Happy belated Mother’s Day! I meant to share this card with you yesterday. But oops! I forgot to post it.

I LOVED making this card with the upcoming new Perennial Essence Suite of products that will debut in the 2019-20 Annual Catalog June 4, 2019. I didn’t send it to my mom for Mother’s Day (sent this one instead). But after making it, I realized this it would have been perfect.

I actually made TWO versions of this card. The other one is below. I’ll share the details for both.

Measurements…

• Whisper White Cardstock
  • 8-1/2” x 4-1/4” scored at 5-1/2” and folded for card base
  • 4″ x 2-7/8″
• Mossy Meadow Cardstock
  • 4-1/4” x 1/2”
• Perennial Essence Vellum Cardstock
  • Pink scraps for stamping, embossing and punching three flowers
  • Green scraps for stamping, embossing and punching two sets of leaves
• Perennial Essence Designer Paper
  • 2-3/8″ x 4″
• Petal Pink Organdy Striped Ribbon
  • 14″

Directions…

• Stamp the flowers and leaves with VersaMark Ink, emboss with Clear Embossing Powder, and punch out with coordinating punches.
• Using SNAIL and Glue Dots, assemble three pink flower layers, one set of leaves, and the Perennial Essence Floral Center to create the main flower.
• Tie ribbon from the front of the card to the inside. Tie in knot and trim the ends.
• Slide ribbon so it’s about 1/4″ from the bottom edge of the front flap. Then add Glue Dots to the bottom front edge of the ribbon to connect it with this 1/4″ Whisper White bottom edge section of the front flap. Add SNAIL to the Mossy Meadow strip, then attach this to this area where the Glue Dots are.
• Use the assembled flower as a guide (don’t adhere quite yet), then stamp the sentiment to the front of the card. Stamp the other sentiment on the 4″ x 2-7/8″ Whisper White piece.
• Adhere the second set of leaves with a Glue Dot so it’s coming out the bottom left portion of this Whisper White layer.

• Finish the card by adhering the designer paper layer to the inside bottom of the card, the 4″ x 2-7/8″ Whisper White stamped layer to the inside top of the card, the assembled flower to the front of the card, and three Rhinestones as shown.

Here is the second version of this card. I love how just changing the sentiments, colors, and embellishments, this card becomes something so different!

Directions…

• Stamp the flowers and leaves with coordinating ink. Then punch out with coordinating punches.
• Using SNAIL and Glue Dots, assemble three blue flower layers, one set of leaves, and the Clear Faceted Gem to create the main flower.
• Add SNAIL to the Mossy Meadow strip, then attach this to front bottom edge of the Whisper White card base.
• Tie ribbon from the front of the card to the inside. Tie in knot and trim the ends.
• Use the assembled flower as a guide (don’t adhere quite yet), then stamp the sentiment to the front of the card. Stamp the other sentiment on the 4″ x 2-7/8″ Whisper White piece.
• Adhere the second set of leaves with a Glue Dot so it’s coming out the bottom left portion of this Whisper White layer.
• Finish the card by adhering the designer paper layer to the inside bottom of the card, the 4″ x 2-7/8″ Whisper White stamped layer to the inside top of the card, and the assembled flower to the front of the card.

ANNUAL CATALOG NEWS
Due to recent supplier issues (and other factors), Stampin’ Up! will no longer be carrying the current die-cutting machine and trimmer: The Big Shot and Stampin’ Trimmer are retiring. These changes are giving Stampin’ Up! the opportunity to research and explore replacement options. But there will be a gap when we do not have a trimmer or die-cutting machine available.
