I’m so sorry that it’s been awhile since I’ve shared any of my creations. Issues with broadcasting prevented my usual Wednesday post. But today I’ve got TWO sets of cards to make up for my absence. Yay! And these are super easy cards that you can recreate with many of your favorite designer papers.
The first two that I’m sharing here are super simple, but they show what I originally had in mind when I cut my first sheet of designer paper. The designer paper is really the “star of the show.” So you could adapt what I share to beautiful papers you already own.
I paired this paper with Mossy Meadow Cardstock (for the 4-1/4″ x 11″ base) and Granny Apple Green Cardstock for the inside layer (4″ x 5-1/4″). The white strip actually comes from the designer paper too.
These next two images show how I cut this 12×12 sheet of Awash In Beauty paper.
The first two cards I shared above came from the top sections of this sheet: two pieces that are 4″ x 5-1/4″ and two white strips that are 4″ x 3/4″.
The other sections of this sheet of paper (same measurements just cut differently) formed these easel cards. I used a bit of extra Basic White and Granny Apple Green cardstock for the sentiment layers.
The Mossy Meadow card base of each easel card has an extra score line (4-1/4″ x 11″ scored parallel to the short end at 2-3/4″ and 5-1/2″). And the 3/4″ x 4″ designer paper strip is the raised “stopper” for the easel. I added that strip with Dimensionals just above the 1-7/8″ x 4″ Granny Apple Green piece.
By the way, a complete list of products I used for all these cards is shown below and everything is linked to where you can find them in my online store.
I had so much fun with the cards above that I decided to make more from this sheet of Rustic Harvest Designer Paper.
I used the same measurements… cutting my 12×12 in half through the middle, then into 4″ wide sections, and then cutting a 3/4″ x 4″ strip off each of those. I used Basic White Thick Cardstock as my base and used an extra 1″ x 3″ strip for the sentiment. I used an Old Olive ink pad for the leaf stamp images on these cards. And I colored the Faceted Gems with my Mossy Meadow Blends Marker before adding them them to the sentiment strips.
This pumpkin paper is from the same Rustic Harvest pack. Obviously I couldn’t resist making more.
Yep…went a little crazy, didn’t I? But I WILL use them. In fact I’m sending these for team birthday cards this month.
Thanks for stopping by to see what I had to share today. I hope these ideas inspired your creativity
