I had some time yesterday to create a new card using the January 2016 Paper Pumpkin kit, Cute Conversations. The idea had been floating around in my head all weekend, but I didn't have the time to stamp (lots of birthday celebrating took place) until I had some quiet time to myself again.

Here it is!

I turned one of the banners upside down and added a "flame" to make a candle…instant birthday card! And then on the inside I added stamp images from the March 2015 Paper Pumpkin stamp set.

Here are a few other close-ups.

The candle and flame are attached with Dimensionals. The flame is the wing of the bird from our Bird Builder punch. Fun, huh?!

I made the shine with die-cut Whisper White cardstock and Gold Glimmer paper. (Hint: to attach the white to the gold, use Glue Dots…lots of them!)

And I added these two layers to the card front after rotating & attaching them to each other first.

The last group of embellishments I want to make sure you notice are the sequins peeking out from under the rays of candle shine. These are from the sequin trim in the January 2016 kit. I just separated them from the trim and added them each with a Glue Dot. Yep! You will use a lot of Glue Dots to make this card. LOL (The extra supplies I used besides those that come in the actual January 2016 and March 2015 Paper Pumpkin kits are listed below.)

Then I kept going!

I made a couple other projects using this kit. I was inspired by ideas I saw on Pinterest and I wanted to share them with you all. This first one is super simple, and the only extra products I added were the candy hearts and the bag. I got the idea from I pin from Christine Crutcher.

I love these glassine bags. They come this way with a subtle polka-dot design on them.

The second idea inspired by Pinterest Paper Pumpkin finds are these adorable mini envelope looking candy wraps.

I got this idea from Laura Mellinger's pin. They are just the hearts from the kit folded up and onto themselves, and they are super simple to make!

First score a heart as shown.

Flip it upside-down and stamp your sentiment.

Fold the side flaps in. Add a small, somewhat flat candy in the middle. (I attached mine with a Glue Dot.) Add a Glue Dot to the pointed flap. This will act as the adhesive to secure your wrap shut. And add any embellishment pieces that you may want to have peeking out from the sides.

Close 'er up, and give it to a friend for Valentine's Day!
