These little owls are so gosh darn cute! I found the little ones on Becky Robert's blog (and she saw them on Chiaki Haverstick's blog), and I had to copy them to share as well. We made the little treat holder ones on Saturday during my Stampers With Art team meeting, and they were a big hit. The treat holders open at the top but are sealed with Sticky Strip on the sides. The larger owl is a card that opens from the bottom.

The little owls measure 2-3/4"x4-1/4" (a 2-3/4"x8-1/2" piece folded in half), and the 2-1/2" circle punch creates the curve in the top of the head and the curves in the designer paper to create the wings. The designer paper piece started out as a 2"x2-3/4" piece. The eyes are created using the following punches:
- 1-1/4" Scallop Circle punch
- 1" Circle punch
- 3/4" Circle punch

Here's the "mama" owl (the card). She measures 4"x5/-1/2" (a 4"x11" piece folded in half), and the 3" circle die creates the
curve in the top of the head and the curves in the designer paper to
create the wings. The designer paper piece started out as a 4"x2-1/2"
piece. The eyes are created using the following punches:
- 1-3/4" Scallop Circle punch
- 1-3/8" Circle punch
- 1" Circle punch
All three owls have beaks made with the Small Heart punch. And the mama has feet made with the Boho Blossoms punch.

Many of you have commented on the bunny boxes I posted on February 1st, 2013. So I thought I would give you some step-by-step directions to help you in making a few of your own if you wish.

Start by die-cutting a full Fancy Favor Box from 12"x5-1/4" card stock. Next die-cut a small coordinating designer paper piece (I started with a 3"x4" piece) – this piece will attach to the front of the box, so it only needs to be die-cut from that area of the Fancy Favor die.

Apply a couple strips of Sticky Strip tape to the areas shown.

Assemble the box.

Next die-cut the bunny head using the Top Note die. Score as shown – use the 2-3/4" mark on your paper trimmer as a guide for scoring.

Fold at that crease. The largest section will become the front of the head. Attach the back of the head to the back rim of the box using Sticky Strip. Then fasten the front of the head to the front of the box using a Velcro™ closure. This way the recipient can continue to open and close the box.
Now punch out and attach the ears, feet, tail, tuft of hair, and nose. (I embossed the scalloped circle shapes. Only half of the largest scalloped circle is used for the tuft of hair. I also used a white gel pen to accent the eyes.)

So cute!

My "sister demonstrator," Carol Rosengren brought a bunch of sticker paper to one of our team meetings and shared with us this great idea.

Cover your die with sticker paper. Run your die through the Big Shot to die-cut the sticker paper. Peel off some of the paper leaving the "negative space" alone. Ta-da!
Now you can easily see where you should lay your card stock when you are ready to use your die!! Super cool idea. Thanks for sharing with us, Carol.

Happy Valentine's Day! Today's sample is from the 2013 Leadership Conference in Orlando. It was on one of the display boards, so I can't tell you who made this one. But I love it! And I thought it fitting for posting today.

Ever have one of those days that you wish you could just start over? I'm having one of those right now. I just realized that the watermark on my photos in my previous posts are incorrect! Ugh. I'm so used to my previous blog on my Stampin' Up! website with .net on the end, that I forgot to change that part when watermarking my photos for THIS blog. So then I tried to go back in and edit them, but realized after doing so with one, that I would have to repost them. So instead of changing the other two, I'm just gonna post this one with my updated bunnies photo. I'm new to this blog world, so please forgive me.

Brrrrrr! We've had some bone-chilling days here in Minnesota lately. In fact yesterday at 2 in the afternoon it got up to 1 degree. So thankfully in planning my February What To Give class project, I was able to focus on Spring. And it made me feel a few degrees warmer inside. My club members and class attendees will get to make 3 bunny boxes – great for Easter treats or new baby gifts.

Thank you for the inspiration, Rachel Ricks and Susan Campfield (my fabulous upline) who gave me this cute notebook at the Stampin' Up! Leadership Conference 3 weeks ago.

I think the tail is my favorite part of this box.
