I found out Monday afternoon that the 4-Year Anniversary March 2017 Paper Pumpkin kit that just shipped out to subscribers is called "Bunny Buddies." How fun does THAT sound?! I'm excited and will be awaiting the first peeks of what's inside to show up on the Paper Pumpkin Fan Club on Facebook.
I bet it's gonna be a super cute kit.
Next month's kit sounds fabulous too! Stampin' Up!'s CEO, Sara Douglass designed it! I have a feeling it will reflect her personality: fun and colorful!
So if you missed out on the March kit that just shipped (either you don't have an active account or you aren't a subscriber yet), be sure to get your account set up in time (by April 10th) so you can be in on the fun of the April kit designed by Sara.
To go along with the theme of bunnies, I thought I would share these fun candy pouches I made.
Here is a close-up of the Wisteria Wonder one. They hold those Ghiradeli chocolates (or any other small flat candy) really well.
Notice that the chocolate bunny is shiny? I used the Fine Tip Glue to give it a raised glossy surface.
The white egg is sparkly because I painted it with Wink of Stella. (The product list is below and linked to my online store if you would like to learn more about the supplies I used.)
Measurements:
- Subtles Designer Paper: 6" x 6" for the pouch and scraps for the eggs
- Coordinating color cardstock: 1" x 2-3/4"
- Whisper White Cardstock: scrap for the egg
- Early Espresso Cardstock: scrap for the bunny
- Pompom Trim: about 2"
Tips/Directions:
- Stamp the bunny on the Early Espresso Cardstock scrap, die-cut, and then add a "puddle" of glue from the Fine Tip Glue Pen. Allow to dry.
- Punch a large balloon from the Whisper White scrap and a large and a small balloon from the designer paper scrap. Trim the ends to create an egg shape. Paint the white one with the Clear Wink of Stella. Set aside to dry.
- Punch the colored cardstock strip with the Banner Triple Punch. Then stamp the sentiment leaving a little room to the right for the bunny. Use Fast Fuse and attach the Pompom Trim to the underside bottom of the banner so the pompoms peek out.
- Now create your pouch…
- Position your 6" x 6" Designer Paper in front of you like a diamond.
- Fold the bottom corner up to the top corner and give it a good crease.
- Place your triangle piece on your Grid Paper so the bottom edge of the triangle runs along one of the lines of the Grid Paper.
- Fold the bottom right corner up and over to the left so that looks like this. The edge that used to be on the bottom right is now parallel with the bottom.
- Now to the same with the bottom left corner. The two top edges from those folded in corners should meet up and be parallel to the bottom of the pouch.
- The last step in creating the pouch is to grab the top corner and just pull the front layer forward and down. Secure with a Glue Dot.
- When the bunny and white egg are dry, assemble it all.
- Adhere the eggs to the front first using Fast Fuse.
- Adhere the banner next using Dimensionals.
- Then attach the bunny using Fast Fuse.
- Add the candy and make someone's day. 🙂
I made a bunch of these. In fact this project was one of the make-n-takes that my Stampers With ART stars made during our online team event last month. I sent supplies for two projects in the mail to my demonstrators across the country. And then on the evening of our online event, they could follow along with my instructional videos and recreate the projects.
Above I shared my Wisteria Wonder pouch with So Saffron eggs. This one here is my So Saffron pouch with Wisteria Wonder eggs.
These two are a combination of Pink Pirouette and Wild Wasabi.
My other pink/green combination below is Blushing Bride and Pear Pizzazz.
And these last two are Calypso Coral and Pool Party.
Free make-n-takes for online team events is just another perk to joining my community of stampers. And this is a super great time to purchase the starter kit and join in…up to $229 worth of Stampin' Up! product for just $99 through the end of March!
