Today I have some Frameless Clear Front Shaker Cards to share with you!
I big thank you to Lisa Marshall for this card she gifted me which inspired the creating that I did for my cards.
I just showed live on YouTube and on Facebook about an hour ago step-by-step directions for creating these cards using Clear Envelopes, sequins, the Winter Meadow Suite of products (Magical Meadow Stamps & Dies, Silver & White Sheer Ribbon, Winter Meadow Designer Paper), and other coordinating Stampin’ Up!® product. And now I’m sharing that video here in my blog post. US BACK-TO-SCHOOL SALES TAX HOLIDAY Thirteen states and Puerto Rico are offering a sales tax holiday for school supplies during the months of July, August, or September. Products that are eligible according to the statute include “items normally used by students in a standard classroom for educational purposes.” To see the names of participating states, products exempted from tax, and sales tax holiday dates 2023 Tax Holiday spreadsheet here. If you want to get in on the tax holiday, you must place your order with Stampin’ Up! during the tax holiday period in order to receive these items tax-free (which is midnight on the first day to midnight on the last day of the tax holiday). Also, keep in mind that this is a state sales tax holiday; the state statute may not apply to county, city, and special jurisdiction taxes.
Do you make your own Christmas cards? Many paper crafters like to start working on their holiday cards around this time of year. And with the September-December 2023 Mini Catalog debuting September 6, we are now starting to see LOTS of inspiration from that publication on the internet. Today I’ve got two cards for you. One of them I made just yesterday with new products from this publication. The other I made a couple months ago with the Layering Leaves Stamp Set. I had been saving it so I could show you two versions of the same card.
I got a little creative back in June while preparing samples for my Layering Leaves presentation in Medina Minnesota at Creative Connections on July 30 and put myself in Christmas mode to come up with this Mistletoe card using the Layering Leaves set. Just by placing the Garden Green punched leaves in a hanging position and adding some white pearl clusters (Iridescent Pearls), it gave the appearance I was going for. And I’m pretty pleased with the results.

Measurements
Basic White Thick Cardstock
4-1/4” x 11″ scored parallel to short side at 5-1/2”
Sweet Sorbet Cardstock
(2) 4-1/8” x 5-3/8”
Real Red Cardstock
3” x 4-1/4”
Metallic Rose Gold Specialty Paper
3-1/8″ x 4-3/8″
Garden Green Cardstock
Scraps for leaves
Directions
Stamp and punch two sets of leaves using Garden Green ink on the Garden Green scrap paper. Punch two more sets of leaves from the middle of the piece of 3-1/8″ x 4-3/8″ Metallic Rose Gold Specialty Paper.
Add the Rose Gold leaves to the inside top of the card using Multipurpose Liquid Glue. Stamp “Merry Christmas” below it using Garden Green ink.
Position the green leaves onto the Real Red layer, but do not adhere. Swipe the Embossing Buddy across the cardstock where you will stamp. Then stamp the sentiment with VersaMark ink. Remove the green leaves, add White Embossing Powder to the inked areas, tap off the excess, and heat with the Heat Tool to emboss the sentiment.
Add the Garden Green leaves (the left one tacked down fully with Multipurpose Liquid Glue, the right one tacked down just at the top so the lower leaves lift a bit off the surface). Trim any excess stem. Add to the Rose Gold Specialty Paper layer.
Stamp the speckles with Whisper White Craft Ink onto the two corners of one of the Sweet Sorbet layers. Add this layer to the front of the Basic White card base using Seal Adhesive. Add the Real Red/Rose Gold layer with Dimensionals. Embellish with pearls.
Add a photo to the other Sweet Sorbet piece and attach to the inside of the card.
So now here is the other version of this card made with the Magical Meadow Stamp Set & coordinating Magical Meadow Dies which will be available starting September 6th from the September-December 2023 Mini Catalog. I couldn’t add the pearls in clusters this time because of the shape of the dies, but it still looks like Mistletoe to me. Hahaha!

Basic White Thick Cardstock
4-1/4” x 11″ scored parallel to short side at 5-1/2”
Sweet Sorbet Cardstock
(2) 4-1/8” x 5-3/8”
Real Red Cardstock

