One of my favorite bundles in the upcoming 2017 Holiday Catalog that debuts on September 1st is on page 25. It may not stand out to you at first, because there are so many other wonderful products in this catalog and it's not featured in any of the suites. But if you are a fan of music, you see all the beautiful images and coordinating dies in this bundle, AND then you consider the Merry Music Specialty Designer Series Paper that you can pair it up with on page 13, you will fall in love too!
Here are two "sister" note cards that I fancied up with these products. I've included measurements, directions and a product list for each card below. Note: The products from the Holiday Catalog will not be available until September 1st, so those are listed separately above the other products.
Measurements for the French Horn Card:
Whisper White Note Card cut down a bit or Whisper White Thick Cardstock: 7" x 4-1/2" scored at 3-1/2"
Basic Black Cardstock: 4-1/4" x 3-1/4"
Merry Music Specialty Designer Series Paper: 4" x 3"
Silver Foil Sheet: 3" x 3"
Bermuda Bay Cardstock: 2-1/8" x 3/4"
Silver Metallic-Edge Ribbon: about 2"
Basic Black Shimmer Ribbon: about 2"
Directions for the French Horn Card:
Sponge the designer paper with Bermuda Bay ink. (Use a circular motion to apply the ink so the color is smooth.)
Attach the designer paper to the Basic Black cardstock.
Trim ends of Bermuda Bay cardstock strip and the two ribbons as shown. Attach them to the upper right corner of the designer paper piece. Trim the overhanging ends and attach this all to the front of the Whisper White card base.
Die-cut the French horn and attach to the card with Mini Dimensionals.
Whisper White Note Card cut down a bit or Whisper White Thick Cardstock: 7" x 4-1/2" scored at 3-1/2" & 1/2" x 3-1/2"
Bermuda Bay Cardstock: 4-1/8" x 3-1/8" & 5/8" x 3-1/2"
Merry Music Specialty Designer Series Paper: 4" x 3"
Silver Foil Sheet: 2-1/4" x 1-1/4"
Multipurpose Adhesive Sheet: 2-1/4" x 1-1/4"
Silver Metallic-Edge Ribbon: about 3"
Directions for the Treble Clef Card:
Attach the 4-1/8" x 3-1/8" Bermuda Bay cardstock to the Whisper White card base at an angle.
Attach the designer paper on top of that as shown – straight up and down and centered. It helps to ignore the angled Bermuda Bay piece underneath.
Add the Multipurpose Adhesive Sheet to the back side of the Silver Foil Sheet.
Die-cut the treble clef from the Silver Foil Sheet, peel off the adhesive backing sheet, and attach the treble clef to the upper right corner of the designer paper.
Trim end of Silver Metallic-Edge Ribbon as shown. Attach it at a slight angle across the lower portion of the card coming off the the right edge. Trim the overhanging end.
Stamp the sentiment on the Whisper White strip. Attach this to the Bermuda Bay strip. Add to the card so the ribbon will peek out on top.

Product Shares coming for the
New 2017 Holiday Catalog
I'm planning new product shares (ribbons, paper, etc.) for the upcoming holiday catalog that debuts September 1st. I'll have the 2017 Holiday shares all planned out with information & sign up opportunities soon. So watch for that information here on my website and in my newsletters!
A new stamp set from the 2017 Holiday Catalog is being made available a month early…August 1st (and in fact is available now as a part of a bonus gift pack to anyone who gets the Starter Kit this month in July). So I thought I would introduce it to you with the help of many of my fellow Stampin' Up! demonstrator friends in our Carols of Christmas Blog Hop. See what I have to share, then check out all the other blogs in the hop to see even more creative ideas that we came up this Carols of Christmas stamp set and coordinating set of dies!
This card (that I created this afternoon) was super simple to make.
In fact it was so simple that it could easily be duplicated over and over again for a set of 2017 Christmas cards. If you wish to recreate it, here is some information that will help you out.
