Back on August 10 I shared some cards and little treat bags that I made with the Come Sail Away Memories & More Card Kit. At the end of my video (found in that post), I shared a peek at those same treat bags made with the Magnolia Lane Memories & More (M&M) Card Kit. And then I never posted photos of them! So I made a couple more and thought I’d share all four of them with you today.
Here are the ones that I shared before. These sweet little treat containers measure about 3″ x 1″ x 1-3/4″ when opened. They would be great as favors for a summer party, shower or wedding.
Products I used… See below for a complete list of products linked to where you can find them in my online store.
Measurements…
- Large card from the Magnolia Lane Memories & More Card Pack
- 6” x 4”
- score parallel to the short edge at ½”, 1”, 1-1/2”, 3-1/4”, 3-3/4” and 4-1/4”
- score parallel to the long edge at 1”
- 6” x 4”
Directions…
- After scoring, trim as shown and crease along the score lines.
- Add a strip of Tear & Tape Adhesive on the bottom left tab (this is the side of the container that will be on the inside).
- Flip over and add Tear & Tape Adhesive on the two bottom narrow tabs and along the section that will connect the sides of the container.
- Form the container, by connecting the side flap first. Then close in the bottom narrow tabs followed by the wider tabs.
- Pinch the sides to finish the look of the container.
On this one, I used the Take Your Pick Tool to pierce a hole through the middle. Then I used a needle threader to bring my ribbon through.
I brought the ribbon just around one side and tied a bow in the front.
On this one I pierced a hole on the side, and used a needle threader to bring the twine through. Then I created a double-sided tag by sandwiching the twine between two floral stickers in the card pack.
I filled it with shreadies and then with candy.
Do you like how I called them M&M Bags in my blog post title? Sometimes it’s just easier to abbreviate Memories & More. But I didn’t mislead you, because I really did put M&M candies in them. They are the perfect size for these kind of treats! ?
The one above contains coffee flavored M&Ms. The one below contains mint flavored ones.
Yes, I sorted through the bags to get colors that matched. But did you know you can get M&Ms in a color of your choice!? It’s true. Our local Party City party supply store carries them. And you can order them online.
