Welcome to our monthly APPT blog hop to showcase Paper Pumpkin kit alternate projects! This time we are highlighting the January 2024 Lovely Lavender Paper Pumpkin kit. See what I have to share. Here are the intended cards/projects designed for this January 2024 Lovely Lavender Paper Pumpkin kit. (Click here for a link to Stampin’ Up!’s how-to video to help you assemble these as intended.)

Today I am sharing…
- A Landscape Card featuring the Love of Spring Dies
- A Valentine Bouquet Card
- AND…Two 12×12 Love-Themed Scrapbook Pages also featuring the Love of Spring Dies
The dies are definitely the “stars” on this first card where I cut the leaves from a scrap of Shaded Spruce Cardstock and the “Love” from a scrap of Blackberry Bliss Cardstock. The only other added product outside of the kit is a sheet of folded 4-1/4″ x 11″ Basic White for the card base. My floral layer is from a card in the kit. I cut it to 4-1/8″ x 5-3/8.” And after wrapping and tying my 32″ of twine, I added that layer with Dimensionals. (The small stamped “WITH” is also added with Dimensionals.) And to give dimension to my leaves I curled them with a Bone Folder before tucking and adding them to the card.

My second card (also with a Basic White card base) involves a bit more stamping. I stamped the inside of the card and the front white strip with stamps from the kit. I also stamped the branch of leaves image a few times on the 4-1/8″ x 5-3/8″ purple envelope paper layer. The color is very subtle because I stamped onto scrap paper once or twice to lighten the ink first. After stamping I added the green leaves, then the purple flowers with Dimensionals, then the sentiment strip. I finished the card by tying on about 12″ of twine to the left stem of the purple flowers.
My scrapbook pages follow the same measurements as the Perennial Lavender Sampler I shared in Wednesday’s Online Paper Crafting Class. Each base Blackberry Bliss square measures 3″ x 3″ and I added them using that 1-1/4″ frame. Check out the video in that post to see how to use the frame for adding these squares.
The floral and/or watercolor purple square layers measure 2-3/4″ x 2-3/4″ and all come from one of the kit card bases. I cut a slit in this one shown below so I could tuck in and attach the leaves (Notice I’m cutting directly on my Glass Mat? I love this thing!).
The green leaves are from the kit, but the purpleish ones (and the “love”) are cut from the Berry Burst Holographic Specialty Paper using the Love of Spring Dies.
For the bouquets I added the bottom floral 2-3/4″ x 2-3/4″ squares with Dimensionals. Then I tucked and attached the green leaves and flowers. OH! I almost forgot. I have 3 groups of green leaves. I got three by cutting the largest one from the kit into two pieces.
