Here's a fabulous, super easy to make treat box that you can recreate for any party or celebration coming up. AND you can change the colors if needed to match whatever candy you would be adding to the box! I used the limited edition Lindt Lindor Milk and White Chocolate Truffles which go perfectly with Cucumber Crush and Daffodil Delight Stampin' Up! colors.
Got Reese's Minis instead? Use Daffodil, Tangerine and Gold. Got Dove Mint & Dark Chocolate Swirl candies instead? Use Mint Macaron, Chocolate Chip, and Silver.
The base box color can be the same for any of these color combos…Whisper White. And now Stampin' Up! has a heavier weight Whisper White card stock – perfect for greeting card bases and boxes! (Check out the supply list below for ALL supplies used to make this treat box.)
To build this box, first die-cut the box. Stamp the front using VersaMark ink.
Sprinkle on the Iridescent Ice Embossing Powder.
Shake off the excess. And heat to "set" the powder. I LOVE this powder! It's glittery and looks like sugar!
Next stamp your "sweet treats" image once in Daffodil ink and another time in Cucumber ink. Cut the images out (being sure to cut the Cucumber image along the inside line instead). Then layer these images on top of one another. And pierce holes for the brads.
Lay this layer onto the front section of the box, and pierce again through those same holes. Lift up to add a couple Dimensionals underneath in the middle. Then attach to the front of the box using brads. (I added a green sequin to each brad before securing it into the box.)
To assemble the box, use a very strong adhesive such as Fast Fuse or our new Tear & Tape. Add the candies to the inside. Then create your "sugar, sugar, sugar" sign. Stamp the message with Cucumber ink onto the Daffodil card stock and punch out. Attach this circle to a larger Cucumber circle and then to a small foil doily. Insert a toothpick with a glue dot and then add to the inside back of the box using glue dots.
Can you imagine how cute these would be as party favors? Or better yet…cheer up someone who has been going through a hard time.
