Now I invite you to continue reading today’s post for creative ideas that I shared this week.

🦋 Wednesday, October 1, 2025

I was inspired by a Tent Fold birthday card I received from fellow paper crafter, Joanne Ryder. (Thanks Joanne!) So I created six other versions…three cards using products from the Kintsugi Inspirations Suite (featured in the 2025-2026 Annual Catalog) and three with products from the Traditions of Christmas Suite (featured in the September-December 2025 Mini Catalog). I sent sets of the consumable supplies for these cards out to my team members so they could create along with me for one of our creative projects during our 9/28/25 virtual/online team event. And then three days later I shared the instructions for these during this Wednesday’s Online Paper Crafting Class.

Oh wow! What a fun day of sharing during my Live broadcast on YouTube today. I started by leading my viewers in a Mystery Stamping Project. (If you want to play along and haven’t yet, then you don’t want to see the finished card samples yet. So don’t scroll down too far, and be sure to watch the recording first!) After the Mystery Stamping portion, I then shared several new products many of which debut on November 4th. And I ended the broadcast by sharing cards & gifts I’ve received recently (including my mass-load of Happy Birth-o-ween gifts from Rose Kerry) and the September 11th swap cards from those in my Stampers With ART community.

Show & Share Time! Visit my 10/4/25 blog post for the link to my Live featuring recent stamped greeting cards & gifts I’ve received from my paper crafting friends. See out the latest swap in our demonstrator group featuring new products. And check out the 12 Days of Crafting Advent Calendar and some of the new Online Exclusives debuting in November! - Stamp Your Art Out! www.stampyourartout.com #stampyourartout #stampinup

Be sure to watch my video by clicking here* (or you can just click on this image below if you are already here in my blog post and can view it), scroll through the photos of the sample mystery stamping cards, check out the products list below, and then let me know if you have any questions.

I hope you enjoyed what I shared in this video. Below you’ll find my “clues” that I shared in the video, photos of two of my Mystery Stamping sample cards, and at the bottom of my post is a visual list of many of the products (each linked to where you can find and purchase them in my online store).

10/1/25 Mystery Stamping

Materials to gather:

  • Designer Paper (we will use two coordinating patterns and any possibly some accent images)
  • Basic White or Very Vanilla Cardstock
  • Coordinating Cardstock (two colors)
    • Card base color
    • Accent color
  • Stamp images/sentiments
  • Dies &/or punches (optional)
  • Embossing folder (optional)
  • Embellishments and/or ribbon (optional)
  • Adhesives
  • Trimmer & other basic tools

Cut and prep initial pieces…

  • Designer Paper
    • 4″ x 9″ or 10.2 cm x 22.8 cm (pattern should work in portrait)
    • 4″ x 5″ or 9.9 cm x 14 cm (pattern should work in landscape)
  • Basic White or Very Vanilla Cardstock
    • 2-3/4″ x 3-3/4″ or 7 cm x 9.5 cm
  • Coordinating Colored Cardstock (for card base)
    • 4-1/4″ x 11″ or 10.5 cm x 29.7 cm
  • Another Coordinating Colored Cardstock
    • 3-1/4″ x 4-1/4″ or 8.3 cm x 10.9 cm

(Not needed right away, but to finish your card…accent layers from cardstocks/paper and accent images from paper/stamps/dies)

Clue #1: This will be a landscape style card with the opening in the middle.

Clue #2: Score 4-1/4″ x 11″ or 10.5 cm x 29.7 cm card base cardstock 2-3/4” or 7.4 cm in from each end (scores should be parallel to the short side). Fold in on each score line to form the base of the card. Position horizontally in front of you with the opening in the middle.

Clue #3: Cut the 4″ x 5″ or 9.9 cm x 14 cm piece of designer paper into two 2-1/2” x 4” or two 7 cm x 9.9 cm pieces. Adhere these each to the front panels or “doors” of the card base.

Clue #4: Open the “doors” of your card and adhere the 3-1/4″ x 4-1/4″ or 8.3 cm x 10.9  accent color of cardstock horizontally centered in the middle.

Clue #5: Score the 4″ x 9″ or 10.2 cm x 22.8 cm designer paper parallel to the short edge at 3” or 7.6 cm and at 6” or 15.2 cm. Then with your pattern facing you, hold the top of this designer paper strip with one hand while (with the other hand) folding back at the 3” or 7.6 cm score line and then forward at the 6” or 15.2 cm score line. This will create a zig-zag fold (or z-fold). Keep it folded and adhere the back of it to the 3-1/4″ x 4-1/4″ or 8.3 cm x 10.9 accent cardstock layer on the inside of your card.

Clue #6: Open this 4″ x 9″ or 10.2 cm x 22.8 cm designer paper once more and adhere the 2-3/4″ x 3-3/4″ or 7 cm x 9.5 cm Basic White (or Very Vanilla) cardstock in the lower third.

Clue #7: Close your card. Then take some time to cut, punch, die-cut, stamp, embellish to create a front layer for your card. Attach this only to the left “door.”

Clue #8: Open your card and cut, punch, die-cut, stamp, etc. to decorate the top of the folded designer paper strip. Stamp a sentiment on the 2-3/4″ x 3-3/4″ or 7 cm x 9.5 cm Basic White (or Very Vanilla) layer.

A big thank you to fellow demonstrator, Toni Shaw. Her gifted card to me inspired this Mystery Stamping project!

🦋 A Bit of Personal News

Wowza! It’s so true what they say…time flies! Our oldest son Nick is now 20 years. His birthday was Wednesday and we celebrated with dinner at his favorite restaurant, Crave in Maple Grove, MN on Thursday evening. Pictured left to right: Tim, Nick, Luke and me.

Nick’s 20th birthday celebrated in October 2013. - Stamp Your Art Out! www.stampyourartout.com #stampyourartout #stampinup

In my first year of blogging, he was just 7 years old. At that time I was making cakes, decorating the house, and creating and sending hand-crafted invitations for themed parties. I posted this 8 year old baseball-themed birthday party photo of him with his baseball cupcakes (that I made!) on October 5, 2013. Oh how much fun we had with the birthday celebrations back then AND how little he was!
