Stamp-n-Storage 4th of July Sale

If you are new to my blog, then you may not know about my crafting space. It took a LOT of planning and work (and some money, too – lol) to get my dream room. But it was so worth it! Whenever I am in it, I am happy. And that good feeling allows me to feel the MOST creative.

Think about it…if you hate your space (or even dislike it), you go into it with a less than positive attitude. And when you have any negativity, it takes effort to block that when creating. Blah! That's how I used to feel. I'd even pull out my supplies and create in my kitchen just to avoid the aura of my yucky room. My crafting space was never used. Things piled up because I didn't even want to be in it.

I'm not saying you have to totally revamp everything to have a happy space. But sometimes a little organization is all you need.

For example: have a place for your ink pads so they aren't closed away in a plastic tote that you have to keep pulling out and weeding through to find that ONE color. In this photo below, you can see my ink pad, marker and ink refill organizer on the shelf behind my cards.

I love my Stamp-n-Storage organizers! … #stampyourartout - Stampin’ Up!® - Stamp Your Art Out! www.stampyourartout.com

It's from a company that I adore…Stamp-n-Storage! And starting today they are having a sale on their ink pad storage systems. There are many to choose from. I love that when I need a color, all I have to do is look up and grab it. Storing my ink pads this way keeps my room attractive even though my inks are right out in the open.

In case you are curious, these are the Stamp-n-Storage products I own…

And just recently I acquired these two paper crates with a rolling base (so I can wheel these stackable crates around in my room)! I store mine under my taller table.

Stamp-n-Storage Paper Crates and Rolling Base allow me to stack and store my 12x12 papers AND move them around in my room if I wish.…#stampyourartout - Stampin’ Up!® - Stamp Your Art Out! www.stampyourartout.com

Thanks for checking out what I had to share today. Be sure to stop back tomorrow for my monthly Paper Pumpkin Blog Hop. Yippee!! I can't wait to show you what I've created with my June kit! Tutorial Bundle Design Team June 2017 Blog Hop

Tutorial Bundle Design Team June 2017 Blog Hop …#stampyourartout - Stampin’ Up!® - Stamp Your Art Out! www.stampyourartout.com

Today our Tutorial Bundle Design Team is having another blog hop, so you'll have a chance to see similar projects to the ones we created for our June Tutorial Bundle which is now available! https://www.stampyourartout.com/stampyourartout/tutorials-for-sale.html

I hope you like what we share!

Today I am taking some of the same elements that are in my June tutorial project and sharing with you a simpler, quicker, and less-messy version of what you can do with them.

The new Lovely Words Thinlits and Glitter Enamel Dots! Click here to see the other projects in the Tutorial Bundle Design Team June 2017 Blog Hop…#stampyourartout - Stampin’ Up!® - Stamp Your Art Out! www.stampyourartout.com

In fact the elements that you see in this card are a few of the pieces I sent to members of my Stampers With ART community for our May Facebook team Gathering's make-n-take projects.

Here is some information that might be helpful if you wish to recreate this card (or a version of it).

Measurements:

  • Basic Black Cardstock: 11" x 4-1/4" and 3-1/2" x 4-3/4"
  • Shimmery White Cardstock: 5-1/4" x 4" and 2" x 1/2"
  • Sweet Sugarplum Cardstock: 5-1/4" x 4" and 2" x 1/2"
  • Berry Burst Cardstock: 5-1/4" x 2-1/8"
  • Berry Burst 1/2" Finely Woven Ribbon: about 2-1/2"

Directions:

  • Cut the small strips of Sweet Sugarplum and Shimmery White cardstock so they look like banners. Stamp the words "congratulations" and "celebrate" on them.
  • Die-cut the 3-1/2" x 4-3/4 piece of Basic Black Cardstock. Attach the Berry Burst ribbon and the Sweet Sugarplum "congratulations" strip to the upper left corner of this Basic Black piece, and then trim the ends of the pink pieces to line up with the left edge of the Basic Black cardstock.
  • Attach to the 5-1/4" x 4" Shimmery White piece at a slight angle.
  • Attach the 5-1/4" x 4" Shimmery White piece to the Basic Black card base. Then attach some pink Glitter Enamel Dots for embellishments.
  • Attach the Shimmer White "celebrate" strip to the 5-1/4" x 2-1/8" Berry Burst piece. Trim up the white strip to align with the left edge of the Berry Burst piece if necessary. Add this and the 5-1/4" x 4" Sweet Sugarplum piece to the inside of the card.

