I love the new Perfect Parcel dies! The box you can assemble from the main die has such a unique closure and is pretty darn sturdy.
This past Wednesday I shared tips and tricks for assembling this Perfect Parcel Box using the lightweight Pressed Petals Designer Paper in my Facebook Live Online Paper Crafting class. I embellished it by adding ribbon, a label stamped with a sentiment from the Slice of Happiness stamp set, and a beautiful double-layered daisy with a Perennial Essence Floral Center.
I then uploaded the recorded version of my Facebook Live video to my YouTube channel (since I know not everyone is ON Facebook). Be sure to watch the video (you can just click on this image below if you are already on my blog), check out the products list below, scroll through the close-up photos, and then let me know if you have any questions.
I hope you enjoyed the boxes I shared in this video. Below are measurements and close-up photos for each box that I put together with the Pressed Petals paper.
Products I used… See below for a complete list of products linked to where you can find them in my online store.
Measurements for woodgrain patterned box…
- Pressed Petals Designer Paper
- Two pieces of woodgrain pattern that are 6” x 4”
- Whisper White Cardstock
- Scraps for punching the two daisies
- 2-1/8” x 3-1/2”
- Crumb Cake Cardstock
- Scrap for stamping and die-cutting label
- Pineapple Punch 1/8” Grosgrain Ribbon
- About 21-22”
As I mention in my video, remember not to die-cut both 4″ x 6″ pieces of designer paper at the same time. Doing so adds pressure on the paper closest to the die which can cause the scored areas to cut instead. This box I demonstrated assembling was cut where it should be scored because of this reason.
Measurements for floral patterned box…
- Pressed Petals Designer Paper
- Two pieces of floral pattern that are 6” x 4”
- Whisper White Cardstock
- Scraps for punching the two daisies
- 2-1/8” x 3-1/2”
- Scrap for stamping and die-cutting label
- Blueberry Bushel 1/8” Grosgrain Ribbon
- About 21-22”
The photo below is just a reminder image to guide your dies into your die-cutting machine at a slight angle…not head on.
Stampin’ Blends Markers are great for altering the colors of your Perennial Essence Floral Centers.
And then you can coordinate your punched daisies with the daisies in your designer paper.
I love how sturdy this box is. For this lightweight designer paper it is wise to add a 2-1/8″ x 3-1/2″ piece of cardstock inside at the bottom.
That insert will give it more support and allow you to put LOTS of chocolate on the inside.