Directions
Die-cut two sets of foliage using the Garden Green scrap paper. Die-cut two more sets of foliage from the middle of the piece of 3-1/8″ x 4-3/8″ Metallic Rose Gold Specialty Paper.
Run one Sweet Sorbet layer twice through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine using the snowflake accent die to create cut snowflakes in the two opposite corners. Then add this layer to the front of the Basic White card base using Seal Adhesive.
Add the Rose Gold foliage to the inside top of the card using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
Position the green foliage onto the Real Red layer, but do not adhere. Swipe the Embossing Buddy across the cardstock where you will stamp. Then stamp the sentiment with VersaMark ink. Remove the green foliage, add White Embossing Powder to the inked areas, tap off the excess, and heat with the Heat Tool to emboss the sentiment.
Add the Garden Green foliage (the left one tacked down fully with Multipurpose Liquid Glue, the right one tacked down just at the top so the lower sections lift a bit off the surface). Trim any excess.
Stamp and emboss the inside sentiment on the second Sweet Sorbet layer and adhere to the inside of the card.
Add the Real Red layer to the Rose Gold Specialty Paper layer. Attach to the front of the card using Dimensionals.
Embellish the Garden Green foliage with pearls.

A new Kits Collection kit arrived in my expedited order a couple days ago, and I (of course) was motivated to do something a little different with it. So while our house guests from Vienna were in Duluth for the day, I played around with the kit contents to see what I could do to “stretch” the kit. And I’m excited to show you what I came up with.
I just showed live on YouTube and on Facebook about an hour ago step-by-step directions for how to almost double the projects. I was able to get nine Christmas cards with the supplies for five of the tags from the kit by adding some extra cardstock, a pack of envelopes, some ribbon, sentiment images from the Brightest Glow Stamp Set, and some creativity. And now I’m sharing that video here in my blog post.

I wanted to show off every bit of that paper that I could on one card without converting back to an accordion card or my 3-Panel Scenery Z-Fold. So I started looking through my swaps and gifted cards for inspiration. And ta-da!! Thanks to Michelle Carlson’s Joy Fold swap card and a bit of math, I was able to get started.
I made one and then kept going… eventually creating a Joy Fold card with every paper design in the pack. Some are made with one full sheet to keep the beautiful scenery intact. Some are made like a traditional Joy Fold card, using a couple patterns per card. And now if I just create 3 more of each I will have used up my whole pack of designer paper AND I’ll be set with 48 Christmas/winter cards!

I was excited to create these holiday cards this year with the Evergreen Tree Border Punch when I saw that half the patterns in the 2022-24 In Color designer paper looked like snow falling and the other half would work as the ground. Plus those colors are perfect for this festive season…red, green and three different blues! I couldn’t share these cards earlier because these were the ones I sent out to those in my Stampers With ART Community. Hopefully everyone in my group has received theirs by now. I’m also crossing my fingers that I sent each person a color they love.
Now…I love them all! But I personally think that ALL the colors in this collection are amazing. These cards feature Sweet Sorbet paired with Cherry Cobbler Cardstock, Orchid Oasis paired with Starry Sky Cardstock, Starry Sky paired with Highland Heather Cardstock, Tahitian Tide paired with Pacific Point Cardstock, and ParakeetParty paired with Garden Green Cardstock.

Measurements for each card…
Base Cardstock
4-1/4” x 11″ scored parallel to short side at 2-3/4″ and 5-1/2”
Scrap for punching a set of trees
2022-24 In Color Designer Paper
2” x 3” with snow pattern
2″ x 3″ with striped pattern
Basic White Cardstock
(2) 3-1/8″ x 4-1/4”
1-3/4″ x 2-3/4″
Scrap for punching a set of trees
White Glittered Organdy Ribbon
12″
Directions
Stamp the sentiment onto the 1-3/4″ x 2-3/4″ white piece.
Emboss one of the large white pieces. Add the designer paper to the other one so you form a 1/16″ border along all four sides. Don’t worry about the space between the designer paper layers. This will create the image of a snowy ground and can be thick or thin.
Punch a set of four trees from the colored cardstock and the white cardstock. Glue them to the designer paper layered piece so they are right justified. Tie on the ribbon around the bottom half with the knot positioned off to the left. Angle trim the ends.
Fold the card base piece to form a z-fold. Add the embossed white layer about 1/8″ from the bottom. Add the sentiment piece in the middle of the embossed piece using Dimensionals.
Fold the card base shut and add the tree/designer paper layer so it sits in the the middle of the folded shut card (remember to add the adhesive only to the upper side of the back).
Finish by adding embellishments (stars, snowflakes or anything shiny and flat). I used the Adhesive Backed Stars but these have already sold out from the departing July-December 2022 Mini Catalog in the US.
Not only are these z-fold cards, but they can prop up as easel cards, too!
I used the In Color Markers to sign the cards, too. I love that everything coordinates! Of course, coordination is one of the beautiful things about Stampin’ Up! products.

Here’s a quick and festive holiday ornament you can make with 13-14 strips of 1″ x 6″ designer paper and about 13″ of pretty coordinating ribbon. (The products I used are listed below and inked to where you can find them in my online store.)
