In 2013 Stampin’ Up!® launched a Color Refresh. In 2018 they launched a Color Revamp. So it makes sense that this is the year for major shifts and changes again in the color families.
Introducing Stampin’ Up!’s 2023 Color Refresh! This chart from SU is a great visual of the new line-up of colors.
This chart appears at the end of this announcement video put out by Stampin’ Up!
Within that chart and video you can see the new 2023-25 In Color Collection.
All of these changes will debut May 2, 2023 in the new 2023-24 Annual Catalog!
Look at some of the fun 2023-25 In Color products that we could preorder as demonstrators!
And look at some of the wonderful products that we could preorder in the new core colors!!
I was live on YouTube and Facebook yesterday and explained all the changes. I shared what colors are leaving, what colors are shifting into different families, what past colors are returning, and what colors will be completely new to the line up. And then the bulk of the video consisted of comparing these entering colors to current and past Stampin’ Up! colors.
My friend & fellow demonstrator, Tricia Josephs was with me in person to help everything go smoothly. It was fun, because we were able to interact and try out comparisons that were suggested by those viewing at the time. A huge thank you to Tricia (who also captured this silly photo of me right before we began recording).
Click here to watch that recording (or you can just click on this image below if you are already on my blog).
A big thanks to all those that were about to join live! Here are a few of the comments that were shared:
adamsrose001 – I was really sad to see some of the retiring colors…until I saw the new colors! I LOVE them!!
Tamara Dennis – Love the way you are explaining these changes, leaving, shifting, etc
Vaye S – hate to date myself.. but when I was in school red was red etc…. lol… amazing the colors now.. love it
A HUGE thank you to Breina Burgin who has generously shared her knowledge and charts with me over the years. She’s one smart cookie when it comes to explaining the relationships of colors. Her 3/31/11 post is a good one to reference with some amazing visuals. And her 4/11/23 blog post has even more detail in it. This is one of her visuals that I had intended on sharing during the live, but forgot.
I hope you enjoyed watching. Scroll through the photos below, and then let me know if you have any questions. Each main color that is being compared is positioned somewhat in the middle of all the others and is marked with a rhinestone. Colors with orange tape are the “currently current” colors. And then there are a few that have covered up rhinestones because I didn’t want to confuse anyone. But maybe that is MORE confusing not seeing them? Sorry.
Because photography doesn’t always capture the exact color, it’s best to view these comparisons in the video to see the cardstock swatches turned and manipulated in the light. The digital color swatches are also good to look at even if some of the colors are off a bit. And of course… purchasing new colors when they become available on May 2nd to see them in person will be even better (wink wink).
How do you get these new colors now like I did and not have to wait until May 2nd? Be on the demonstrator side of things. When you sign up to be a demonstrator, you may add preorder products to your Starter Kit shopping cart. Click here to learn more about the perks of getting the starter kit. And then after you are officially a demonstrator, you can order more preorder product that didn’t fit into your Starter Kit order. 😉 It’s so fun to be able to get these products early! Plus you’ll become a discount shopper. I love not having to pay full price!
Be sure to subscribe to my YouTube channel so you don’t miss when I share in future live broadcasts AND when I post prerecorded videos.
I hope this helps many of you prepare for gathering up any more outgoing colors and/or products (click here to shop retiring products) AND get your wish lists ready for when you can get your hands on some of these new ones!

#APaperPumpkinThing Welcome to our monthly APPT blog hop to showcase Paper Pumpkin kit alternate projects! This time we are highlighting the March 2023 Ten Years of GrowthPaper Pumpkin kit. See what I have to share. Then check out all the other blogs in the hop for additional creative ideas from my fellow Stampin’ Up! demonstrator friends. To follow the hop and see these other creative project ideas, simply scroll down and click on the names of the other hop participants. (If you are receiving this blog post by email, click HERE to see that hop list.)
Here are the cards the kit instructs how to make. (Click here for a link to Stampin’ Up!’s how-to video to help you assemble these as intended.)
I’ve already shared some other alternate projects using the contents of this kit on March 22nd.
Two fun fold cards (a Faux Dog-Eared card and a Tucked Gate Fold card)
And a 12×12 scrapbook page layout
Plus I copied one of the samples on the back of the kit’s direction pamphlet and shared it in my video that day. (It’s much more stunning in the video than on the back of the direction pamphlet.)
Today I am sharing…
A “Happy Spring” home decor banner
It’s been awhile since I’ve made a banner. But I had so much fun with this that I’m hooked!
