I tell you, I can NOT put this pretty paper down. The Shimmer Detailed Laser-Cut Paper should be in your stash if it’s not already!

You can use it as a layer, an accent, a frame, or an embellishment on your cards and other paper crafting projects. Click here and here to see some cards I’ve shared recently on my blog that feature this paper.

Today I’m sharing a couple MORE cards I made with this fun paper paired with the Perennial Essence Designer Paper (as a background). They are both fairly simple to make. Here is the first one.

Measurements:

• Very Vanilla Cardstock
  • 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ scored in the middle at 4-1/4″ and folded in half for the card base
• Shaded Spruce Cardstock
  • 5-3/8″ x 4-1/8″
• Pool Party Cardstock
  • 3-3/4″ x 5″
  • 4″ x 2-3/4″ for the inside
• Night of Navy Cardstock
  • 3-5/8″ x 4-7/8″
• Perennial Essence Designer Paper
  • 4-3/4″ x 3-1/2″
• Shimmer Detailed Laser-Cut Paper
  • Scrap to cut out a floral piece
  • Scrap to cut out a set of leaves for the inside

Directions:

• Cut out the flower that you desire from the larger “all-floral” sheet of Shimmer Detailed Laser-Cut Paper. Sponge Multipurpose Glue on the back (on the white side), and then adhere to the Perennial Essence Designer Paper. Trim off any excess extending beyond.
• Cut out the leaf cluster that you desire from the larger “all-floral” sheet of Shimmer Detailed Laser-Cut Paper. Add the 4″ x 2-3/4″ piece of Pool Party to the inside of the card while tucking in the leaf cluster so it’s coming out the upper right.

• Adhere all the other layers in order on the front of the card: Shaded Spruce, Pool Party, Night of Navy, and the designer paper layer.
• Embellish with a few Holiday Rhinestones.

My second card is made with the double dandelion framed section of the Shimmer Detailed Laser-Cut Paper. I flipped it over so the shimmer was down and the white was up. It just worked better for this card layout in my opinion. And it made the card seem brighter.

Measurements:

• Whisper White Note Card
  • 5″ x 7″ scored at 3-1/2″ and folded in half for the card base
• Pool Party Cardstock
  • 5/8″ x 3″ scrap for stamping and punching the sentiment
• Night of Navy Cardstock
  • 3/4″ x 3″ scrap for punching the sentiment layer
• Perennial Essence Designer Paper
  • 5″ x 3-1/2″
• Shimmer Detailed Laser-Cut Paper
  • 5″ x 3-1/2″ framed double dandelion

Directions:

• Sponge Multipurpose Glue on the back (on the vanilla shimmer side) of the Shimmer Detailed Laser-Cut Paper, and then adhere it to the Perennial Essence Designer Paper. Add this to the front of the note card.
• Stamp sentiment towards the right end of the Pool Party strip. Then punch it out. (Notice in the photo below what section of the punched area this sentiment piece is coming from.)

• Add this sentiment to the Night of Navy punched piece. Then adhere to the lower left of the card, and trim off any excess.
• Embellish the dandelion centers with a few Holiday Rhinestones.