Measurements:
Cherry Cobbler Cardstock (base of card): 11" x 4-1/4" scored at 5-1/2" & 2-1/4" x 2-7/8"
Early Espresso Cardstock: 5-3/8" x 4-1/8"
Old Olive Cardstock: scraps for die-cutting trees
Metallic Copper Thread: about 20-30"
A Few Tips:
Emboss Early Espresso cardstock with the Pinewood Planks embossing folder.
Die cut trees from Old Olive cardstock scraps.
Stamp Cherry Cobbler cardstock with "Deck the Halls" image using VersaMark ink. Add Copper embossing powder. (Tap off the excess.) Then use the Heat Tool to set the powder and create a beautiful metallic embossed sentiment piece.
Add Fast Fuse to the back side of the Cherry Cobbler cardstock piece and add loops of Copper Thread that peek out in the upper right and lower left corners.
Assemble card using Fast Fuse for the Early Espresso layer and the top left Old Olive trees. Use Mini Stampin' Dimensionals to add the Cherry Cobbler sentiment and the lower right Old Olive tree.
CLICK HERE to download the flyer containing the order numbers for the stamp set, the coordinating thinlits and the bundle of both (if you wish to save 10% by ordering them together).
I hope you enjoyed my card idea. Thanks for visiting! Have fun on the hop.

Stampin' Up!® is releasing their brand new 2017 Holiday Catalog soon, and today I can share with you some of the fun new samples and products I've received from it while we were on the Thailand Incentive trip!
Are you interested in receiving your own copy? 🙂
If you wish to receive a complimentary copy in August, please let me know now. Those that ordered at least $75 worth of product from me between March 1, 2017 and July 27, 2017 (today) will get one at no cost. If you didn't order at least $75 worth and you live too far from me to come pick up a copy, then I just ask that you pay the shipping costs. But I'd love to know how many to order, so please let me know ASAP if you wish to get one.
I've been dying to share all the pillow gifts & prizes we got while we were on the Thailand Incentive trip! They include products that will be available to purchase in this Holiday Catalog. Fun, fun, fun! I took a photo each day on our trip of the fabulous goodies I got. The night we arrived (late Sunday) there was a beautiful basket of fruit. And then these were the items I was gifted each of the following days.
On Monday I received the Holiday Catalog, the Merry Little Labels stamp set, the Everyday Label Punch, the Carols of Christmas stamp set, the Card Front Builder Thinlits, the Painted Harvest stamp set, the Painted Autumn Designer Paper (all coming soon), and a polo shirt for my husband.
On Tuesday I received the Christmas Quilt stamp set, the Quilt Builder Framelits, and the Quilted Christmas 6" x 6" Designer Paper (all coming soon) along with a container of Metallics Sequins.
On Wednesday I received the Every Good Wish stamp set, the Merry Little Christmas Designer Paper, the Merry Music Specialty Designer Paper (all coming soon), and a huge canvas travel bag.
On Thursday I received the Watercolor Christmas stamp set and the Watercolor Christmas Project Kit (both coming soon) along with a Basics Pack 3 (blues) Washi Tape and an elephant coin purse.
And on Friday I received the Ready for Christmas stamp set, the Christmas Staircase Thinlits, and the 7/8" Striped Ribbon (all coming soon) along with a painted ceramic jar, a starfish beanie animal, a stuffed purple elephant, and a gold elephant necklace.
We were spoiled for sure!
And here are the make-n-takes that I made during this trip. (Yep! We got to stamp too!) I made mine slightly different than how the direction sheets showed. I was sitting with fellow demonstrator Tanja Kolar when I was making this first one, and I fell in love with her more striking version. So this card below is one that I CASEd from her.
Then I did the same thing with my remaining cards and tags…made them different than the samples in the directions. LOL Why not, right?
There are so many more new products that await! Thankfully demonstrators can preorder starting August 1st. You'll want to check out Pinterest for all the fun Holiday Catalog samples that will start to appear online. Of course I will also be sharing some peeks here on my blog, too! And on September 1st, all these products that I mentioned above (and more) will be in my online store and a link to the online catalog will be available.
