I’m so excited to share this fun self-closing box idea with you today! I’ve seen these odd-shaped boxes before, but getting one from my friend/fellow demonstrator, Nancy Reynolds as a gift at OnStage this past November gave me that extra motivation to start making them myself. And WOW!! They are easy! Click here to see the box Nancy made for me. (She CASEd it from the lovely Dawn Griffith. Nancy gave me the deep red one!)

I wanted to share with all of you how to make these boxes using some of our new products in the 2019 Occasions Catalog, so I put together a variety of them and then shared the step-by-steps in my Wednesday Facebook Live Broadcast.
I uploaded the recorded version of this video to my YouTube channel (since I know not everyone is ON Facebook). Be sure to watch the video (you can just click on this image below if you are already on my blog), check out the measurements and full products list below, scroll through the close-up photos of the boxes I presented that day (plus one more!), and then let me know if you have any questions. I think you’ll enjoy what I have to share.
Here are the measurements you’ll need if you plan to recreate the dark pink (Lovely Lipstick) box with the Balmy Blue Organdy Ribbon bow (the one I demonstrated in the video). And below and above are close-up photos of all the ones that I shared in the video plus… one more!

Aren’t these fun!? And they are pretty roomy too!

thanks so much Pam!
I just love this bag and can’t wait to try it and can’t wait for larger version as well. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks Janice. 🙂 It’s a fun one!
You made this look so easy, I’m going to try it. I had hopeed to see the larger box measurements on your blog page, but didn’t see them. Here’s waiting for the numbers for larger box. These boxes are awesome. I’m waiting for my order to get now! I really want to make these boxes. I’ll play with other card stocks and DSP’s until mine get here! Thanks for the share.
I’m posting the larger box tomorrow. Sometimes I run out of time. Hahaha!
