In about a month I'll be hosting a Paper Crafting Retreat. It's a 4-day weekend with classes, demos, prizes, gifts, sales, and TONS of TIME and SPACE to work on personal scrapbooking, card-making and other paper-crafting projects. I have 18 ladies joining me, and each of them get two classes included in the fee of the retreat.
One of the popular ones is a mini Stamp-A-Stack – a card-making class where participants will make 6 Christimas cards (2 of 3 kinds). Below is one of the 3 kinds of cards they will get to make. And it is made using the new Label Thinlits Die!
Like yesterday's post, the next series of photos shows how to open the card.
The Label Card Thinlits Die a fabulous card-making die that I highly recommend you put on your wish list today if not purchase today. 😉
This is one of my favorite Christmas cards, because I always like to include a photo of my 2 children when I mail my holiday cards. And here is the perfect space for just that.
You can also see here that I tied the knot of my ribbon on the inside of the card – the inside should be pretty, too. Plus the ribbon positioned here hides the back side of the designer paper taped to the front top of the card.
This simply adorable little tree is from a stamp set called Pennant Parade. I stamped it on white card stock and punched it out with its coordinating Petites Pennant Builder punch.
Easy-Peasy and QUICK!
Stamp Your Art Out! ~Rachel
Supplies Used: Pennant Parade stamp set (wood-mount or clear-mount), More Merry Messages stamp set (wood-mount or clear-mount), Early Espresso and Old Olive Classic ink, Cherry Cobbler and Old Olive card stock, Whisper White and Basic Black card stock, Cherry Cobbler Seam Binding Ribbon, Paper Snips, Label Card Thinlits Die, Season of Style Designer Series paper, and Petite Pennants Builder punch.
Okay – question for you? I’m curious what size cardstock did you use? 5 1/2 x 11? Love how this turned out!
4″x11″
what is the finished and folded card size measure? I love that you can place a larger pic inside.
4″ x 5-1/8″
What a great idea to place a photo inside. I also like seeing the Thinlit Label Card Die presented in a different way or orientation than usual.
Thanks, Sue. I appreciate your kind words. I have that mindset when designing cards for my crafters. I think many of us like to share pics of our family members at the holidays nowadays.
