Digital Scrapbooking Day 2013 has arrived! To celebrate, get this amazing Moments Ago Stamp Brush Set for FREE today (stamp set and page layout both created by concept artist, Jen Campbell)!!!
To celebrate even more, today and over the next 6 days Stampin' Up! will be offering a specific digital download for 50% off. Woo hoo!
Guest bloggers: A talented group of demonstrators, customers, and designers from around the industry will share project inspiration on the blog.
Videos: We'll share some more ideas with training videos to help you get started.
Daily deals: Every day, we'll feature a new download for 50% off!
Challenges: Use the daily deal download to create a project for your chance to win free downloads. (Upload your samples to the gallery with the matching tag to enter.)
I also wanted to mention that The My Library for My Digital Studio app is now available for iPads, Android tablets, and the Kindle Fire.
With the app you can
Add items you already own to your collection.
Add items you want to your wish list.
Sort your lists alphabetically or by release date.
Search for any downloads.
Browse new downloads released every week.
Here are some other things to note
The app will not link to your software; therefore, manually add items you already own to your collection. Think of it as a sentimental journey-you can reminisce while you categorize.
It's not quite ready for iPhones yet, but we will let you know when it is.
While the app will work with most Android tablets, we do not recommend the Asus Transformer Pad TF300. As we researched, it looks like this will affect less than .5% of our users.
And the Blossom Petals Punch (which was already on clearance) is included. So you can save EVEN MORE by getting it this week. I loved this punch and used it a lot when it was a current catalog product, so I decided to share today one of my favorite cards made with this punch. (I got this card idea from fellow demonstrator, Brenda Cardinal. She's one creative gal!)
Another great deal that was just announced is a sale on digital downloads and digital print products – just in time for the holidays!
Stampin' Up! is kicking off the most wonderful time of the year today with 30% off select holiday downloads and print products* – now through November 30th. (Keep in mind that the flyer with the print products pricing does NOT reflect the 30% off sale. So if you were going to order an 11" x 8-1/2" landscape calendar, you would get 30% off the $19.95 shown – $13.97!! Woo hoo!) Click here to see my calendar I made last year.
Check MyDigitalStudio.net often where SU! will share samples all month long using the products on sale. Share your samples too!
And remember if you don't own MDS yet, you can always give our digital program a try with a FREE 30-day MDS Trial.
One other bit of news that I need to share with you MDS users is…
The My Library for My Digital Studio app** is now available for iPads, Android tablets, and the Kindle Fire.
With the app you can…
Add items you already own to your collection. Add items you want to your wish list. Sort your lists alphabetically or by release date. Search for any downloads. Browse new downloads released every week.

The album is done! And now Tim and I can look back on our once-in-lifetime trip anytime we want and re-live all the memories. (Click here for my post about this Stampin' Up! earned incentive trip to Fiji that we took this spring.)
I used Stampin' Up!'s digital design program – My Digital Studio (MDS) with a pre-designed photobook template. All I had to do was move things around a little, add my photos and journaling, and publish. It took a little bit of time, but not as much time as creating it from scratch and certainly not as much time as scrapbooking the trip the paper crafting way (traditional way).
Gotta love how thin digital scrapbooks are!
I have MDS on my laptop, so I can literally be anywhere when I work on my projects. I only need to be hooked to the internet when I'm ready to order downloads or print products. And the digital program is ONLY $19.95!!
My oldest will be turning 8 soon! Time flies when you're parents, doesn't it?! That age is halfway to getting his driver's license. UGH! And then only 2 short years after that and he'll be a senior, planning for college, dating, working, deciding what he'll do for his career,… (sigh!!!) OKAY, I've just totally overwhelmed myself in just a short paragraph of writing.
Back to reality. He's turning 8… ONLY 8.
On the drive back from the wedding, I designed his birthday invitations with MDS (My Digital Studio). So I thought I would share them with you this morning.
I really like how the photo of him turned out! I kept playing around with the photo effects button – clicking OK after trying the red, the sepia, the blue, the black & white, etc. And the results gave it this antique look!
In the past when I've shared my digital creations, I've neglected to share the downloads and elements that went into making it. So I thought I'd be a little more helpful today (learning how to get better at blogging every day) and copy the supply list for this project.

We were up at my parents' place these past few days. And they have their calendar that I made for them as a Christmas gift hanging in a very prominant spot. I noticed it every time I helped in the kitchen. I then realized that I had better get a head start on my 2014 calendar gifts soon, because EVERY year I am down to the wire trying to gather up all the photos I need and trying to get the designing done all at the same time that I am working on my Christmas cards, baking, shopping, wrapping, etc. So! On that note, you may now be thinking the same thing – YOU may be wanting to get a head start on YOUR calendars. The great thing about digital calendars is you can make one for yourself AND give it to both sets of grandparents but only design it ONCE. 🙂
For today's blog post, I am sharing with you the layouts I made for last year's gift (the 2013 calendar layouts). This way, you may get inspired for YOUR digital calendar page layouts.
If you don't have a digital design program, you should seriously consider the My Digital Studio program. You don't have to be online to design with it since once it's on your computer, it's YOURS. I just finished my album from our trip to Fiji and found that the best times for me to work on it were during plane rides and long car rides (when my husband did the driving). It's $19.95 (disc or download) for the softwareloaded with digital content to get you started right away in your designing. Extra downloads are sold separately so you can pick and choose what elements you like best. You can even try it out FREE (no tax, no shipping) for 30 days, so you can see if you like it!
Every year we get spoiled with wonderful products and project gifts at Convention. Here are some of the Make 'N' Takes (Take 'N' Makes). I did the later – brought the supplies home and made them on my own time. There was just so much to see and do at Convention! I didn't want to sit and stamp with all of it going on.
***
I did only 3 Take 'N' Makes, but they DID give us many more. This first one is a thank you card…
I love the details in this card – the collage of stamp images and bits of card stock. And the card really 'pops' with the dimension and the sparkle.
This second one is a card, but a 'hybrid' card done with the digital program (MDS) and with traditional products (stamps, ink, rhinestone, etc.)…
The third is a gift bag (so pretty yet so simple to make)…
This last photo shows off all the stuff I brought home as gifts from Stampin' Up! We really DO get spoiled…
If you decide to join in on the fun next July, be sure to have plenty of
space in your suitcases on the way out. In fact, bring an EMPTY
suitcase!
