Last week I shared with you two of the cards I created with the printed vellum sheets from the Lovely Layers Vellum. Click here to see the vellum.
As you may recall, there are four printed designs that come in this vellum pack and then a bunch of plain sheets of vellum. All of the vellum sheets are 3-3/4″ x 5″ which is a great size for layering onto 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″ cards.

Today I am sharing my other two cards. These vellum sheets are part of the Botanical Layers Bundle. And just like last week’s, these two cards are paired with patterned paper from the Design a Daydream Designer Paper Pack. (Products I used… See below for a complete list of products linked to where you can find them in my online store.)
Here is my first one.
Measurements…
- Basic White Thick Cardstock
- 4-1/4” x 11″ scored parallel to short side at 5-1/2”
- Scrap for stamping and die-cutting sentiment circle
- Design a Daydream Designer Paper
- 4” x 5-1/4”
- Old Olive Cardstock
- Scraps for punching leaves
- Lovely Layers Vellum (with dots image)
- 3-3/4″ x 5″
- White Glittered Organdy Ribbon
- 8″
Directions…
- Stamp sentiment onto Basic White scrap, then die-cut so this piece is positioned as a diamond. Add Seal Adhesive behind this sentiment piece. Have three sets of leaves punched and ready.
- Adhere the designer paper to the white card base.
- Then position but don’t adhere Lovely Layers Vellum and leaves. Hover the sentiment diamond overtop. Be sure the lines of the designer paper line up with the sentiment diamond shape. Then bring the leaves up one at a time and connect to the sentiment piece making sure the leaves will still be within the boundaries of the card base.
- Add more Seal behind the sentiment layer, line the vellum up on the designer paper again, and add the sentiment/leaves piece to the vellum. Pick up the vellum/sentiment/leaves piece, add more adhesive behind the sentiment layer, and position one more time over the card to attach everything altogether.
- Embellish with the ribbon tied in a bow and a few Iridescent Pearls.
And here is my second card.
Measurements…
- Basis Black Cardstock
- 4-1/4” x 11″ scored parallel to short side at 5-1/2”
- 1″ x 4″
- Design a Daydream Designer Paper
- 4” x 5-1/4”
- Basic White Cardstock
- 4” x 5-1/4” (to go on the inside)
- Scrap for stamping and die-cutting sentiment circle
- Lovely Layers Vellum (with leaves images)
- 3-3/4″ x 5″
- White Glittered Organdy Ribbon
- 2″
Directions…
- Stamp the sentiment and die-cut with the 1-3/4″ diameter stitched circle. Add Dimensionals to the back and set aside.
- Line up the vellum over the designer paper. Adhere the Basic Black strip to the Lovely Layers Vellum. Add the vellum to the designer paper (adhesive should go on the back of the black strip only). Add the designer paper to the card base and add the white layer to the inside.
- Color the ribbon with the Dark Basic Black Blends Marker. Allow to dry. Add about 1/2″ of Seal to one end. Then add the ribbon and sentiment circle to the card.
- Embellish with a few Iridescent Pearls.