Thanks for stopping by today.

Christmas in July for new demonstrators!

We are having some friends over to grill and do fireworks tomorrow. So I quickly whipped up these fun treats (one for everyone!) and wanted to share them with you. They were designed the same way as my Ghirardelli treat holders that I made and shared back in September of 2014. (CLICK HERE to view those, get the details on the measurements and see the photos of how they open/close.) I've been saving that project for almost 3 years, because I thought it was adorable. So yay! I finally recreated it with current product. Sadly the Sassy Sayings stamp set that I used to make the ones 3 years ago is retired. But I think this "Let's Celebrate" image from the Confetti Celebrations set works just as great!
I used the Marbled stamp to ink up the base layer of cardstock for each treat. Two of these fit on the stamp at one time, so this step took only 3 inkings per color set.
The color combination for this set below is Marina Mist, Cherry Cobbler and Dapper Denim. I used Marina Mist, Cherry Cobbler and Soft Sky markers to color the insides of the letters. These markers can be purchased in color families, but I just included the Many Marvelous Markers in the product list below.
The color combination for this next set is Real Red, Basic Black and Cherry Cobbler. This time I used Real Red, Pacific Point and Soft Sky markers to color the insides of the letters.
The color combination for this last set is Tempting Turquoise, Real Red and Pacific Point. And I used Real Red, Pacific Point and Tempting Turquoise markers to color the insides of these letters.
To color the rhinestones, I used various red and blue Sharpie® markers. And like last time, I included Ghirardelli chocolates inside. Yum!
I am so excited to present to you the second set of my alternate project ideas I came up with using the contents of the March 2017 Bunny BuddiesPaper Pumpkin kit. I shared the first half last week. Those projects included a Project Life layout, a way to create your own ears for the bunny bag, ideas for changing the color of the bags, a sachet idea, and bunny "bagalopes."
This is what I have for you in my second set of projects (part 2 of 2)…
a couple alternate ideas for the bags (wine bottle sack and a mini purse)
an Easter card idea
an Easter dinner place card
an egg carton treat container
and a bright & cheerful 12×12 traditional scrapbook layout.
Watch the video first to get tips, measurements and directions. Then scroll down to see close-up photos of these projects and a list of extra supplies I used to make them.
Here are close-up photos of the alternate projects that I created from this kit that I shared in the video above. (Click on each picture to see it a bit larger.)
WINE BOTTLE SACK
I made this just for the idea of it. You can certainly make one that's more decorative. 🙂
MINI PURSES
Another quick idea with the bags. Those of you who like to sew may want to stitch the ribbon on instead of just tying it.
EASTER CARDS
EASTER DINNER PLACE CARD
Watching video one for tips on centering/lining up the letters with this alphabet stamp set.
EGG CARTON TREAT CONTAINER
Oh! How I love this sweet bunny box. I'll be making a few of these for Easter time.
And these cartons WILL hold real chicken eggs as long as they are small ones.
12X12 TRADITIONAL SCRAPBOOK LAYOUT
I love the look of the giant flower. When it comes time to add photos, I'll be placing one inside the giant flower, too.
I hope you like what I share or at least gain some sort of helpful tip to use in your own paper crafting projects.

“Bold, vibrant, and artistic—with a little bit of sass,” is how Stampin’ Up! CEO Sara Douglass described the kit she designed for the April Paper Pumpkin. Plus every April Paper Pumpkin kit will include a FREE gift! So fun!!!!
I am so honored to be the special guest this time for the Crazy Crafters Blog Hop! Each person participating in this hop found a project from my blog and used it for inspiration to do another version of it. In the paper crafters' world we call it CASEing. In this hop CASE stands for "Copy And Selectively Edit." Although you may have also heard it defined as "Copy And Share Everything/Everywhere." I am also participating by CASEing one of my own past projects! 😉
Those of you who know me probably aren't surprised that I picked a Paper Pumpkin idea to CASE. hahaha! And I knew when I saw him that this cute little guy had to be revived.
