My friend and fellow team member, Vy Tran from Crafting Daily Dose creates some impressive cards. If you’ve never seen her projects, click here for her Instagram posts or here for her YouTube videos. Her latest design got me so excited that I had to make a version of it right away. It’s a pop-up card that goes from flat to fantastic! And the base is a hexagon shape when in the full pop-up position.
This is a “show-n-tell” post today – no directions or measurements. Here are the two versions of this card I made using the Taco Fiesta Stamp Set & the Irresistible Blooms Stamp Set (available 3/1/23).
Products I used… See below for a few of the products I used. They are linked to where you can find them in my online store.
Fun, right?!
This is the top view of the “nacho” card.
And it folds flat and fits inside our A2/medium size envelopes.
Here are a couple close-ups of my “holy guacamole” card. On this one I remembered to emboss the Parakeet Party cardstock (the guacamole) before assembling. This one is actually made a little bit differently than the “nacho” one, because I put it together before I reached out to Vy. I love trying to figure out things like this on my own. I love the challenge!
Oh! And can you tell what the red and green bits are?
Tomatoes and cilantro! I gave a wet, shiny look to my tomatoes with a bit of Fine Tip Glue.
I hope you enjoyed these ideas. To get Vy’s fabulous measurements & instructions for this type of card, click here for the details on her Queen Bee Workshop.

Rachel,
This is SO ADORABLE! I did go over to Vy Tran’s website … very creative, thank you for the link. Thank you for making your version. I am expecting the stamp set this coming week … now I can hardly wait.
Glad my card got you even more excited for your set. Thanks Suzanne. 😃
Love to learn how to make the nacho bowl bur no instructions? I like I’ve Tran but she does give any instructions for free and most have been done by someone else
Thanks Margaret. You may be able to find instructions somewhere else at no cost. But for now, I am only sharing my end results.
love this idea but how did you do the chips? I ordered the dimensions from Vy tran
Thanks for supporting Vy!
For the chips, I just cut them from so saffron card stock to triangle size with rounded corners, stamped them with the speckled image from the new Irresistible Blooms stamp set in Crushed Curry and Early Espresso ink, and used the bone folder to curl them a bit.
This is so cute! I love it!
Thanks Tracy 🌶️
These are so cute! Thanks for sharing. I have found videos on making these Hexagonal platform cards. A little different from Vy’s but I figured out what to do. Now I’m just waiting for the stamp set to arrive next week to add the finishing touches. ❤️
Yippee! Enjoy Karen. I’ll be sharing my version of the fold in May.
I wish you would do a video to demonstrate this card the flat platform pop up. VY never gives out instructions! How does she think she’s so beyond that she does not share information. Sorry I refuse to pay for this fold card. I use to like your you tubes but since you don’t have one on this card I don’t know if I will continue. I have found some instructions on this so I will not need to purchase nor would I. Vy makes me angry. Is she a demonstrator doesn’t she want to sell Stampin up? I can’t believe you went to this rabbit hole with VY. I have not already said this
I tried emailing you but there was an issue connected to your email address you used for leaving your comment. In the future, feel free to email me privately when you have a question and are angry. I’m sorry you are upset Margaret, but you made some conclusions that are incorrect…
I actually have this fold on my list to share. Vy shared her directions with me so I could create this card. She was okay with me sharing it but just wanted me to wait a month or two to share directions. And then time slipped by and I forgot. I still plan to share, but just haven’t gotten to it yet. And yes, she and I were aware that there were others out there sharing these directions. There was no rabbit hole.
Please don’t be angry with Vy. She is talented, humble, kind and generous. And she is my friend. She shares SOOOOooo many other ideas freely and often. Only once in awhile does she have cards that she sells directions for which is smart business-wise. In fact many of us paper crafters (including me) have exclusive project ideas that we sell. So to judge her on this one situation is not fair.
Please message me via email sooner if you find another post where I promise to share and possibly forgot. That way you don’t have to get upset and make any unnecessary assumptions.
I’m glad you found another set of directions to follow. Because yes, those are out there. And I hope you realize after seeing my reply that there was no intention hurt. I was only excited about the fold and wanted to respect my friend’s wishes to wait a bit.
Let me know if you have any further thoughts.
