Each year I try to hold a special event just to show my appreciation to the demonstrators on my team. This year my husband, Tim helped me to serve them dinner!! – grilled chicken, strawberry & spinach salad, grilled corn on the cob, Italian bread, beverages and an "already made" apple dessert from Costco. I was super happy that many demonstrators on my team that live locally were able to attend. I'm sad that those that live far away and those that couldn't make it for other reasons were not with us that evening, though. So I'll be sending a special thank you in the mail to all of them soon.

Here are Beth and Vicki dishing up. (The chicken took a little long to grill, but everyone was very patient.)

Victoria, JoAnn, Beth and Cheryl graciously posed for me.

Denise and Tim gave me some great smiles, too.

But…Brenda and Lynn wanted to dive in. LOL

Because the chicken took awhile longer than expected, we started out in the Stampin' Studio with gifts, conversation and a "new catalog scavenger hunt" game. Then after dinner we stamped!!! (Cori was sweet enough to let me take a picture of her stamping her make 'n' take card.)

And these were the projects I had made for each of them as gifts. (I wish I would've taken a photo BEFORE everyone arrived. It's was beautiful looking at all the flower and gift-filled tables when it was all set up and ready.)

I gave each attendee one of these fun boxes with some yummy chocolates…

…and one of these cards inside.

These boxes are super easy to make, but they are also pretty unique. So the next few pictures below show how I made them.

Each one is made from a full 12×12 sheet of sturdy, card stock-like designer paper. I had stocked up on a bunch of Sale-a-Bration Irresistibly Yours designer paper back in March (it is now unavailable – sorry), so that's what I used.

First I scored each sheet in half at 6 inches.

Then I marked on the back side of the paper at 6 inches on the edges that ran parallel to the score line.

Using the ends of the score line and the pencil marks (all at the 1/2-way point along each edge), I connected them creating four more score lines…

…to get this look. I then folded along each score line,…

…added Fast Fuse adhesive to just two of the small edges (shown here), and…

…formed the box! Super easy, right?!

The last step was decorating. I added the ribbon through a slit that I had cut into the crease of the designer paper using a hobby blade.

And then I just tied on the wooden Expressions Natural Element piece using some baker's twine.

I've added links to the supplies I used for the cards and the boxes at the bottom of this post. Keep in mind that if you want to recreate these boxes, you'll need to use a sturdy 12×12 paper of some sort.
