I am so excited to present to you more of my "outside the box" ideas I came up with using the contents of the April 2017 A Sara Thing Paper Pumpkin kit. Each month I think I'm going to fit them all into one short video, but it never happens. 😉 So my six projects (shown in this clip from recording below) are split into two videos and include…
- 4 unique card ideas
- a 12×12 traditional scrapbook layout
- and a Project Life layout
…AND some fun tips with the kit.
Watch the videos first to get tips, measurements and directions. Then scroll down to see close-up photos of the projects and a list of extra supplies I used to make them.
FYI…Click here to see my blog post where I shared the boxes shown in this first video.
Here are close-up photos of the cards (click on each picture to see it a bit larger) that the directions in the kit share how to make…
KIT CARDS
Be sure to catch Sara Douglass in the "how to" video Stampin' Up! put out on their Paper Pumpkin YouTube channel so you can get tips on water coloring and putting these kit cards together.
Here are close-up photos of the alternate projects that I created from this kit that I shared in the video above.
RESIST CUT-OUT CARD
DOUBLE Z-FOLD MOTHER'S DAY CARD
This one is so much easier to make than it looks.
TORN EDGE CARDS
My favorite of my alternate cards.
BIRTHDAY CANDLES CARD
Curl the paper slightly, add color,…
…attach a bit of twine,…
then roll into a candle being sure to secure the edge with strong adhesive.
12X12 TRADITIONAL SCRAPBOOK PAGE LAYOUT
The photos will look like they are about to take flight! LOL
PROJECT LIFE LAYOUT
A director's clapboard and a camera. I forgot to mention in my second video (because my boys were home that day and I was rushing to get it recorded hence the muted long portions) that I got the idea of the clapboard from fellow demonstrator Kimberley Morris who shared her fabulous Paper Pumpkin project during our April 24th blog hop. Thanks so much Kimberley!! CLICK HERE to see her box.
I hope you like what I shared or at least gained some sort of helpful tip to use in your own paper crafting projects.
If you were one of my April Paper Pumpkin kit subscribers, you received my extra exclusive project ideas on May 2nd! I hope you enjoyed them.

LOVE all your ideas! Thank you for sharing your time and talent with us! I’m good at replicating but not on the creating so I appreciate your generosity so much!
So glad you like what I shared, Susan!
