I love trying new card variations with kits! I created some alternate cards with the Three Cheers for You All-Inclusive Card Kit. As of this morning, the kit was still available in the US Market. But tonight I discovered that the English version of the kit sold out. The French version is still an option, though. OR, if you live in another country, you may be able to still get your hands on this kit in your market. Yes…things in the retiring products lists are selling out quickly. So, I’m still going to share what I created for those of you who have this kit or can still get it. Here are the three alternates I came up with…
I was pretty excited that I was able to make twelve of this card design!
I added a piece of 4-1/4″ x 11″ Whisper White Cardstock for the card base and a 3-1/2″ x 4″ Night of Navy piece for the next layer. Otherwise everything else came from the kit. The top strip (from the kit) is already cut to that size…3-1/2″ x 1″. The bottom strip is from one of the kit card bases and is cut to 3-1/2″ x 3/4″.
I was able to make four of this design.
The card bases are 4-1/4″ x 11″ Night of Navy Cardstock folded in half. The front Terracotta Tile printed/Seaside Spray layer and the Seaside Spray inside layer come from one of the kit cards. I cut the kit card in half through the middle. Then I cut each of those pieces in two parts – the Seaside Spray inside layer is 3″ wide and the Terracotta Tile printed/Seaside Spray layer is 5-1/2″ wide. I felt like the card needed a little more copper, so I added a 1/2″ x 5-1/2″ strip of Copper Foil Sheet across the top.
And I made six of this one.
For each card I added a piece of 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″ Cajun Craze Cardstock for the base. Then I added a piece of 4″ x 5-1/4″ printed envelope liner on top of that. The part of the card that opens is from the kit…the Night of Navy kit card bases that I cut in half.
I’m so glad I was able to get this many cards from the kit. And I still have about 1/4 of the kit left! I hope these ideas inspired your creativity!
