Did you get the May 2017 Sprinkled with Love Paper Pumpkin kit?! What a yummy theme…donuts! It's been fun playing and creating with this kit. (And my boys really appreciated that they got to eat the props after this photo shoot.)
If you have never been a subscriber to Paper Pumpkin, I hope you check out what I have to share. Then scroll down to learn more about the 25% special going on for new subscribers. It's a great time to give it a try!
You can of course make the cards as instructed in the enclosed directions, or do what I do…come up with alternate projects. Each month I share my "outside the box" ideas with these kits. And today I am sharing what I came up with using the contents of this May 2017 Sprinkled with LovePaper Pumpkin kit.
I wasn't able to fit them all into the video. So my scrapbook pages, Project Life layout and one other fun card idea are shown only in the photos below. I hope you get some inspiration from my Sprinkled with Love kit ideas:
In the video
a sugar donut card
how to make more round donut card bases
turning one donut into 3
a chocolate glazed donut tag for a gift box
how to make mini donuts
other non-donut ideas (cheese, a record, inner tubes…)
Watch the video first to get tips, measurements and directions. Then scroll down to see close-up photos of the projects and a list of extra supplies I used to make them.
Here are photos of the cards that the directions in the kit share how to make. (Click on each picture to see it a bit larger.)
KIT CARDS
My boys' favorites were these two that looked like actual donuts.
When you assemble the blue card, be sure to put your Dimensionals for the message banner on top of the twine so the twine stays in place.
Here are close-up photos of the alternate projects that I created from this kit that I shared in the video above. (Click on each picture to see it a bit larger.)
(Another version with an 8-1/2" x 5-1/2" card base.)
GIFT BOX WITH CHOCOLATE GLAZED DONUT GIFT TAG
(I turned the Paper Pumpkin box inside out.)
OTHER NON-DONUT IDEAS (cheese, record, inner tube)
Here are photos of my other alternate projects that I created from this kit that weren't shared in the video. (Click on each picture to see it a bit larger.)
A PROJECT LIFE LAYOUT
(I share how to make the mini donuts in the video.)
(I took these next two photos in bright sunlight to show the sparkle of the Dazzling Diamonds glitter.)
12×12 SCRAPBOOK LAYOUT
Prom or wedding pictures would look great on this layout.
To get the circular accents on the page I cut one blue card base into two circles. Then I die-cut the center out of the one with the gold lines.
I cut the gold line-accented piece into four sections and I cut the back of the card into two half circles.
I placed two of the gold line-accented pieces and one of the 1/2 circles in the upper right corner of the left page. I placed the other two gold line-accented pieces and the other 1/2 circles in the lower left corner of the left page.
And I used the circle center from the gold outline side for a floral base journaling section on the right page.
A SIMPLE FUN-FOLD CARD (two made with a full donut)
Here is the easel card closed.
This is the inside.
And with the top folded and set in place…
the donut sections are connected.
I hope you like what I shared or at least gained some sort of helpful tip to use in your own paper crafting projects.

I am so excited to present to you more of my "outside the box" ideas I came up with using the contents of the April 2017 A Sara ThingPaper Pumpkin kit. Each month I think I'm going to fit them all into one short video, but it never happens. 😉 So my six projects (shown in this clip from recording below) are split into two videos and include…
4 unique card ideas
a 12×12 traditional scrapbook layout
and a Project Life layout
…AND some fun tips with the kit.
Watch the videos first to get tips, measurements and directions. Then scroll down to see close-up photos of the projects and a list of extra supplies I used to make them.
FYI…Click here to see my blog post where I shared the boxes shown in this first video.

Here are close-up photos of the alternate projects that I created from this kit that I shared in the video above.
RESIST CUT-OUT CARD
DOUBLE Z-FOLD MOTHER'S DAY CARD
This one is so much easier to make than it looks.
TORN EDGE CARDS
My favorite of my alternate cards.
BIRTHDAY CANDLES CARD
Curl the paper slightly, add color,…
…attach a bit of twine,…
then roll into a candle being sure to secure the edge with strong adhesive.
12X12 TRADITIONAL SCRAPBOOK PAGE LAYOUT
The photos will look like they are about to take flight! LOL
PROJECT LIFE LAYOUT
A director's clapboard and a camera. I forgot to mention in my second video (because my boys were home that day and I was rushing to get it recorded hence the muted long portions) that I got the idea of the clapboard from fellow demonstrator Kimberley Morris who shared her fabulous Paper Pumpkin project during our April 24th blog hop. Thanks so much Kimberley!! CLICK HERE to see her box.
I hope you like what I shared or at least gained some sort of helpful tip to use in your own paper crafting projects.

Product List… things you might need/want in addition to the April 2017 Paper Pumpkin kit to make any or all of the projects in the videos
Looking for information on retiring products and the upcoming 2017-18 Annual Catalog? Click here for the newest news! 😉
The Retiring Products List posted April 10th. Certain products tend to sell out quickly. So take inventory now and start making those needed purchases earlier than later.
Want to be one of the first to see and get your hands on new products?
You can see in this card below how simple I kept them. Basically I took a couple Project Life cards (or sections of the PL cards) and layered them with slight angles on the card front. If there was space that needed to be filled with words, I stamped my message image before adhering the PL card down. And then I just added either Rhinestones here and there or a section of silver or gold Metallic Doily.
Because the PL card kit comes with two of every design, I made two of each of my greeting cards shown.
Not all Project Life Card kits lend themselves well to this, but you could experiment. In the meantime, if you need LOTS of cards quickly in your future, you may want to get this Hello Lovely kit before it sells out. (It's on the retired list!)