My project today is an easy yet elegant card.

An elegant yet easy card created with the Eastern Beauty Stamp Set, Eastern Palace Specialty Designer Series Paper, Eastern Gold Vinyl Stickers, and Very Vanilla Thick Cardstock (all new!)… Click here to see this and the other projects in the Tutorial Bundle Design Team May 2017 Blog Hop…#stampyourartout - Stampin’ Up!® - Stamp Your Art Out! www.stampyourartout.com

Here are a few details that should help if you wish to recreate this card.

Measurements:

Other supplies:

Eastern Beauty Stamp Set, SNAIL Adhesive, Paper Trimmer, 3/4" Circle Punch, 1-1/4" Circle Punch, 1-3/4" Circle Punch, Eastern Gold Vinyl Stickers, Paper Snips, Basic Black Archival Ink

Directions:

  • Adhere the Sweet Sugarplum 3/4" circle over the Fresh Fig medallion. And then adhere this all to the Basic Black 1-3/4" circle so that everything is centered.
  • Adhere the Eastern Gold Vinyl Stickers that are shown over the Sweet Sugarplum 3/4" circle/Fresh Fig medallion/Basic Black 1-3/4" circle combo so that everything is centered. Cut this all in half. (Save the other half for a second card…might as well make two!)
  • Attach the Gold petals pattern designer paper to the bottom of the 5-1/4" x 4" Very Vanilla piece. Attach the Sweet Sugarplum strip above that. And then attach the Fresh Fig subtle stripes pattern designer paper on top of the Sweet Sugarplum piece so that just 1/8" of it peeks out.
  • Attach two inches of the gold sticker strip to the upper left of the Fresh Fig subtle stripes pattern designer paper. Then attach one inch of that same gold sticker strip to the upper right.
  • Stamp sentiment above the sticker strip gap. Stamp the dots on each side.
  • Adhere the semi-circle embellishment just below the sentiment so that the straight edge of the semi-circle is in line with the straight edge of the Fresh Fig subtle stripes pattern designer paper.
  • Attach this 5-1/4" x 4" Very Vanilla layer to the 5-3/8" x 4-1/8" Basic Black piece. Then attach this all to the Very Vanilla card base piece.

Time to decorate the front.

  • Layer together the sponges, curled Mint Macaron die-cut flowers using Glue Dots and/or Fast Fuse. (Oh! and be sure to add two really small ones to the center. I didn't have those shown in the first photo of prepped supplies.)

The New 2017-18 Annual Catalog

Mark your calendars!

April 10

The 2017-18 Annual Catalog appears online for demonstrators only.

The retiring products from the 2016-17 Annual Catalog & 2017 Occasions Catalog will be posted at 1:00 PM (Mountain Time). I will relay that information here on my blog ASAP after it appears on the demonstrator side of the website. (You may want to stock up on your 2015-17 In Color products now instead of waiting until then. These items – especially the reinkers – sell out super quick!)

May 2

All ordering will be down so Stampin' Up! can do catalog transition updates between midnight and 3:00 AM (MT). During this time no orders can be entered by demonstrators and by customers (in the Online Store).

Demonstrators can begin pre-ordering products and will receive their complimentary copy of the new 2017-2018 Annual Catalog with this order.

Starting this day those purchasing the Starter Kit can choose pre-order products and will get a box of new catalogs in their kits. (Click here to learn more about the fun of being a demonstrator in my community of stampers and the many other benefits of purchasing the Starter Kit.)

Week of May 8

Stampin' Up! begins shipping catalogs to select customers. Standard (bulk) shipping can take up to three weeks, depending on your location. If you would like to receive the 2016-17 Annual Catalog from me, you need to contact me to let me know.

