Valentine’s Day is just a couple days away. So I thought I’d share a couple gifts that I whipped up! These aren’t the traditional red and pink treats, because I based my designs off the the candy I bought: Emoji M&Ms and Haribo Gummy Bears.

The gummy bear pattern from my pack of How Sweet It Is Designer Paper was perfect for my cello bag topper. And because this paper had a nice bright yellow in it, I used that color cardstock along with black for my sentiment layer (to coordinate with my other treat). The sentiment is from our upcoming More Than Words stamp set (available in March).

Valentines for my preteens! I used the Layering Circles and Apron Builder Framelits Dies, How Sweet It Is designer paper, Sweet Cups, the Black/Silver Metallic Striped Ribbon, and the exclusive, limited-time More Than Words stamp set. #stampyourartout #stampinup - Stampin’ Up!® - Stamp Your Art Out! www.stampyourartout.com

These Pineapple Punch and Basic Black cardstock colors were perfect for my large emoji on the top of the Sweet Cup filled with the Emoji M&Ms. And I got the shapes for the mouth and eyes of the emoji from the Apron Builder Framelits Dies.

Tips:

  • Attach the folded over designer paper to the filled cello bag with a couple staples. But staple them in so the smooth part of the staple faces the back. Then cover up the rough side of the staples on the front with the sentiment layer.
  • Wrap and adhere the 3/8″ x 12″ designer paper strip around the cup lid so the ends meet where you want to attach the bow.