I've got two sets of "outside the box" projects for you this time! The second set should be ready next week, but today I am ready to share with you a few fun alternate ideas that I created with the contents of the March 2017 Bunny Buddies Paper Pumpkin kit.
This is what I have for you in my first set of projects (part 1 of 2)…
altered colored bunny bags
ways to make your own ears
a sachet
envelope bunny treat bags
and a fun Project Life layout
Watch the video first to get tips, measurements and directions. Then scroll down to see close-up photos of these projects and a list of extra supplies I used to make them. (Click on each picture to see it a bit larger.)
Here are close-up photos of the alternate projects that I created from this kit that I shared in the video above.
MY VARIETY OF BUNNY BAGS
The two with the peach ears are made per the kit directions. The other 3 are altered a bit.
Here are the altered bags. Two have different ears (that I show you how to make in the video). The white one is a bleached bag. And the brown one is a stained bag.
I loved changing up the bag colors!
Staining is easy with Stampin' Spritzers. (If you want a more permanent color, you may want to use fabric dyes instead of our Classic ink reinkers.)
I wasn't a fan of the multicolored ears that came in the kit, so I made my own for a couple of the bags.
A SACHET
As you'll discover in the video, sewing is NOT my thing. But I do love the smell of this sachet! I could gift it, but instead it will be going in MY drawer.
For those of you who don't mind working with a needle and thread, you will find this project quite easy.
Decorate the bag, stuff it, and sew it shut.
I used Gold Glitz (see the complete supply list below), but Dazzling Details "glitter glue" is also available in Silver Sparkle.
ENVELOPE BUNNY TREAT BAGS
Those of you who use your small note cards in the kit for other things will have extra envelopes left over. Bagalopes is another term used when referring to these fun bags made from envelopes. Check out the video to see how easy these are to make!
MY FISHY PROJECT LIFE LAYOUT
The wild patterned paper reminded me of a school of fish swimming. So I took the "ear stickers" and put them together to form a fish.
I share tips for centering these alphabet stamps and for turning our white bubble stickers (White Perfect Accents) into clear ones.
The fish eye is another altered White Perfect Accent.
Too fun!
I had a great time creating these ideas. I hope you got a bit of inspiration from them so that you can use your Bunny Buddies kit contents in other ways.
If you are one of my March Paper Pumpkin kit subscribers, you'll be getting my 12-13 extra exclusive project ideas on April 2nd. So watch for that.

“Bold, vibrant, and artistic—with a little bit of sass,” is how Stampin’ Up! CEO Sara Douglass described the kit she designed for the April Paper Pumpkin. Plus every April Paper Pumpkin kit will include a FREE gift! Get started, stay active, or renew your subscription.
Prepaid subscriptions are another way to get in on the fun. You purchase 1, 3, 6 or 12 months all at once, enter your prepaid code into your Paper Pumpkin account (you will get an email after purchasing that gives instructions for this), and then enjoy each month for the number of months you purchased. I highly recommend the 3-month or the 12-month prepaid right now.Click here to read more about Sale-A-Bration. Even current subscribers can purchase prepaids, because the prepaid code that comes via email after purchasing can be entered into a Paper Pumpkin account and it will override the credit card that is already in the system. I LOVE that Paper Pumpkin prepaid subscriptions count towards your purchases for Sale-A-Bration rewards! But hurry! Sale-a-Bration ends March 31st.
Thanks for checking out the projects I had to share today. Have a great weekend!
Product List… things you might need/want in addition to the March 2017 Paper Pumpkin kit to make any or all of the projects in the video.
My "outside the box" Paper Pumpkin kit projects are coming to you much later than I had hoped. So sorry about the delay! I guess there is more work involved in installing new flooring and changing out 3 rooms in a house than I had thought. 😉 Plus, February was a short month, so really these ideas are coming to you on the 6th or 7th which seems WAY better than the 9th! LOL
Well…better late than never, right?
I hope you like what I created with the February 2017 Many Happy Birthdays kit. I did one video this time, but it's got some fun ideas in it. Hopefully you'll think it's worth the 35 minutes. Just grab a snack.
This is what you'll find in my video…
another version of the slider card that comes in the kit
12×12 scrapbook pages made using a couple fun tricks
an easy but unique Project Life layout
and a really great mini album – 2 versions
Watch the video first to get tips, measurements and directions. Then scroll down to see close-up photos of these projects and a list of extra supplies I used to make them. AND if you scroll down even more, you'll see 3 other card ideas not shown in this video.

I have just a few more ideas to share that I created with the January 2017 Adoring Arrows Paper Pumpkin kit. Sorry that I don't have a video for these, but I am going on a crafting retreat this week and needed to take a few things off my to-do list.
