This card featuring the Irresistible Blooms Stamp Set and Dies (debuting March 1st) is for those who are fans of the color purple. I put it together from the sample pieces that were left over when I introduced this new product on Facebook on February 10th (at the 1:05:15 mark).
The background Highland Heather Cardstock is embossed with another new Online Exclusive product debuting March 1st: one of the Basic 3D Embossing Folders. Measurements
- Basic White Cardstock
- 4-1/4” x 11″ scored parallel to short side at 4″ and 9-1/2” (I folded the bottom portion upward and glued it down. This way all the card layers are level when closed. But you could instead just start with a 4-1/4″ x 9-1/2″ piece and just score it once at 4″.)
- Scraps for stamping and die-cutting flowers and leaves
- Highland Heather Cardstock
- 4” x 5-1/2”
- Gorgeous Grape Cardstock
- Scrap for die-cutting border
Directions
- After stamping and die-cutting the two large flowers, two smaller flowers, two large groupings of leaves, three smaller groupings of leaves, and two of the tiny sets of leaves, use the Bone Folder and give everything a bit of dimension by curling the ends a bit.
- After embossing the Highland Heather cardstock, cut it into two pieces: 4″ x 4″ and 1-1/2″ x 4″.
- Fold the card base and attach the Highland Heather cardstock layers. Then add the Gorgeous Grape die-cut border. (I suggest sponging on Multipurpose Liquid Glue to make the whole back surface sticky.)
- Now add your flowers. Add the three front ones first and only adhere the very center of the flowers with the Multipurpose Liquid Glue. This way the petals still have dimension AND you can tuck your leaves.
- Put Multipurpose Liquid Glue on the base parts of the leaves, tuck them in place, and adhere.
- Add the 4th flower to the inside. Then tuck and adhere the leaves making sure the leaves in the lower part of the flower hang down enough to be visible with the front flowers when the card is closed.
- Tuck and adhere the tiny sets of leaves.
- Apply Wink of Stella to the center of the front three flowers.
- Then add a few Iridescent Pearls.
- Add a few Gorgeous Grape Glossy Dots as the final embellishment. I have two in the upper right and four in the lower left.
