I’m back! And today’s blog post is extra special because it’s a “blog hop” post focused on fun ways to create with my million sales achiever stamp set, Layering Leaves! After seeing what I have to share and reading though my post, click on another demonstrator’s name in the list below to see what they have created. (If you are receiving this blog post by email, click HERE to see links and follow the hop.) Then continue to click on other names to hop from blog to blog and to gather lots of reasons to love this set.
I saw coffee beans in one of the leaves images. And this is the card I created to show that off. (Hopefully you can see the coffee cup?)
Products I used… a complete list of products I used is shown below, and everything is linked to where you can find them in my online store.
I made the coffee beans by first inking up the solid leaves image in Pecan Pie. Then I added Early Espresso ink with a Dauber before stamping it onto the Basic White cardstock. After I punched out the image, I trimmed out each of the beans.
Then I just glued down the individual beans so they formed piles along the edges of the Crumb Cake Cardstock.
If you look closely you can see this card has a Book Binding fold. Everything to the left of the front score line is sealed down. Everything to the right opens up. (Just in case something seems a little off, this photo below actually pairs up with the second version of the card shown further down.)
Before I sealed that left part, I added two 5″ strands of trim and secured it all with Tear & Tape Adhesive as shown.
And then I secured the trim from the top with tiny drops of Multipurpose Liquid Glue placed strategically under certain areas.
One other detail on this card is the aerial view of the coffee cup. (Obviously this coffee has a bit of cream added.) The Early Espresso cup was punched with the 2-3/8″ Circle Punch, and the Pecan Pie coffee was punched with the 2″ Circle Punch. I heat embossed the sentiment with VersaMark Ink and White Embossing Powder. And then I carefully drew along the outer edge of the coffee with the Wink of Stella pen to give it a wet look. I attached the 1″ x 1/2″ “handle” underneath on the right. And then I added it to the middle of the card with Dimensionals.

If you want a “coffee specific” sentiment for this card, consider pairing it with Sandi Rule’s million sales achiever stamp set, Coffee With Friends.
Layering Leaves is a great all-occasion stamp set. There are lots of basic sentiments and lots of fun leaves (that match a punch!).
The images that can be pretty but can also be masculine. They can be playful and youthful or elegant and charming depending on how you ink and color them. And as you may have seen with the teaser graphic for my Class To Go, you can think outside the box and turn those leaves to candle flames.. and coffee beans as you saw today! It’s a stamp set that can be the “star of the show.” Or it can supplement. Grab it when you need a basic sentiment OR when you just want to throw a few leaves onto your card or scrapbook page. If you love to create with kits, this may even become your “go to” set for designing alternate projects. (It was designed with kits in mind.) I could tell you even more reasons to love this set. But it’s time for me to sign off so you can visit another post in our hop.
I hope you enjoyed what I shared!

The leaves used in this card remind me of coffee beans!!! I would have never thought of that usage without your inspiration!!! Now new creative ideas are just flowing! Thank you for sharing all of your amazing ideas.
Hehehe…thanks Julia! So you saw coffee beans too! Too funny.
Wow! Who would have thought to use the leaves as coffee beans! Just wow!
Aww…you are too kind JoAnn. Thanks!
Your “coffee” card is fabulous! So imaginative and using the Layering Leaves stamp to make coffee beans, so clever! You’re amazing at card making, Rachel!!
Thanks so much Debby! I have another version of the card I created the next day. I’ll be sharing that one soon. It has coffee cup stains, too! hahaha
Wow, great imagination! I love that saying. I think it’s my motto 😉 as I sit here with my cup of half caff☕.
Thanks Tina! I have another version of the card that I’ll be sharing soon. It has coffee cup stains on it.
Rachel — WOW! Only the creator of the stamp set would see that — what a great idea and card. I love your stamp set AND the punch that coordinates. I’ve made many beautiful cards with it. Now I can add a coffee card to the mix!
😘 Thank you Mary!
