I needed to make a bunch of Springtime birthday cards and realized I had a TON of this beautiful Garden Impressions 6×6 designer paper on hand. So I started cutting into it and came up with 3 designs that I’m excited to share with you today.

The designer paper includes colors from the 2018-20 In Color Collection, so I was able to match the ribbons on all three layouts.

Products I used… See below for a list of products I used linked to where you can find them in my online store.

Measurements…

• Base Color Cardstock:
  • 4-1/4″ x 11″ scored at 5-1/2″ and folded in half for the card base
• Garden Impressions Designer Paper:
  • 3″ (or 2-1/2″ on the blue card to accommodate the larger tag) x 5-1/2″
  • 2-3/4″ x 1/2″
• Whisper White Cardstock:
  • 2-3/4″ x 4-1/4″
• Sparkle Glimmer Paper:
  • 5-1/2″ x 1/2″
  • 2-3/4″ x 1/2″
• Ribbon:
  • 7″

Directions…

• Adhere designer paper to glimmer paper using Glue Dots so that the glimmer paper shows just slightly. Then use SNAIL Adhesive to add the larger designer paper/glimmer paper combo to the front of the card and the smaller designer paper/glimmer paper combo to the 2-3/4″ x 4-1/4″ Whisper White Cardstock.
• Attach the Whisper White layer to the inside of the card.
• Stamp the sentiments: on the Whisper White layer inside and on the tag.
• Insert the brad and add the tag to the front of the card using Dimensionals.
• Tie a small bow and add it to the front of the card over the tag using a Glue Dot.
• Then add sequins. (The Gingham Gala Sequins are adhesive-backed, but the Iridescent are not. So those would need to be added with Fine Tip Glue.)

I used the larger tag for this blue card, so I made the designer paper on the front a little narrower. I think this one is my favorite.

This was the first card I made, and then I got smart and used the adhesive backed sequins for most of my other cards. But I have to say that the colors in the Iridescent Sequins coordinate better with the paper.

I glued a sequin onto the brad, too. Hahaha!

These tags are so fun, but they come with pins that I didn’t use. So now I need to come up with a plan for those.  😉
