my friends who send me cards to provide that. But I hope that some of the things I pointed out will help you if you want to recreate this card or something similar. Last summer my friend and fellow demonstrator, Linda Lancaster and her husband Butch hosted my family on one of the nights of our big road trip that we took out East in June. I was so excited to finally meet her in person and see their beautiful area where they lived in the mountains. We were spoiled by their gifts, great food, and warm hospitality…such a great time!
Included in the gifts was a card that Linda gave me with a big flower on the front.
It’s a very pretty card and I’m excited to say was the inspiration for the card I’m sharing with all of you today.
I just showed live on YouTube and on Facebook about an hour ago step-by-step directions for how to fold paper circles and assemble this large Paper Dahlia. The new 2023-24 Annual Catalog debuts May 2nd. And in it (on page 96) you will see my Million Dollar Achiever stamp set called Layering Leaves. It is an all-occasion stamp set that coordinates with one of our “staple” punches, the Bough Punch.
Leaves are awesome accents for a wide variety of cards and other paper crafting projects. Layering Leaves is also a “2-Step” photopolymer set. So creating filled in leaves is quick and easy.
A beginning paper crafter will benefit from a set that has versatility. This set is quite versatile and coordinates with a punch instead of a set of dies – a more affordable option. *Once I receive your registration request form, I will send you an invoice within 24 hours. Please allow up to 24 hours to see your invoice come through then pay ASAP to secure your spot. Registration Request forms will close on April 30th. Payments are due by May 1st at the latest. On May 2nd I will order all Stampin’ Up! supplies for paid participants.
Once I receive the products, I will cut, prepare, and package everything. I’m am planning to send out all class packets by May 11th with an estimated arrival in mailboxes around the 15th. The class to go kit will be available to complete at a time that works for you.
Sometimes products become unavailable. If this happens when it comes time for me to order supplies, shipping delays or substitutions may occur.
Video and PDF instruction will be made available on May 2nd and will be emailed to registered and paid participants at that time. Today I’m sharing the second card I assembled after receiving my Million Dollar Achiever stamp set, Layering Leaves.
I was inspired by this pretty card I received from my friend and fellow demonstrator, Amy Rudd. (She used the now-retired Splendid Day Suite to make her card.)
As you can see Layering Leaves is an all-occasion stamp set that coordinates with the Bough Punch.
This set is not available for purchase yet (not even for demo preorder). Stampin’ Up!® sent me my complimentary copy in March. But it will be available when the new 2023-24 Annual Catalog debuts May 2nd.
The first card I shared (and some details about how this set came to be) can be found in my April 3rd blog post. And I have more cards and projects that I’m creating! In fact six of them are for a class that I’ll be offering. And I’ll post information about that class tomorrow with peeks at those cards/projects. The class registration will begin at that time and include different sign up options! 😃

Stamp & Punch all leaves and sprigs. Stamp and die-cut all circles. Prep all the rest of the pieces above. And stamp the ‘best wishes’ sentiment on the second designer paper layer.
For the circle layer…
Add the middle white circle to the blue so it’s off-center. Layer on the leaves and springs gluing sparingly and using the smallest white sentiment circle as a guide as you go. It may even help to just use regular tape to hold things in place.
For the top half I started with the Vellum leaves, then added the large blue leaf, then the stamped green leaves, then the glimmer paper sprigs, then the blue sprig.
For the bottom half I started with the green stamped leaves. Then I tucked in the blue leaves and the glimmer paper leaves.
Fold add the ribbons. Again…adding regular tape may help.
Add the small white sentiment circle with the help of Dimensionals.
Tie a bow in the twine. And add that with a Glue Dot.
Assemble in this order: the circle and leaves layers first, then add that to the first designer paper layer, then add the designer paper layers to the folded card base. The designer paper is thinner than the cardstock. So adding the assembled circles/leaves layer first will stiffen the top layer up a bit and make the over all experience much easier.
I absolutely LOVE the basic sentiments in this set! They make your cards that much more versatile. This card can now be given for any celebration or milestone…graduation, birthday, retirement, wedding, engagement, moving, etc.
