I’m playing with fun fold cards again. (surprise surprise) And I’ve really been into bringing Vellum Cardstock into the mix of those cards. I love the challenge of having transparency in parts to show off the depth of the card while at the same time trying to conceal adhesives. The Silver Elite Retreat invitation I made for Cheryl is one example. And my upcoming project in the March 2020 All Stars Exclusive Tutorials being released tomorrow is another.
This time I made a vellum-based slide-out pocket fun fold using the Lily Impressions Designer Paper, the Under My Umbrella Stamp Set, and Umbrella Builder Punch. Cheryl, my mom and I made the blue version of this card at my Silver Elite Retreat this month. And the purple one became my project for my past Wednesday’s Facebook Live Online Paper Crafting Class.
In my class I also shared tips and tricks for making this card without any adhesive showing AND the differences between this card and ones I’ve made before – what my thinking was when I changed up the measurements.
I uploaded the recorded version of my Facebook Live video to my YouTube channel (since I know not everyone is ON Facebook). And then I was able to share it here in my blog post. Be sure to watch the video (you can just click on this image below if you are already on my blog), scroll through the close-up photos, check out the products list below, and then let me know if you have any questions.
I hope you enjoyed what I shared in this video. Click here to see the slide-out pocket fun folds I made with the February 2020 Paper Pumpkin kit. Click here to see some fun ones that I shared on September 29, 2018. Below are measurements, more close-up photos, and a product list for the cards I demonstrated.
By the way I forgot to mention that I added extra rhinestones on the Vellum in the “It’s Your Day” area of the card. After adding those two rhinestones, I then put glue dots behind them on the other side of the Vellum to connect the Vellum to the Whisper White layer.

My latest Stamp-n-Storage purchase? I love the new 6×7 Storage Pockets. The are great for holding my Magnet Sheets (also from Stamp-n-Storage) which hold my dies.
I store them so I can see the dies from the front. And I store my info sheet (that reminds me of the die set name and the number of dies that came in that set) right within behind the magnetic sheet.
I suppose I could even add labels to the tabs. But I haven’t taken the time to do that yet. Hahaha!
I hope you enjoyed what I shared today!

Thanks

Thanks Marilyn. I store my sets on my shelves behind me. The shelves are visible. but I only own current stamp sets. So you may not see a ton of them. LOL
