Most of us love chocolate. Right? Well, I found a package of those beautiful Merci chocolates in the store the other day.
And I knew I had to buy them and decorate them up as little gifts. (We haven’t seen these chocolates that often here in the US. But I think more stores are starting to carry them.)
These wraps each have a hidden “stopper” inside, so the chocolates (which are not glued in) won’t fall through.
Measurements:
- Foil Frenzy Specialty Designer Paper: 3″ x 6″
- Crumb Cake Cardstock: 1-3/4″ x 5/8″ scored 3/4″ in at each end
- Coordinating Cardstock: 1″ x 3″
- Gold 1/8″ Ribbon: about 10″
Tips/Directions:
- Wrap designer paper around candy to shape the paper. Don’t crease it.
- Use Fast Fuse on the two ends of one side of the Crumb Cake piece. Fold into an upside-down U shape with adhesive sides out. Attach one end (edge down) to the back bottom edge of the open designer paper 2-1/8″ inches in. Set candy above this U shape piece.
- Then add a bit of Fast Fuse off towards (or along) the right edge of the designer paper, attach a half-piece of gold doily so it peeks out on the bottom right, and fold over the designer paper attaching the other end of the Crumb Cake piece’s edge to the front bottom edge of the designer paper and attaching the designer paper to itself with outer edges flush.
- With a paper-piercing tool, mark two areas where the designer paper can be punched. Remove the candy and punch these two spots with the 1/8″ Circle punch.
- Add ribbon through the holes and tie into a bow. Then insert the candy again.
- Punch coordinating 1″ wide cardstock strip with Everyday Label Punch. Stamp with coordinating ink and attach to the front lower right as shown.
- Give this to someone for the holidays or just to brighten their day.

You’ll need to substitute with another sentiment if you can’t get this set yet, OR…just get the starter kit now so you can have early access to the fun goodies that are ready to debut on January 3rd. wink wink!