Those that have ordered at least $75 worth of product from me between December 1, 2016 and April 28, 2017 will be mailed a complimentary one from me.

But I also give complimentary catalogs to anyone that requests one and can either come pick it up OR can pay for me to ship it. Those that live near me may pick one up at no charge. If you do not live near enough to pick one up and you haven't ordered $75+ from me since December 2016, then you may place your qualifying order by April 28th to make that list OR request a catalog to be sent by paying for the shipping charge using this link.

May 15

Complimentary copies of the 2016-2017 annual catalog begin shipping to those demonstrators who didn't place a demonstrator order between May 2 and May 14.

May 31st

This is the last day to order from the current catalogs. This is the last day to order from the list of retiring products, too!

June 1

All ordering will be down so Stampin' Up! can do catalog transition updates from midnight to noon (MT). During this time no orders can be entered by demonstrators and by customers (in the Online Store).

The 2017-2018 Annual Catalog sales period begins at noon (MT) and runs through May 31, 2018.

Product Shares coming for the New 2017-18 Annual Catalog

Just a heads up that I'm planning new product shares (ribbons, paper, etc.) for the upcoming catalog that debuts June 1st. (Click here to see last year's options.) I'll have the 2017-18 shares all planned out with information & sign up opportunities soon. So watch for that information here on my website and in my newsletters!

Us lucky demonstrators get to see the new catalog and get it in our hands soon at our OnStage Stampin' Up! Event April 8th! In fact we already got peeks at a few items! Lots of great new products are around the corner!

No Garage Sale this Summer

Many of you have been asking, so I thought I would announce this here on my website in case more of you were wondering and waiting for the information…I will NOT be holding my annual garage sale this summer. My family has decided to take a fabulous family trip this June of 2017. And it would be too much to try to fit in the sale as well. Thank you for understanding.

Tutorial Bundle Design Team March 2017 Blog Hop

Tutorial Bundle Design Team March 2017 Blog Hop …#stampyourartout - Stampin’ Up!® - Stamp Your Art Out! www.stampyourartout.com

Today our Tutorial Bundle Design Team is having another blog hop so you'll have a chance to see similar projects to the ones we created for our March Tutorial Bundle (that was just released yesterday!). We also had a hop on January 31st for our February bundle, and it was so much fun! I loved to compare the ideas that were shared on our blogs that day to those that were in the tutorial bundle for that month. The projects in the hops are not the actual projects in our bundles, but they are similar.

I hope you like what we share! Follow along and check out all the other blogs in the hop (click on the names of other participants in the list below) so you can see a great collection of hand-stamped cards and paper crafting projects. AND…if you like what we share, you might consider purchasing the March Tutorial BundleClick here to learn more about how you can get these tutorial bundles.

My card today is created with the Hey, Chick stamp set found on page 17 of the Sale-A-Bration brochure. It's one of the most popular Sale-A-Bration freebies, and if you take a peek at the catalog you'll know why. It will make you giggle.

I also used the Cupcakes & Carousels Designer paper, the Fine Tip Glue Pen to create a resist image, and the Balloon Bouquet punch for the egg-shaped layers. (See below for a list of supplies I used to make this card.)

As you can see in this photo, the balloons turned upside-down can create the perfect egg shape. After stamping the cracked egg, I coated it with a small mound of Fine Tip Glue and allowed it to dry. (Ignore the smaller stamped egg. I didn't end up using that piece in my final design.)

Measurements:

  • Whisper White Thick Cardstock: 11" x 4-1/4" folded in half for card base, scrap for punching balloons (eggs)

  • Crumb Cake Cardstock: 1/2" x 2"

Tips:

  • Attach designer paper to card front.
  • Punch balloons and trim to turn them into eggs.
  • Stamp the cracked egg image, then apply Fine Tip Glue to the surface of the egg. Allow to dry.
  • Use dauber to sponge on Pool Party ink. Wipe surface of cracked egg image to remove any ink that may be on the surface.
