On September 29th I shared a fun fold card with a pocket inside that slides out when you open it – great for holding gift cards, cash, or any other flat gift. Click here to see that card, a couple other versions of it, and to watch my tutorial video for making it.
With Halloween just a little over a couple weeks away (which of course means there is still time to purchase any needed products and whip some cards together!), I thought I’d share two more versions of this fun fold card that I created with the Toil & Trouble Designer Paper and some coordinating products from the 2018 Holiday Catalog.
Products: See below for a full list of supplies linked to where you can find them in my online store.
Here is my first Halloween version of this fun fold card.
To get the web look in the background, I adhered four web die-cuts from the Cauldron Framelits Dies collection just under the witch. (I cut them from Black Foil Sheets scraps to get that shiny black look.) Then I added the witch – another image that I die-cut using the Cauldron Framelits from a printed sheet of the Toil & Trouble designer paper. You can also stamp and then die-cut this witch. The images in the Cauldron Bubble stamp set coordinate with the dies. But I just used the dies with the coordinating image from the designer paper. In fact there are several images in this designer paper that coordinate with the dies. Too fun! And it makes card making that much faster.
Be sure to watch the video for directions for putting together this fun fold card. It’s easier than it looks!

OH! Something fun that you can do on a card like this is stamp an inside image or sentiment on the front of the pocket so that it gradually appears as the card opens.
Here is the second Halloween version of this fun fold card that I created. Can you tell I am crazy about that Black Organdy Glitter Ribbon!? Just like the witch, the kitty image is die-cut from the same designer paper with a die from the same set of dies. The sentiments on both cards come from the Spooky Sweets stamp set.
Ever tie your knot or bow on the inside of your card? It is sometimes difficult from lack of space (or in this case unnecessary) to have the bow or knot on the front/outside of the card. Plus it adds a little pizzazz if you can just bring it around to the inside.
