I shared my Sending Sunshine RAK (Random Acts of Kindness) cards about a month ago on my blog and on YouTube.
And then I got a request from David, one of my YouTube viewers to make another version of this card…a nighttime scene. So here it is! I actually showed it off the following week in my next Online Paper Crafting Class (around the 9-1/2 minute mark).
Here are some details if you wish to recreate it.

Measurements…
- Shimmery White Cardstock
- 2-3/4” x 2-3/4”
- Black Glitter Paper
- 3”x 6” scored parallel to short end at 3”
- Highland Heather Cardstock
- 2-3/4” x 2-3/4”
Directions…
- Watch the video for sponging and masking tips.
- Stamp the water with Misty Moonlight ink.
- Punch a 1/2″ Circle from a sticky note. Place it on the Shimmery White Cardstock positioned above the water reflection. This will become the moon. Place a sticky note over the stamped water to keep that area from getting inked, too.
- Then sponge on color for the sky…Highland Heather closest to the moon. Misty Moonlight furthest. And Gorgeous Grape in-between.
- Remove the sticky notes. Sponge the lower corners with Misty Moonlight. Stamp the leaves with Tuxedo Black ink.
- Add to the Black Glimmer Paper folded card base. And add the Highland Heather piece on the inside with a stamped sentiment if you wish.
These RAK cards are small and can be easily carried around in your purse, car, or wallet. Pull them out when you want to write a quick thank you or thinking of you note to someone who makes your day a little brighter OR to someone whose day YOU want to brighten. It’s so fun to spread Random Acts of Kindness.