I used one of each of the kit card bases. I cut them each in half. Then I cut them each in half again – except the two more decorated card front pieces – to get 10 panels. The two larger ones are on the ends of the banner to frame it.
I used a lot of gold trim…4 feet for the main strand that runs through the “loops” on the back of each piece & eleven 3″ pieces to create the knots between each panel. (The “loops” are from the envelope paper.)
Since I didn’t need to mail these pieces as cards anymore, I used the three extra envelopes for die-cutting the S P R I N and G letters, creating some 3/4″-wide mini banners for the top of the “happy” panel, and for making the “loops” on the back of each panel.
They aren’t really loops. I guess they are just folded pieces of paper. But the gold trim runs through them.
Each “loop” is the same width as the panel it’s behind. And they are all 2″ in the other direction folded in half and glued shut just at the ends. Once that’s done, glue the “loop” to the upper back side of the panel.
When you die-cut the letters, alternate them so the colors within the letters will vary. This is how I set them up. After cutting the letters from the envelope flap, cut them from Foam Adhesive Sheets and connect them. OR…better yet. Add the Foam Adhesive to the back of the envelope flap and cut all at once. Hahaha! Wish I would’ve done this. But I didn’t know I was going to raise them up and give them more dimension until after I had already cut them from the envelope flap alone.
I put thin Dimensional pieces behind parts of the gold happy to raise it and give it a bit of shadow. The plant pots on the two outer panels are also added with Dimensionals. I used Multipurpose Liquid Glue to add all the foliage.
The panels with the letters are decorated with gold 1/8″ wide strips cut from the kit scraps that are placed about 1″ from the bottom edges, the letters (of course), leaves (the purple ons from the kit and some punched from the envelope flaps with the Bough Punch), and some Brushed Brass Butterflies.
I couldn’t keep the banner on the kitchen cupboards and moved it down to my office for now. But I’ll find it a home soon. It makes me happy when I look at it!
I hope I inspired your creativity with what I shared today! If you did not get this kit, I hope you can apply these ideas to products you already own.

ALL STAR VIDEO CLASSES I’m a designer with the All Stars, a group of globally recognized Stampin’ Up! demonstrators. CLICK HERE for more information. Click here to get to my Tutorials/Classes for Sale page to see others that have been offered. The next one featuring a new suite from the upcoming 2023-34 Annual Catalog will be available May 1st.
I haven’t done a “One Sheet Wonder” in quite some time. And with the anticipation (and now the confirmation) that the designer paper in this suite would be retiring, I created One Sheet Wonder cards with designer papers AND without.
A One Sheet Wonder is basically a way of cutting a sheet of paper/cardstock (with images) in a way where ALL the pieces become layers to decorate and create multiple coordinating cards. I came up with a pattern for cutting 6×6 paper (the size of the Regency Park Designer Paper sheets) so that the pieces cut create layers for and decorate three different but coordinating cards. And because I was worried that the designer paper pack might sell out soon (or even before I shared in this blog post), I used some stamp images in this suite and made my own 6×6 designer papers to show you my first set of cards.
On the left is an example of stamped patterned paper you could create with stamp images (the one I picked for my finished cards is a bit different) and on the right is how you would cut it (or how you would cut any 6×6 patterned paper) when creating the following card layouts…
I have two other sets of cards to show you that I made with the Regency Park Designer Paper sheets. But let me first walk you through this set of three cards. You can then apply the directions and tips to recreate the other sets or different sets that you want to make with other paper patterns.
Products I used… a complete list of products I used is shown below, and everything is linked to where you can find them in my online store.
Measurements (and tips for cutting)…
Basic White Cardstock (or a sheet of Regency Park Designer Paper)
(3) 4-1/8″ x 5-3/8″ for the inside layers
(3) 2″ x 3-1/4″ for die-cutting sentiment layers
Start with a 6″ x 6″ sheet
Cut off 1-1/4″ from one side and then cut that piece in half to form two 1-1/4″ x 3″ pieces
Rotate the main piece a quarter turn and trim off 2″ to form a 2″ x 4-3/4″ piece
Then rotate the main piece one more time and trim off two 1″ strips to form two 1″ x 4″ pieces and one 2-3/4″ x 4″ piece
Pool Party Cardstock for the card bases
(2) 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ scored parallel to the short side at 4-1/4″
(1) 4-1/4″ x 11″ scored parallel to the short side at 5-1/2″
Pretty Peacock Cardstock
1-7/8″ x 2-5/8″
2-1/8″ x 4-7/8″
2-7/8″ x 4-1/8″
Blackberry Bliss Cardtock
Scraps for die-cutting flowers
Fresh Freesia
Scraps for die-cutting flowers
Directions…
Create your 6×6 patterned paper: Stamp the outline floral images first, then stamp the inside solid images within. I used Blackberry Bliss and Pretty Peacock for my darker colors and had to keep cleaning my outline image stamp and switching colors as I filled in images across the paper. After the outline images were added and everything was spaced well, I stamped all the Fresh Freesia centers first then the Pool Party centers. I added the silver dots after cutting.