This box is 2" x 2" x 2-1/4". It's the perfect size if you need to make several treats for Easter or just give something small to a special someone. I could also see it as a baby shower favor – just change up the colors to match the decor!
This is the original project I CASEd. You can view more photos of it along with a "how-to" video in my April 5, 2014 post.
I invite you to watch the video in that post to get a few more details in creating this type of box. But I also included here a few step-by-step photos and directions for my newest bunny box.
Measurements:
Whisper White Thick Cardstock: 8-1/2" x 5-1/2" scored at 4-1/4 and scrap for the ears
Sweet Sugarplum Cardstock: three pieces that are 2-1/8" x 1-7/8" and scrap for the ears
Succulent Garden Designer Paper: three pieces that are 2" x 1-3/4"
Sale-a-Bration 2017 Glimmer Paper Assortment (Sweet Sugarplum): scrap for the nose
Succulent Garden 3/8" Ribbon (Sweet Sugarplum): about 10"
Tips/Directions:
Start by making the box base… From the 8-1/2" x 5-1/2" (already scored in the middle) Whisper White piece, trim off 2" from one end as shown.
Punch this 2" x 5-1/2" piece at one end with the Scalloped Tag Topper Punch. Then score the remaining white cardstock as shown: 2-1/4" in from the right and left sides (one of these score lines will already be there) and 1-3/4" in from the top and bottom.
Of the eight score lines that go out from the center square, trim along the 4 that are 1-3/4" in length. Then put Tear & Tape adhesive as shown on one side (middle top and bottom flaps).
Flip the paper over and put more Tear & Tape adhesive as shown on the other side (side top and bottom flaps).
Remove the tape backings and assemble. Bring the middle flaps inward and connect with the outer flaps…first with the ones that only have one strip of adhesive and then with the ones that have two strips.
With the box base done, punch and die-cut more bunny parts…a 3/4" Circle of Sweet Sugarplum Glimmer Paper and four ovals using the smallest of the Stitched Shape Framelits (2 Whisper White and 2 Sweet Sugarplum).
Score the 2" Whisper White bunny at 4" as shown. Stamp the eyes and whiskers.
Add Glue Dots to the underside of the bunny head as shown.
The two in the middle will hold the Glimmer Paper 3/4" circle in place. The other 3 Glue Dots will adhere the folded over bunny head.
Connect the ears pieces.
And then attach to the head.
Flip over and add a couple strips of Sticky Strip at the following measurements.
Attach the Sweet Sugarplum Cardstock and Succulent Garden Designer Paper pieces to the front and side panels of the box. Notice I cut my designer paper pieces from one 5-1/4" x 2" piece so the pattern flows from panel to panel.
When Stampin' Up! expanded into other countries I never dreamed that I would be connecting and making friends with so many wonderful people all over the world. It's the conventions & incentive trips that have physically brought us together, but it's Facebook, other social media and our blogs that have kept us connected.
Kylie Bertucci is one one of those wonderful people that I am so grateful I met. She is such a sweetheart – always willing to lend a helping hand! And I thank her for the fun, new experiences she has brought my way: the incentive trip blog hops, the Tutorial Bundle group, and of course this fun Crazy Crafters hop today.
I also want to send a huge thanks to all the demonstrators that CASEd me in this hop. I was humbled by the sweet things that were said when we were preparing for this event. And as I write this, I am looking forward to seeing which projects of mine inspired all of them AND what they created. Be sure to visit each of these blogs by clicking on the names below. Have fun and let me know what you think!

Product List
Take note that the Retiring Products List will post soon. If not mid-April, for sure by the start of May. And when it does certain products tend to sell out quickly (sometimes even BEFORE the list posts) like the outgoing 2015-17 In Color re-inkers and cardstock packs: Mint Macaron, Cucumber Crush, Watermelon Wonder, Tip Top Taupe and Delightful Dijon. So take inventory now and start making those needed purchases earlier than later.
