I created several projects with this month's Paper Pumpkin kit. So I'm sharing most of them in two videos – one video (and close-up photos) today and the other by Friday or Saturday. After recording the videos last weekend, I kept creating! (Stay tuned scrapbookers. The pages are coming in those later posts.)
Did you get the June Paper Pumpkin kit?
The intended projects, the banner wrapped cards are so unique! The sequins and other elements in this kit triggered so many alternate ideas in my head, though. My first thought was shaker cards. And guess what?! I haven't even made one of those yet because the ideas just kept on coming.
As some of you may know, with every kit I like to "think outside the box" and come up with lots of alternate ideas so I can share with you (and my Paper Pumpkin subscribers) other options for what to create.
Today I am sharing with you:
- Three alternate card designs (2 versions of each)
- A festive 4th of July Banner (photos already shared yesterday)
- And a couple other ideas for the triangular cellophane bags.
Watch the video to get tips, measurements and directions. Then scroll down to see close-up photos of these projects and a list of extra supplies I used to make them.
Here are close-up photos of the banner card that the June 2016 kit directions instruct you to make. (This kit had enough supplies to make 6 cards with customizable banners.)
My 9-year-old son, Luke made this one above. Below are photos of the Luke and Nick and our neighbor Serenity working on this kit this past Saturday during our last (& super hot) day of our garage sale.
This is Luke working on his banner pieces for the card shown above.
Here are close-up photos of the alternate projects that I created from this kit that are shown in this video.

Thanks, Dianne! Glad you enjoyed the ideas. 🙂
Rachel thanks so much for the wonderful ideas! I have this kit myself but couldn’t think what to do with it and I just LOVE the ice cream cone catcher! Such a clever idea! And I must say that I never knew how to seal the glassine bags with an iron but I do now! 🙂
Thanks again for the wonderful ideas and your cards all turned out beautifully.
Hugs,
Jo
Thank you Jo! I’m so glad you liked my ideas. 🙂
