Last month I shared Tucked Insert Fun Fold cards that I had designed and made for gifts and swaps. I shared the measurements, supply lists, photos, and instructions in my how-to video. But within that video I also improvised and put together another card with that same fold using upcoming new products including two ephemera packs: Fully Flowering Ephemera and Saying Something Ephemera.
So now that we are less than two weeks away from the start of the new catalog and these new products releasing, I am sharing with you the measurements, supply list, and photos for that ephemera card. PLUS I created one more version with similar supplies but using different papers and cardstock. I hope these cards inspire your creativity and give you a peek at what’s available soon!
Below are the still photos, measurements & more for the ephemera pack version of the card that I shared in my video AND for my newer card.
Products I used… See below for lists of supplies. Some of them are linked to where you can find them in my online store. The others are not available until May 1st. But I have provided their product numbers for your reference.
Measurements…
Basic White Cardstock
4-1/4” x 12” scored in from each end at >4-1/4” and 3-1/4”
1-3/4” Circle
Unbounded Beauty Designer Paper (colorful floral)
4” x 4”
2-3/8” x 4”
Unbounded Beauty Designer Paper (Summer Splash texture)
(2) 3/4” x 4”
Unbounded Beauty Designer Paper (Summer Splash print)
3” x 4”
Petunia Pop Bordered Ribbon
14”
On this card, be sure to add the 1-3/4″ diameter circle first and then add the main flower to it with a Dimensional.
I didn’t add inside imagery or wording, but you certainly could. Remember to add “bling” in the center of your main flower, too!
Here is the other card I put together using the same two ephemera packs. This one has a Texan feel to me. 🤠 Maybe I was influenced by attending OnStage there.
Measurements…
Pecan Pie Cardstock
4-1/4” x 12” scored in from each end at >4-1/4” and 3-1/4”
Basic White Cardstock
4″ x 4-1/8″
Oxidized Copper Specialty Paper
(2) 3” x 4”
White Diagonal Trim
14″
Shy Shamrock Bordered Ribbon
14”
My layers are a little different, but that’s because I didn’t use a designer paper pack with lots of designs and my card base was a darker color.
Supplies used…
Fully Flowering Ephemera #163762
Saying Something Ephemera #163761
Shy Shamrock Bordered Ribbon #163787
Petal Pink & White Diagonal Trim Combo Pack #163417

The cards I’m sharing today are alternates that I created with a set of card supplies from a past Paper Pumpkin kit, Bouquet of Hope. Now that’s a blast from the past, right?! I had 17 refill kits of this February 2021 kit, and each refill kit contained supplies for 3 sets of 3 kit cards. So with 17 times 3 giving me 51 sets of supplies, it became the make-n-take products for my April 13th Kit Together event!*
Of the 50 that registered for the event, 37 were able to attend the Live Zoom gathering this past Saturday. Attendees worked on kits they had on hand. I also demonstrated (gave instructions, tips, and measurements for) these 7 cards shown below from the Bouquet of Hope make-n-take materials they each received from me. And there were prize drawings at the end. It was a super fun event. I’m excited to host another possibly in June or July.*
The instructions, tips, and measurements are exclusive for those that attended the event. But here are photos of the cards I demonstrated to give you a little creative inspiration today. Each card shown has a couple variations. Can you see the slight difference in each?
The cards above and below required some careful cutting of the two gold foil pieces.
Cutting the gold doily correctly will allow for more gold foil so you can create a strip.
I’m sharing two versions of each because I didn’t want my kit class participants to have to own a lot of extra supplies.
They only really needed white cardstock, white envelopes, a stamp set with small sentiments, black ink, and some adhesives and basic tools. Embossing and extra embellishments were optional.
This last card wasn’t my favorite with the white layer behind. But I thought I’d share it anyway. I think it looks better with the vellum layer alone. Oh! And maybe a couple Brushed Brass Butterflies would look good too. I should’ve added those to the vellum-only version. Oh well.
The stamp set I used on several of the cards was Timeless Arrangements (which is retiring soon). It’s a great set with lots of small word images. I highly recommend getting it before it sells out or is gone for good on May 1st (along with all the other last chance products).
*And if you’d like to take part in my next Kit Together, make sure that you are subscribed to my newsletters so you will be the first to get notices. This April class literally filled up within two days. I didn’t even have time to share about it here on my blog.
Though this post didn’t share the details of these cards, I hope you got some creative inspiration AND will consider signing up for one of my future Kit Togethers. Thanks for stopping by!

