Designer Papers Gift In A Pretty MDS Package

Who's addicted to designer paper? Most paper crafters! It's a staple for adding "design/visual texture" quickly to a page, card or project.

So for a gift to my teammates that attended Stampin' Up!'s Annual Convention with me, I made them Designer Paper samplers. (By cutting each sheet into 3" x 4" pieces, you can get 24 sets of samplers from each pack of paper.)

The photo above shows my sampler all together with one large ring. The intention was for the three categories of papers (Designer Papers, Specialty Designer Papers and Holiday Catalog Designer Papers) to be put on separate rings, but I ran out of smaller rings for me.

This is what each Convention attendee on my team got. And what's even better is that the papers and rings fit into the New Wood-Mount "Half-Size" Cases! So I have a lovely way to present my gifts.

PLUS I decorated them with a design that I made with My Digital Studio.

The ideal way to decorate the boxes – no embellishments to get flattened out, and they stacked well in my suitcase!

Did you know that we can recolor embellishments with our updated digital program. So I just took the digital crochet trim and the digital rhinestone and recolored them Coastal Cabana!

Arrrr, Maties. ‘Tis A Pirate Party.

I've been dying to show you this MDS card and coordinating scrapbook page for a couple months now, but it's been so hard to find a time to post it when there has been so many promotions and announcements (and projects surrounding the promotions and announcements) lately. But I can't wait anymore. On my last scrapbooking retreat (at the beginning of March) I worked on my youngest son's album a bit and completed a handsome, "piratey" 2-page spread…

Notice how I "connected" the 2 pages with the ribbon?

I used many embellishments in clusters as accents and then added in Luke's birthday invitation.

Here is the invitation I made with MDS. It's a trifold card.

Here are the jpegs from his invitation…

(I LOVE that expression! Doesn't he look like a fierce pirate?)

I love to decorate cakes, too. I always think I'm saving money by doing it myself, but I end up spending more because I get carried away in the fun of it all. My son is a fan of Pirates of the Caribbean. (I'm a fan of Johnny Depp.)

Luke is now 6-1/2, but aren't we all just a little behind in our scrapbooking? šŸ˜‰

Happy Birthday, Luke!

My youngest just turned 6 last week. So we celebrated his birthday in grand fashion with a Lego-themed party this past weekend. Luke along with 20 of his friends gathered at a local indoor activity park to climb, build with Legos, and of course eat ice cream & chocolate Lego figures. And thanks to Stampin' Up!'s My Digital Studioā„¢ digital design program, I was able to create a fun and quick invitation. When I was done designing, all I had to do was either print it off to hand-deliver or email it out. Ta-da!
