I made another version of Wednesday’s coffee cup/coffee beans card AND another version of my Bird’s Eye View Birthday Card that I shared back on June 12th. Below I’ve included a few tips and pointers for these other versions, but you can find the main details for these cards on the two original posts.

I actually had this second version of the coffee card ready to share on Wednesday… but forgot! It’s a side view instead of an aerial view of the cup.
In fact my supply lists that day originally included the two extra punches needed for this version. And when I finished my Live video I slapped my forehead and sighed. And then I got right to work updating the supply lists on my videos (YouTube & Facebook), my PDF, and my blog post. My apologies to you if you got the first supply list and were confused by the Ladybug Builder Punch and Cloud Punch.

Basic White Thick Cardstock
4-1/4” x 11” scored parallel to short side at 5-1/2”
4” x 5-1/4”
Scraps for stamping and punching leaves and coffee beans
Early Espresso Cardstock
3/4″ x 4″
2″ circle
Distressed Gold Specialty Paper
½” x 1”
2″ x 4″ for punching side-facing cup
2-3/8″ circle
Scrap for punching handle
The only thing different from the card I shared on Wednesday is the cup on the front that is side-facing. To make this use the 2-3/8″ Circle Punch and punch from the 2″ tall Distressed Gold Specialty Paper. This will give you a flat top and bottom. For the handle punch the narrowest part of the Cloud Punch about 3/4″ into the edge of a scrap of Distressed Gold Specialty Paper. Then insert the abdomen of the Ladybug Builder Punch so it surrounds the punched out area from the Cloud Punch and punch to form the cup handle. Stamp and emboss the sentiment onto the Early Espresso strip. Punch it out with the 2-3/8″ Circle Punch. Assemble the cup as shown and add to the card front with Dimensionals.
(On the inside is the same size aerial view cup as my original card.)
So now the question… Which of the cards do you prefer: the one with the side view I shared today or the one with the aerial view I shared on Wednesday? I’m leaning towards the side view. (Here they are side by side.)
Here is the 2nd version of my Bird’s Eye View Birthday Card that I shared back on June 12th
I needed more birthday cards. And I needed them quickly. So instead of creating something completely new, I just made more of a card I already loved. I ran out of the designer paper I used on the first version though, so I changed that out which lead to me changing the card base color, balloon color, and embellishment color. The directions from the June 12th card remain the same though.

I used Lost Lagoon Blends Markers to color the balloon and a Crushed Curry Stampin’ Write Marker to color the beak. The Pretty Peacock Sequins are the embellishment on the front.

I love the Missing Middle cards and wanted to try a horizontal/landscape version using the Cheerful Daisies dies as the connecting pieces. If you’ve never made Missing Middle cards, they are super easy. I can’t wait to share with you!

The Bird’s Eye View stamp set caught my eye right away and was one of the first purchases I made in early May. Did you get this stamp set yet? It’s adorable!
I needed to make a birthday card. So I paired a few images from this set up with the Masterfully Made Designer Paper.
And what fun paper this is! (Another one of my new favorites.) I love that many of the designs look like a bunch of torn and layered papers.
Because the torn papers that make up the designs have a white core, Stampin’ Up! is also currently offering a coordinating set of “one-color” papers each with a white core. This way you can tear the papers yourself and make them match the look of the designer papers.
Here is my card I put together. I used Azure Afternoon cardstock for the base. And I extended the front of this base piece a bit with some of the white-core paper in the same color. Then I covered up where these two Azure pieces overlapped with the 2″ wide strip of designer paper.
It’s a fairly simple card to put together.

Azure Afternoon Cardstock
5-1/2″ x 6-5/8″ scored parallel to short side at 4-1/4”
Basic White Cardstock
4” x 5-1/2”
1-1/4″ x 2-1/2″
White Center 12×12 Specialty Paper (Azure Afternoon)
1″ x 5-1/5″
Masterfully Made Designer Paper
2” x 5-1/2”
Tips/Directions…
After cutting all the pieces above, tear lengthwise along one edge of the Azure White Center paper to expose the white core. Adhere this piece so it extends the front part of the card to about 2-1/2″.
Insert the larger white cardstock so that the left edge connects with the fold of the card. Keeping the card closed stamp the bird about 1-1/2″ from the bottom and centered in the exposed white area.
Pull the white cardstock layer out. Stamp “birthday” so it looks like the bird is standing on the last letters. Stamp the glasses. And then stamp the monocle coming off the left wing to look like a balloon. Color in the balloon and the beak.
Adhere this white layer. Adhere the designer paper strip.
Stamp “happy” on the smaller white strip so the word is off the right just a small bit. Add with Dimensionals.
Add sequins for balance and a bit of sparkle. And that’s it!