Thanks for checking into today’s post. It’s a little unique. First of all I’ve inserted a link to my Show-n-Tell Live which is happening OR has happened (depending on when you are reading this) at 11 AM Central Time. Click here (or on the video link image below) to check that out.
But then to end the Live, I explain what “card candy” is and I share tips for making these cards shown below. I don’t have all the details written down here, but you can get the helpful information through the video.
Oh! And if you are reading this right away, I invite you to tune in at 11 AM so you can join in and comment on the Live and be a part of the fun!
This first card is featuring the Textured Floral Stamp Set and coordinating Textured Floral Dies. These are not retiring, but the bundled savings will be no longer come May 1st.
A few of the colors in the card candy portion of the card however ARE retiring. The blue inks I used are Starry Sky, Orchid Oasis, and Tahitian Tide – 3 of the 5 out-going 2022-24 In Colors. I also used Starry Sky cardstock for the sentiment strip and Iridescent Rhinestones to embellish – both also leaving. (Below you will find shopping links the products I’m mentioning.)
This second card candy was assembled following the same rules. I used the Layered Florals 3D Embossing Folder accented with “tapped on” Wink of Stella and embellished with Iridescent Foil Gems. None of those products are retiring. But the sentiment image and the leaf accenting underneath from the Timeless Arrangements Stamp Set and Timeless Arrangements Dies are. The label comes from the Hot Air Balloon Dies.
Here is the finished card. And all I did was add it all to Gold Foil that was mounted on the front of a Wild Wheat card base.
Here is the third and final card candy I shared. As I mentioned in my video I had the ship pieces and the waves cut out a LONG time ago. It was time to put them together and find them a home which is really the essence of card candy…putting the top pieces of the card together first and THEN adding it all to a card base.
Ta-Da! A big thanks to the Fresh As a Daisy Designer Paper (retiring) which provided the perfect easy peasy background.
I layered that onto my Basic Gray card base, added my already-assembled ship & waves, and then stamped birds on the front and the inside sentiment.
The On the Ocean Stamp Set & On the Ocean Dies are retiring, too. So if you want it, scroll down to click on product links below so you can go shopping and place an order. While you are there, be sure to look at all the last chance/retiring products, too. It always makes me sad when someone reaches out to me afterwards, and they’ve missed out on something they really wanted. So please be sure to take a peek. Some last chance/retiring products are on sale too!

Have you seen the adorable Frog & Friends Kits Collection Kit? It’s a kit that creates three different classic cup-and-ball games – two of each, and it was developed with kids in mind. Well, the characters are stinkin’ adorable. So I had to get it to see if I could turn the supplies into cards. And I’m proud to say I did just that.
I just showed live on YouTube and on Facebook about an hour ago step-by-step directions for creating pocket cards with this Frog & Friends Kits Collection Kit, a bit of extra cardstock, some envelopes, and other coordinating Stampin’ Up!® tools and supplies. And now I’m sharing that video here in my blog post. Be sure to watch the video by clicking here (or you can just click on this image below if you are already on my blog post), scroll through the close-up photos that follow, check out the measurements & products list below, and then let me know if you have any questions.
Products I used… See below for a complete list of products linked to where you can find them in my online store.
Click here to access and download a printable “measurements & supplies” sheet.
Measurements of extra cardstock per card…
Basic White Cardstock
2-1/2” x 3-1/4”
Scrap for punching 3/8” circle (for shark and fish cards)
Basic Black Cardstock
2-5/8” x 3-3/8”
Scrap for punching 1/4” circle (for shark and fish cards)
Here are photos of the finished cards. This frog one was the easiest to make and worked well with the folds that were already in the frog body.
The shark card was also fairly easy to make, but required an adjustment with the tail and the back eye.
The fancy fish one probably needed the most adjustments. The tail is a bit shorter to fit the envelope, too. But I think it still looks pretty darn cute.
I hope you enjoyed what I shared today!