Cut the patterned paper using the directions above. Prepare the remaining pieces. Die-cut the flowers, die-cut the sentiment layers, and stamp the sentiments.
Optional…Add super tiny drops of Multipurpose Liquid Glue to fill in the white space of the patterned paper. Sprinkle on silver embossing powder and tap off the excess. Then heat to create the shiny silver dots. The dots of glue have to be almost microscopic. Hahaha! Seriously don’t make them too big, or you’ll have problems when you try to heat emboss.
Stamp and add the inside white layers. Add the patterned paper and Pretty Peacock layers to the outside front. Add the sentiment layers with Dimensionals. Then add the flowers with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
Finally add small rhinestones in or around the die-cut flowers.
I hope you enjoyed those ideas! Now to make it even easier, use pre-printed designer paper. On these two other sets I used paper from the Regency Park pack. Remember…one sheet can accent 3 cards. So one pack can make 144 cards if you really want to go that far.
If you want to recreate these cards below, be sure to grab up the Regency Park paper pack before it retires. You’ll also want to invest in any coordinating colors. Oh! And I used the retiring Mango Melody cardstock for the accent flowers. Refer to the retiring products lists to see what is leaving. And then check out the online store to see if the products you want are still available.
Here are the 3 patterns (from each set) photographed separately.
If you want more One Sheet Wonder patterns for creating cards, check out my team member, Mackenzie Grimme’s site, Mackenzie Makes. She shares One Sheet Wonder patterns these quite often and has wonderful ideas!

It was such a fun experience working with Senior Product Designer Jen Foxley at Stampin’ Up! She took my sketches and suggestions and helped me bring these fun images to life!
Layering Leaves is an all-occasion stamp set that coordinates with one of our “staple” punches, the Bough Punch. Leaves are awesome accents for a wide variety of cards and other paper crafting projects.
If you are looking for more motivation to add it to your collection, stay tuned. I’ll be sharing lots of my creations in future blog posts, videos, and social media posts. I’ll also be offering a class that will include the option to add in an autographed copy of the stamp set. I hope to have that information ready to share about a week or so before the release of the new catalog…so late April.
For now, here is a sample card I put together right away after receiving my copy of the set from Stampin’ Up! a few weeks ago.
I was so in love with a card that Shelli Gardner (the co-founder of Stampin’ Up!) sent me after I reached another sales milestone. And so her card was obviously the inspiration for my version.
Here are details if you want to recreate my version. But take note that Soft Suede cardstock is retiring. So if you love the total look, be sure to order that asap.
Products I used… See below for a complete list of products linked to where you can find them in my online store.
Measurements
Soft Suede Cardstock
5-1/2” x 8-1/2″ scored parallel to short side at 4-1/4”
Distressed Gold Specialty Paper
3-1/4″ x 3-1/4″
Basic White Cardstock
4” x 5-1/4”
3-1/4″ x 3-1/4″
Scraps for stamping and punching leaves
Garden Green Cardstock
1″ x 3-1/4″
Vellum Cardstock
Scraps for punching leaves
Directions
Stamp sentiment on Garden Green strip with VersaMark ink. Add white emboss powder. Tap off the excess, and then heat emboss.
Die-cut 3″ stitched circles from the 3-1/4″ x 3-1/4″ Distressed Gold Specialty Paper & Basic White Cardstock pieces. Cut the white one in half.
Emboss the 4” x 5-1/4” and one of the half-circle Basic White Cardstock layers. Attach the 4” x 5-1/4” Basic White layer to the inside of the card.
Layer the 1/2 circle onto the Distressed Gold circle and add to the center of the card front.
Ink up the large, more solid leaf stamp with Granny Apple Green ink. Use a dauber to add Garden Green ink to the stem and leaf bases, then stamp the image onto a white scrap. Do this twice and punch each of them out.
Use daubers to ink up the Garden Green stems and Flirty Flamingo flowers of the tiny buds image. Stamp the image onto a white scrap. Do this twice and punch each of them out.
Punch a large Vellum leaf.
Attach the larger leaf cluster images (Vellum first) using Glue Dots. Add the tiny buds.
Then add the Garden Green sentiment strip with Dimensionals.