This time I left out the ribbon but added in a few more tools: the Double Oval Punch, the Basic Black Stampin’ Write Marker (for the ellipses and the balloon strings), the Lemon Lolly Ink Pad, and the Charming Sentiments Stamp Set.

Base Cardstock (Petal Pink, Lemon Lolly, or Pool Party)
3″ x 9″ scored parallel to short side at 3″ and 6″
Zoo Crew Designer Paper
Image that is die-cut or cut with a scissors (one or two)
Basic White Cardstock
2-3/4” x 2-3/4” (one or two)
2″ x 2-3/4″ (for the alligator card)
Other Cardstock (Lemon Lolly, Basic Black, Lemon Lime Twist, Petal Pink, and/or Pool Party)
Scraps for die-cutting accent images
Directions
Die-cut the animal image/s and coordinating shapes.
If making the raccoon card, either place the balloons on top of the last white layer. Or cut balloons into the white layer and add the pink and blue ones into those spaces.
If making the alligator card, cut the Lemon Lime Twist “grass” (and the Basic Black behind it) to about 4-1/4″ long. Then cut it into a 3″ wide section and a 1-1/2″ wide section,
If making the skunk card, fussy-cut the group of trees and stamp and punch the sentiments (cut the second one in half).
Position images and cardstock layers onto opened card base. Stamp any other sentiments/images. (I stamped Lemon Lolly confetti on the raccoon card.)
Adhere the animals with Dimensionals and everything else using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
Add the ellipses or the balloon strings with the Black Stampin’ Write Marker. Or embellish with pearls.
And remember…these are small cards that fit into our 3×3 envelopes.

I’ve been a little busier than normal as I’ve been preparing for my Layering Leaves Class To Go. But I just have to share some creative inspiration with all of you. So today I thought I’d show you a card that was made by my friend and fellow demonstrator, Luanne Peterson.
Gorgeous, right!?
She made it with the Cheerful Daisies Bundle debuting 5/2/23. AND she actually made nine of these cards because she donated them for the prizes for our recent Stampers With ART team event. Just think of all the time put into that.
Aren’t these layering dies amazing? All three flower layers started out white. But on the bottom two layers she added the pink and yellow inks. Under all that are the green foliage die-cuts from these dies and from the Timeless Arrangements dies. Then all of this is atop a Cane Weave embossed Smoky Slate layer with a Bubble Bath Countryside Corners frame cut out in between.
Luanne also featured two new colors (Bubble Bath & Lemon Lolly) and two returning colors (Lemon Lime Twist and Berry Burst). Can you spot them?

LAYERING LEAVES CLASS THROUGH THE MAIL The new 2023-24 Annual Catalog debuts May 2nd. And in it (on page 96) you will see my Million Dollar Achiever stamp set, Layering Leaves!! In less than 3 days my class (that will include the option to add in an autographed copy of the stamp set) sold out with over 300 registrants. I was blown away. Last summer my friend and fellow demonstrator, Linda Lancaster and her husband Butch hosted my family on one of the nights of our big road trip that we took out East in June. I was so excited to finally meet her in person and see their beautiful area where they lived in the mountains. We were spoiled by their gifts, great food, and warm hospitality…such a great time!
Included in the gifts was a card that Linda gave me with a big flower on the front.
It’s a very pretty card and I’m excited to say was the inspiration for the card I’m sharing with all of you today.
I just showed live on YouTube and on Facebook about an hour ago step-by-step directions for how to fold paper circles and assemble this large Paper Dahlia. I use some of the new 2023-24 Stampin’ Up!® product that will debut on May 2nd: the Bright & Beautiful Designer Paper, the Layering Leaves Stamp Set, and a few brand new AND returning colors.And now I’m sharing that video here in my blog post.
